“I have long been a sake afficionado, and have really strived to develop my palate and my knowledge of the many different brewing techniques and flavor profiles. I've been to Japan multiple times, and recently began the process of sake sommelier certification. I live in a large, west coast city with a well-curated, but rather small sake selection in the local Japanese grocery.
I wanted access to a larger set of choices and Tippsy absolutely rocked my world once I discovered it. There is no better way to begin a sake journey, or to expand your sake tastes if you already are a fan of this great beverage, than by investigating Tippsy. The customer service is great, the site is delightfully well organized, the newsletter and youtube videos are wonderful fun, and the sake club is just perfect (while I buy most sakes by my own choice, I also have signed up to have them send me their selections a few times a year, and they zeroed in on my flavor preferences very well). Love the sake "cabinet" so I can easily find and re-order my favorites. I also enjoy the rewards system, which is a fun little perk.
I recently installed a dedicated sake fridge and Tippsy keeps it well stocked! Can't recommend them warmly enough.”
“My first order was actually a Tippsy box. Shipping was fast and box was in excellent condition. The box also had a couple surprises which was very generous.
One note would be I wish when you select to replace a bottle of sake with a different bottle for you box. That they would give you a little more options.

The only drawback is they don’t give an estimated delivery date at the time of purchase, and the gift ended up arriving well after Christmas. I did receive an order confirmation within minutes of placing the order, which gave me the delivery timeframe, however I reply immediately to cancel the order and no one replied.”

Shipping should be always with UPS as FedEx is trash and always screws up the order in my area (Not Tippsys Fault but worth mentioning). Make sure your order is not being sent FedEx if you can avoid it. Giving 5 stars because the store and service is awesome, just wanted to mention the carrier issue so it gets corrected in the future.”
