Hatch Chile this year was very disappointing. The Chile was not "HOT" as advertised! The Chile tasted like Bell Peppers and was hard and sort of crunchy. Chile after roasted should not be hard nor crunchy. Last time we ordered from Hatch the chile was roasted well, soft and was "HOT". This year the Chile did not taste like good quality Hatch Chile. Very disappointed!

It took over a month to get my order. When I inquired after 2 weeks, they said it was being processed and would ship out soon. I checked again in 2 more weeks and they then told me they had run out of stock but my order should ship soon. I was notified 2 days later that my order shipped which makes me believe they lost my order or forgot about it.

Hatch Chile is the best, however I am very disappointed that the 10 lbs of Green Chile “Medium” I received on this order has no heat at all. I am making this statement after eating about 2/3 of them since roasting and freezing them in October 2023.

Recently ordered 3 dozen chili rellenos. Website says free shipping but I was charged $50 shipping. Rellenos are mediocre at best. Egg coating was too thick and lacked taste. Chilis are small even for anaheims. I expected queso fresco not Monterey Jack cheese. Too much cheese. Overall very little flavor. I was hoping if they’re good I won’t have to make them myself anymore. I can make much better. I won’t be ordering again.

Hello Stuart, Thanks for your feedback. We do offer free standard shipping on all of our frozen products. You were charged $50 for shipping because you opted for Overnight shipping during checkout. We are sorry to hear that you did not like the rellenos. We use a New Mexican recipe and do our best to make it as true to our traditions as possible. We normally use American cheeses like Monterey jack, rather than more traditional Mexican cheese like queso fresco. Hope this helps. Regards, The Hatch Chile Store

I got pork tamales which I love but found them tasteless with a lack of flavor, even the masa covering was very plain, being a tamale effectionado, I was disappointed, especially since New Mexico is known to be the best..just giving an honest appraisal.

Ordered 3 products and have tried 2 so far. 1: The green chile cheese tamales had absolutely NO CHEESE in them and not as much chile as I had hoped for. They were extremely dry and the masa stuck to the husks and completely fell apart. Very disappointed. Description mentioned gooey cheese - and we got none at all. 2: Chile rellenos - much better than the tamales but still not what we had hoped for. Good amount of cheese, chiles were fine but way too much breading and it was soggy on the inside. We cooked per instructions in the airfryer and actually added 4 minutes to the time but breading still not cooked. 3: frozen green chiles - not expecting any issues with the straight chiles. Will not purchase tamales or rellenos again.

The delivery was “guaranteed” but two of the 4 boxs still haven’t been delivered because they ran out of product. Very disappointing

It was a nightmare of getting two simple orders (both bundles) straightened out re shipping, which I paid extra for, and shipping department ignored, and forgetting half the order. I have bought many of your products which we love, including fresh Big Jim’s and when those fresh chilies arrived spoiled you did replace them. So why these orders got all screwed up I don’t know. Ask Daniel.

You sent the wrong item. Instead of the hatch red chile roast(medium) that I ordered, you sent me the pure hatch green chile(medium). My order # is Hatc-224117-1.

Born and raised in New Mexico, went to college just up the road at S.silver City but now live in Indiana and was hoping serve my friends real New Mexican style Chile rellanos, I ordered mild green chiles and received medium to hot insted. When I complained you offered half off my next order. With my only choice medium or hot, truly not much of a choice.I am extremely disappointed with your so-called customer service and support.

Glad you should ask! Received a delay notice because of rain, the note said my order would be shipped the next week. When the next week arrived got another delay notice and in this note it said it would ship one day later, by now I'm feeling like I just got scammed. I had to call and find out about when my order was going to get here. At least you could have gave me a coupon or something like a discount for the next order or free shipping or anything since I was put back on my plans to roast it and that'll why I ordered it fresh this whole experience was not good especially because of all the scammers on the net. And me being a new customer you would think that after all that you would try to keep me coming back! But in the end my box finally got here when I no longer had the help to roast all the chilies. Thank you

Chile was pick to early it was not fully ready to be picked!!! When I roster the Chile the seeds turned black in color because chile was not ready to be picked! Chile was also delayed a week on shipping! Granted the shipping was not on you guys it was weather related issues! But picking chile you guys should be having quality checks on the pickers because this is the 3 year in a row it has happened and I even. Wait till September to order and am willing to wait longer if it is needed to get the quality of the Chile being picked

We Love the green chili seasoning but were very disappointed with the green chili. We normally get a full bushel from a different farm for slightly less than we paid for the small box we got b from the hatch store. Additionally the chilis that are not big Jim's were much smaller and harder to peel.

Maybe I’m just the unlucky one. First of all communication about delivery delay were none existent. So I disputed my CC charge. I receive one 4 lb box about a month ago and half of it was bad. I’ll never order from them again. Not at all worth the price

Sorry to say, after much anticipation - it was an anti climax. Actually, a disappointment. Many of the chilis were old - soft and wrinkled, some were even broken. I saw better ones in the supermarkets. Not a great experience. I roasted what I could and will be interested to see how long they maintain their flavour, in view of their deterioration. I'm sure the heat had something to do with it, but in this case, not worth the expense.
