I have bought several furniture items from Designer rooms in the last 6 months and have had the following issues: A bed room package for my daughter, ordered 6 months ago. First bed and chest of drawer arrive damaged. I call the customer services and a few days later I am offered paint to paint over the chipped panels. I complain and then they offer me a new bed replacement and a new part to replace the chest of drawer. Second bed arrived several weeks after and it’s worst then the first bed. With the panels chipped this time on the outside of the bed, very visible, I call again and the customer service manager promises that she will ensure the third bed is checked prior to deliver to make sure it is not faulty. The third delivery arrives again a month later. The delivery guy asks what is wrong with the bed and what is being replaced. He then goes to the van and comes back to say he is sorry the bed panels are all chipped , therefore leaves without replacing anything. I have been in touch with the manager again. I have been offered a replacement or a new bed all together however I can’t not go through this again. Designer Rooms has beautiful furniture however what you receive isn’t what you see in the showrooms. 6 mints later and 3 replacements later and my daughter’s bed is still damaged with chipped panels. We ordered a Fuji dining table 1.8m long and after weeks of waiting we receive a 2m table that has massive scratches on the glass, and it’s obvious it’s ex display furniture. I call again and get a partial refund on this just so I take my review off. The TV unit , first arrives chipped, a replacement part arrives weeks after but then the delivery drivers cause further damage by replacing the damaged part. I order a replacement one again and week later another one arrives it’s fine but the LED light isn’t working. So after 5 months of being in our new home we were finally able to put our new TV on. Moving on to the coffee table , again weeks after ordering a damaged table arrives with scratches on the glass and on the legs. I call and return the table with full refund however I had waited all this time to have my coffee table with the same quality I saw in the showroom but what I received again was an ex display table. I purchased a new coffee table from John Lewis and it’s in perfect condition with no scratches on the glass. My experience has been awful and so stressful. I am still waiting for my dining chairs and worried what quality they will arrive in and how much more of this I can take. Please avoid designer rooms, they send you ex display furniture when you have purchased a new ones. They do not quality check their products before delivery and take weeks and weeks for delivery. Can’t say much about their customer services either. You get better quality items in IKEA to be honest. At least you get what you pay for. Dishonest company (sending you ex display furniture and charging for new), poor quality furniture and long delivery times. Avoid at all costs.

6 months still no delivery date for the furniture I ordered. Shocking customer service and after sales service with no commuation whatsoever. Loophole they are using is we were only given an approximate delivery date so are not entitled ro a refund. Make sure if buying from this company to get an exact delivery date in writing. 🤬

Shocking service, ordered a dining set 17th June been told 4 deliver dates now and 4th one today 31st Oct , won't hold my breathe...that will be 20 weeks since I paid them full price...no communication from them it takes me to call or email....Will never order from this company again, just wish I had seen these reviews before hand

Wouldn’t recommend this company as for customer service….words fail me…. Quick at taking my cash payment but I’ve waited since March it’s now September still not resolved…would love to speak to owner Ryan

Designer Rooms following a visit from technical staff who confirmed my leather suite was flawed not fit for purpose called me to say problem was wear & tear and not a fault. Someone is not telling the truth. Not the sort of company anybody should trust to supply quality goods. Please beware.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Still not resolved. No communication No apology No resolution 1. I was told 6 week delivery 2. I was told payment was required in full to order 3. 10 weeks passed no delivery and no update from Designer rooms 4. I called 3 times to be told the stock hadn’t arrived and there was nothing they could do. Note: no apology offered during any of my 3 calls 5. Finally on my fourth phone call a delivery date was agreed Note: 14 weeks after my purchase 6. Planned delivery day I was contacted at 3pm to be advised the goods would not be delivered as the van had broke down. Note: still no apology 7. Finally the goods arrived, faulty and with the wrong screws. 8. I had to supply photographic evidence of this despite it being reported by the delivery staff 9. Now being told this cannot be resolved until the supplier re-opens at the end of August, a further 22 days from deliver I fully appreciate that unforeseen situations arise, however communication an apology and an anticipated solution goes along way. In future I will shop elsewhere and would advise any other customer to do the same. Expensive furniture/store with the most appalling customer service department and customer aftercare. Once they have your money they don’t care. Shop at Next at least they try to resolve any issues and communicate with you.

