I purchased a rug at the cost of £250. When opened from it's packaging, it appears to be used and second hand with a unremovable stain, water marks, cigarette burns and chair or table marks. This is a real shock. I'm just waiting to find out how the company deal with this situation as I expect that will make all the difference. So far, this is most unacceptable and unusual and I would urge real caution before buying from this company. I will post to advise of the resolution to this problem.

Wrong rug sent but told I could only return it at my own expense! The rug I received was different in colour and style to the one I chose on the website. James in the customer service team told me that it was a handmade rug and they all differ in style - the website did not state anywhere that this is the case. I am appalled by this company and feel that their website is misleading, especially given all the recommendations they claim.

Iordered a rug at about 9.30am Friday 18th November, cost £159.99 incl `free' delivery. About five minutes later I saw exactly the same rug (same size) on Amazon for £144 so rang Rugseller to cancel my order. I saw an email to confirm the Rugseller delivery was booked (for Tuesday), but assumed it wouldn't happen as I had cancelled. In fact, the rug did arrive, Monday am! Since then I have been trying to get The Rugseller sales office to agree that I telephoned to cancel and to arrange return, but they say no proof of calling, no Sales lady remembers me ringing, so the return is for me to arrange and pay for!! I also forwarded the Amazon e mail to confirm I had bought the other (cheaper) rug! Why would I order and take delivery of two rugs?

I found a rug on this website that was much cheaper elsewhere. I asked them to honour their price promise but they refused.

This company claim to match on price. I found the identical rug much cheaper on Groupon and they wouldn't match it. YOU CAN BUY THE SAME RUGS A LOT CHEAPER ON GROUPON

Shipping date delayed by almost 2 months, but no information about this at all until I emailed them a couple of weeks ago. I have then cancelled the order which was completely ignored. Still no reply also no refund of my money.

I placed the order for a rug 5 weeks ago, I still have not received one. After few days of order I was informed by email that myrug was not available, so I went for another. After another few days the second option was not available either, but first one came back in stock. Cut the story short, very poor customer service, no updates, complete lack of customer service and some teenagers working on the other side of the line when contacted by phone.

We have still not received our rug you delivered it via ups who tried to deliver the rug but we were not in so they advised us that it was taken to our local ups drop off point. We went there to collect it and were advised that was not delivered to them and this happens quite often with ups. I have no idea where my rug is and I am very disappointed. I have emailed ups and I have not received a reply you cannot speak to an operator everything is automated. Perhaps you could let me know when I might receive the rug. thank you kim foxall

I was promised next day delivery but the operator took the wrong postcode down and the rug went to Manchester and another couple of places in the u.k due to this. Your manager said sorry but this error was not very professional in my opinion. The rug in the end was darker than shown on your site and it has cost me £23 to return. Carol Shirtcliffe

I ordered a made to measure half moon rug in February this year. After just over 8 months it was finally delivered, this being nearly double the maximum time quoted on ordering. I do not have time to explain the entire story but this company has been awful to deal with, particularly when you have a problem. Customer service is terrible, compensation almost non existent and lastly I find it incredible to believe they asked me to provide feedback after providing such poor service. This goes to show how naïve this company is. The only good thing to say that the rug itself when it finally arrived was fine, just a shame it longer to make than to build our nearby lidls.

One rug was a different size from that advertised, the other had a flaw. Made numerous telephone calls and sent emails regarding collection for return and a refund and am still waiting to hear. Three emails have now gone unanswered.

Very late Delivery and lack of communication...very dissaponted The Rug when it arrived is not Red so why advertise in the "Red" category the colour is actually a dark wine colour. I do understand that in your T&C's you intimate that you cannot be responsible for customers perception of any colours as viewed on Internet however in this instance the colour was no where near being Red so why advertise it as "Red" We now have Rug that is no use whatsoever to us and would now cost us £25 to send back so probably not worth doing to then possibly wait another Month for a replacement.

3 identical rugs ordered - arrived all different colour variations, then had to constantly chase for updates and eventually lost patience and demanded full refund. Company admitted their Quality Control had not been good enough and gave them a chance to put this right but they didn't.

I ordered a small rug for my bedroom, when it came it was not the colour or the design I had ordered. I sent an email to say you had sent me the wrong rug and the email I got back was to say that was the rug I had ordered. I sent a picture of the rug I had ordered, they then said that I couldn't have the rug in the picture as the design would not fit on to a small rug. This just was not true as I already had a rug with the design and colour on it. I have ordered a few rugs from The Rug Seller in the past but after the way I was treated I will not be ordering any more.

How they got that high reviews? Order placed on 06.10.16 we are on 26th now and nothing from them, basically you buy from them and they use your money to get the carpet for you, after a week from order they sent my an email ,that they do not have on stock one of the carpets that i ordered and they gonna send it in roughly a month. Customer service .....awful...the lady on the line was keep repeating me that i'm gonna receive the goods in the delivery time 2-10 days, i had to remind her that passed all ready 14 days (Working days)..and finally i got a promise that ill have on time at least one of the rugs, that time passed and now i prey to get at least my money back from them. Zero stars from me, if i could select that

The rug arrived and was all creased with fold lines even thiugh it was rolled round a cardboard tube. The rug wasnt good quality. Looked cheap but the fold marks were awful and would not have come out. When i complained and asked to return it. Th return process was not easy. I had to pay my own return postage. I was given a link for courier companies which was way more expensive than contacting courier companies direct. The initial response from rug seller was "regrettably tge return itself is up to you i will send a link for courier companies" regrettably its up to me!!!! I did eventuallt get an apology but too soon to see if they refund all money and postage

Ordered in July, company kept making excuses, blaming the supplier. Delivery dates were being pushed back at every correspondence. No sense of sincere apology
