“Ordered ten pounds of the hot peppers. They were shipped promptly via two day air and arrived fresh as promised. Roasted, peeled, vacuum packed and in the freezer the following day. Peppers were firm and meaty. I ate a couple raw before roasting and reserved a few from the freezer to immediately make a pot of chili verde. The peppers have good flavor. However, if these are the 'hot' I likely should have ordered the extra hot. Perhaps living in Colorado enjoying chili peppers most of my life defines my opinion of hot differently than others. Certainly won't stop me from ordering Hatch again.”

Hi Armando, Taylor, VP of Operations here. I'm so sorry you were unhappy with the heat level of your chile. The heat level is very subjective and carries greatly from person to person. “When I placed my order I wanted to have it shipped to an address while I live at another address, the shipping address is different from my billing address. I am thinking of placing another order but if I can't ship to the address I'm considering ordering and pay for it with my billing address -- I'm not going to order again. The website wouldn't let me the first time, there won't be a second time.”

“My love affair with Hatch Green Chile dates back to when I moved to NM in 1980. What a discovery it was, it became a part of almost every meal for me and my family. When I moved from NM for employment reasons, I started ordering green chiles sent to me from Hatch no matter where it was I lived. This year I found the Hatch Chile Store and and ordered. I plan to order more of the many Hatch chile products they offer. Breakfast this morning was a hard boiled egg wrapped in Hatch green chile which I had roasted when it arrived and put portions up in storage bags.”

“I ordered a 10-lb box of fresh hot green chile and it arrived on my porch a few weeks later. The day after it arrived I roasted it on a gas grill and peeled it. The chile was very fresh and of high quality. It roasted very well and peeled perfectly. It's not quite what I consider hot, but it's very tasty and provides a satisfying kick. It seems a little pricey with the special shipping charges, but it's a luxury to have a taste of New Mexico here in California, and I feel it was worth it. My freezer is nicely stocked with roasted and peeled chile and should last several months.”

“My Mom taught me how to make Rellenos years and years ago and I have since made them for my family. They are so good, but so messy and clean up is a nightmare. I just discovered that Hatch Chile Store has them for sale. I ordered a package for myself and have already eaten half them. A bit costly, but so worth it. No fuss, no muss. I wiil order again soon. They could be packaged a bit tighter. The box was torn and the package of rellenos was hanging out, but still in tact”

“I received my Sandia peppers on Saturday, July 17 about a week earlier than last year. I roasted all 25# immediately. They were all in great condition minus 2-3 cut Chiles. Great flavor & not real hot. I'm going to have to order another 25# if I can come up with some extra cash. For 20 plus years I ordered from the "other" supplier and had problems often.Im so glad I switched! Thank you all for checking on my order.”

“I ordered Hot, but unfortunately they just weren’t. Very disappointed in the heat, flavor was decent however. I wasn’t allowed to return or get hot chiles as a replacement. Won’t order again.”

Hi Allison, Since the product ordered was a perishable food product, it is company policy not to accept returns. I'm so sorry you were not happy with the heat level of your chile. The heat level is subjective and varies greatly from person to person. It does look like we offered you 50% off a box of the X-Hot if you would like to try it.
