I changed jobs to a hgv driver after telling the aa car insurer they wouldn't insure me for driving other vehicles unless I took out a new policy and it went from £300 ish to over a £1000 they said the under writers don't allow professional drivers to drive other vehicles but I could take a new policy out and it was very expensive I went to a new insurer Churchill and I am full comprehensive and can drive other vehicles and I go brake down with green flag all for £385.95 it looks like the as discriminate against professional drivers

I called aa to come to my home as my vechicle was showing a stop and warning sign nobody was to come out to look and advise just to come and tow me to a garage but what garage I'm not a mechanic and didn't know what was wrong not all garages do all repairs next day I managed to take my vechicle myself to a garage who just happened to have a fault machine reader and my vechicle was fixed in half an hour this is the service I should have got of the aa but never

Poor call handling, passing me from department to department, not logging a call out when they said they would. Breaking down is stressful enough and they are supposed to reduce not increase stress. I must have wasted 1 hr on the phone to them. And what a pain in the back side having to listen to all their info messages over and over again, also each department way to quick to try and pass me on. Then with mobile networks not being so great you get cut off and have to listen to all that garbage again. I want to speak to a person not listen to stupid music and info message. How hard can it be. (This problem Couldn't be solved via the app).

So much for the AA complementary 'Accident Recovery' service. Having stood at the side of a busy main road for 35 minutes going through all the details of my not-at-fault car accident in excruciating detail, I was then told that recovery would cost me nearly £400. I terminated the call and googled a local recovery company who outsource to National Breakdown. I was recovered to my home within an hour for £126. I will be cancelling my AA membership.

Truly abysmal. I pay for a premium package and it took them 10½ hrs and 2 different trucks to get me the 25 minutes drive from where I broke down on the M4 to Bristol. Go with a small independent breakdown service, they rely on their reputations. I'll be switching as soon as my cover is up for renewal.

I received an 'out of the blue' a 'no-reply' notice telling me that the AA were going to renew my motor insurance policy. To cancel my policy I had to wait in a PRIORITY queue for 30 plus minutes to talk to talk to the AA and eventually gave up after 45 minutes The AA is obviously making it difficult to cancel a policy , otherwise one could have responded immediately to cancel the policy if the AA email was not a No Repy email. I will never use the AA again for any of their services, if their PRIORITY telephone service is indicative of how the rest of their business performs, then I have made the right decision Jeff Redmayne

Been paying for 3 years, first time I needed to use them and what a joke. First they send a mechanic who did more harm than good, trying to unlock the electric steering wheel, forcing it even....then called a mate to come and change the lock, quoting me the price!!! When I said I didn't want anyone to do the work, and request the tow to my garage, I was told at least a 4 hour wait but most likely next day. They kept sending texts to delay the ETA, and in the end I gave up and called a private recovery service to tow the car. Will be cancelling the policy fisrt thing in the morning.

Terrible service, waited almost 5 hours for a recovery, and no updates, I had to keep calling the call centre. Avoid this company.

We broke in the middle of nowhere. Called the AA last night at 10:30pm they keep delaying our pick up, it is now 14.5 hours waiting and still have to wait another 2.5h... Staff making mistakes, truck made a mistake to find us, run out of time and had another job so they left us again waiting. This is ridiculous and we paid over £300... This is fraud. Absolute disaster. I DO MOT RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICES. Waste of money, time and energy...

Broke down yesterday at 1pm Took nearly a hour to get hold of an AA advisor on the phone…very frustrating Mechanic came at 3pm, did a few checks and said we needed a relay home A 3rd party recoverer touch arrived at 5.30pm after a 2.5 hour wait He would only take me to a services on the motorway…Then a second truck after another wait took us to the next motorway services. Now 8.30 pm the next truck finally arrived after5 hour wait around 1.30AM and dropped us off at another services We were now close to home but told next truck would be at 7.30 AM Sowe had to abandon the car and get a taxi home arriving at 3.30 AM So a journey of only 130 miles from breakdown to home took over 15 hours and the car had to follow the day after…..Very poor service really no service Looking at Green Flag

The worst scams I never seen in my life!!! They know how to take the money from ur bank and will refuse to assist you when u need them. I was in very difficult situation today and when they find out I need the bigger recovery lorry they decided to call me and say i was in different policy terminate on the spot. And they knew I was in venerable situation and needed help. My advice to you guys stay away this company as they r the biggest scammmmmmm!!!!

11 hour wait for assistance with no communication. They must have expected me to wait in my car overnight. All after paying 230gbp for last minute membership. Even the refund is taking up to 21 days.

AVOID!!!! After eventually getting through to the help line I was told they were busy and would get someone out in the next 2hrs. After 2 hrs passed the link sent was updated to 4 1/2 Hrs, the mechanic took one look and said we needed a recovery truck, which I was told would not be for another 2 1/2 Hrs and he could only take the car 10 miles! My home was 14 miles! You’d think after waiting 7hrs in the car they’d go the extra 4 as a goodwill jesture if nothing else. MEMBERSHIP CANCELLED.
