Joke of a service Been a member for over 25+yrs. I think I've called them out 4 times in that period. Just tried to cancel my membership auto renewal for £249 (last year price was £208.61) today. What a load of hassle, seems like a scam organization, keep putting the prices up and moving you up from silver to gold membership with out your approval. Once your in your in, no getting out easy. Tried the live chat AA AI bot, they pass you over to human, today her name was Amy, put forward my request then she cut me off. You have to ring them, I wonder why, the old customer retention scam, you must ring them and be met by a sales advisor who will probably offer a discount or match the price from another service, with the idea of you probably forget about it until the next time where you will be back to square one and have to do it again and again. You have been warned.

AA declined to recover my vehicle despite being assured by the patrol man that I was covered and that I need only call to arrange the recovery. I was provided with inaccurate information to my detriment. AA Ceo office investigating, but it has now been weeks and no further forward. The organisation has little integrity and deserve the bad publicity. I will be ditching them for good when my packaged bank account is due for renewal.

I normally prefer to fly AA and like it for it's on flight amenities and service but on a recent family trip the baggage handler WWE Rock bottom'd our luggage down the ramp and my poor Aunt's carry on got severely damaged and cracked upon retrieving our baggage at our destination.

Drivers are brilliant. Customer service and business model is woeful. The Complete reliance on a shoddy app when you've broken down in the middle of nowhere is a dreadful idea. Particularly when there's limited or no internet service. What is so wrong with being able to pick up the phone and talking to someone? It's a stressful enough situation as it is and you just need to hear a reassuring voice. The organisation will charge existing customers premium rates once your introductory offer has expired so you need to keep your eye on that. So much for customer loyalty. Sorry but I'll be taking my money elsewhere until they've considerably upped their game. 12TOI.

All of the customer service agents I have spoken to have been pleasant. However, the issues do not get resolved. I was insured on a random registration number and waited a week for AA to obtain the call logs to prove it was not my mistake. This was fixed, however, even though the agent told me the incorrect reg policy would be cancelled, it was kept active and I was billed for both the incorrect and correct policies. I then contacted AA for a refund and was told it would be processed within 10 business days. Approx. 20 business days later, I have still not received it. I don't leave negative reviews as I understand mistakes happen, it is fine as long as they are fixed. My issues are not. I suggest purchasing insurance elsewhere. The agents are nice but problems are not solved.

Disgraceful service and communication As I wrote this, have now been sat awaiting rescue since just past 5:30pm yesterday Dec 12th. It’s now 1:25am on the 13th. I have called three times, had numerous false ETAs, via text AND their linked “live” site that has not updated for over four hours Upon my second call finally getting through, I was told that I was being put on a “priority” (call answered at just before 10pm) Called again at 11:19pm and was told I’d be picked up at 1:15 am. From then on in when I called your number because I’m not getting any “live” updates, the message when I click option 1 is saying “12am on the 1st of January”. It’s now 1:30am. Messaged to say pick up is 2:10am, driver has just called me. Absolutely disgusting levels of service, utterly abysmal communication via both the tech designed to make it easy and the “people” when you finally speak to someone…disgraceful.

Left stranded for over 4 hours in a cold December evening. Made numerous calls and after waiting over two and a half hours was told the breakdown still hadn’t been assigned. When making the initial call I was very clear that the recess shredded and could not be repaired and that we did not have a spare. When speaking to the AA 3 hours later they told me that it was marked as a puncture and that I had a spare. I made it very clear that the tyre couldn’t be repaired and that I would need a recovery vehicle to which I was told that they had to send a patrol no matter what and that a recovery vehicle would take another 4 hours. I was also given different versions of how long I’d need to wait told there where no AA vehicles and various other inconsistencies depending on who I spoke to on the phone. Terrible service. Terrible customer service. If you break down with the AA you have to be vulnerable or on a motorway for them ti do anything like their 40 minute supposed call out time. Absolute disgrace!!

AA should stand for AVOID AVOID. I filled in an online membership application. Gave them my vehicle reg etc. Set up the direct debit. Congratulations on being a member No 6356011542439785 The very next day, 45 miles from home my clutch went. I needed to be towed home. I was told I had to pay £ 150 as I wasn't a member for a full 24 hours. What a con. The first recovery truck from Bennets turned up. When told my address was 45 miles away. He said it was too far and left. He didn't tell the AA he left me. I had to make another request for help. The AA man Russell towed me home. Very professional and efficient. The whole experience took 7 hours. The fact Bennets just drove off was shocking. Also the £150 charge I had to pay as I claimed within 24 hours. My first breakdown in 40 years. AA = AVOID AVOID AVOID AVOID

Absolute rubbish. Initially had to wait 4 1/2 hours but unable to repair car. Then told the car would be moved but could take a further 48 hours. In meantime police (who had been very patient to this point) contacted emergency removal due to chaos car would have caused to morning traffic. This cost me additional £200. Find an alternative to AA if you possibly can. All the bad reviews I have subsequently read are accurate in my experience.

1st time I broke down, I informed them that my clutch pedal on my transit was broke and could not be fixed roadside but they insisted on sending a repair van. Waited 3 hrs for him to say in 10secs it need a recovery. Then a further 5 hours before the lorry arrived. It's now happened again. Broke down at 4:50pm didn't get a van hear until 8:20. Now waiting for a recovery lorry due to get here at 12:35am. An absolutely appalling company, service is not fit for purpose.