AVOID! AVOIDI AVOIDI !!! I would give zero stars if that was an option. I have never experienced such poor service and they just don't care. Do not expect them to communicate with you. You will spend weeks chasing them. Do not expect them to communicate with each other. That won't happen. Do not expect them to take ownership of the issue. They don't know how to. You can buy the item you like, cheaper elsewhere. Do it.

Furnished new house mainly from designer rooms part of which was an expensive leather suite. Unfortunately part of which has deteriorated just after the 12 month warranty period elapsed the surface is peeling off not in areas of wear. Designer Rooms have totally turned their backs and accepted no responsibility without even the courtesy of looking at it. Disgraceful customer service and indeed attitude.

Paid for a small mirror which was in the warehouse and ready for collection in a few days. No contact made by DR to collect in 7 weeks despite me making contact with them to chase up the order. Item is only now ‘available’ because I have requested a refund. Absolutely shocking service. Their “no refund” policy is a breach of the Consumer Rights Act 2015 when they cannot fulfill an order.

Spent over £1700 on a sideboard, couple of lamps and a clock. One YEAR later and the sideboard just arrived this week after threatening them with court action. The lamps and clock...still not here. And like everyone else....you guessed it...no refund allowed. Don't know how they get away with this.

Ordered a sofa on 9th June and told it was UK made and quoted 4-6 weeks delivery. Now being told its not due to them until mid September-15 weeks after order. They wont refund deposit. Absolutely shocking customer service.

I placed an order for furniture in october last year.... guess what!!!! 10 months later ,still no furniture. I paid when i placed the order ... big mistake.. As the other customers are saying they will not refund your money, only offer store credit which is absolutely useless if you dont need anything else... They told me they always have problems with that supplier, but have opened a new showroom in Braehead and on display is the a piece of furniture that they said they can't get. I too have contacted trading standards, the guy said next time he is talking to them he will bring it up. To me that sounds like he talks to them quite a bit.. I wonder why ??? To all those who are thinking in purchasing anything from this company.. think long and hard.. these reviews are from real people with a real problem

Terrible customer service!! Sales people promise delivery dates just to hit their targets then they don't even bother you to tell you that delivery will now be 10 weeks instead of of 4. No wonder they have deleted the reviews from their Facebook page- says it all really. More and more people leaving reviews on other sites dissatisfied with the service and lack of refunds. Hide behind their Terms & Conditions and won't even return calls when you want to speak to a manager. Will never use again and will tell everyone I can about my terrible experience with them. I only wish I could give zero stars instead of 1. Cowboys!

Worst experience ever, bought furniture for room, told it would be here mid August, 10 weeks from purchase fine, I enquired if still on target date, to be told nope container issue won’t get till end October. Visitors coming with no suite to sit on. Request cancellation as Miss sold household items told nope, poorest customer service with no concerns that I’ve got nothing in house for guest arriving. Told no refund. So now I need to buy new suite. I will not take delivery of the one from The Designer Rooms in October. Bought plenty from them over years, certainly won’t be back after this experience. Would advise anyone not to buy from them. 🤬🤬🤬

You'll never get a refund. My 83 year old parents purchased 2 seater leather couch, 3 seater leather couch, leather chair, leather footstool. TV stand large cabinet all living room. Unfortunately due covid we have gone back forth numerous times. Today is 17th phone call. Probably 20/25 emails, contacted trading standards. Initially problem ignored then Castalan came did Repair 1. Stuffed settee cushions and left chair. Said wasn't in his chit. Contacted Designer Rooms... Repair 2. This was waste time. Engineer said couldn't repair... Manufacturer default. You sit cushions settees... Slide into sides couches. Unsitable. Your ribs get crushed. Called today spoke Joanne already spoken Kim and email just received... Yeah you guessed it Repair 3. Seemingly Castalan now sent spare parts to fix 2 x settees therefore 4 sides. It's a joke. Couldn't tell me if spare parts coming Vietnam. Told Joanne we'll be lucky this sorted 2022. Waiting game. Phone call into Castalan we were told unrepairable but drainer rooms insisting Repair number 3. Who knows where parts coming from, how long and when all this furniture will be able to be sat on. Unsatisfied
