We booked the Tour du Mont Blanc Hotel Trek through tourradar last fall. The booking was smooth and when there were glitches their staff was very prompt and helpful to a point. In the spring we heard through a friend that our tour was cancelled and no one from Tourradar or Exodus had contacted us. You can imagine our dismay. We had to rebooked dates of the trip, airlines, transports, hotels etc. The main problem is that no one accepted responsibility. Yes they were very apologetic but it took us many emails to have SOME of the additional fees taken care of. Again, everyone was very apologetic but that only goes so far. Even though I had emails saying that the trip was confirmed they said it was not and that we should have waited to book flights etc. When you are wrong-just say so. I may use them in the future but I now know that I need to verify the confirmation of the trip with the actual trip operator.

While we are glad to hear that we have been prompt and helpful in the early stages of your booking experience, we regret to hear that the later stages were not as smooth upon learning that your tour departure has been withdrawn. While disappointing, tour operators may sometimes have to withdraw tours due to operational reasons. For this reason, we do not recommend that travellers purchase flights until a departure is guaranteed. As per our correspondence, it also looks like we have communicated your concerns to the operator and increased your TourRadar Savings to help offset some costs you’ve experienced with the changed departure. Since this was our first experience, we had hoped for more information from the person we contacted. We made 2 initial calls and the first was not helpful at all.

in general the website offers easy infos about the different trips. Also the multiple choices for dates, regions and so on are helpful. the description of the trips can, however, be shortened. Why a new page for every day?

Tour Radar's responses to questions were almost immediate. Although there was a change required to my tour planned date, this was highlighted and upon my re-confirmation, tour was then re-confirmed promptly.

Booking was very easy until it came to the optional items. I found this was tricky because I did not know what all the things meant or if they were truly needed. So I clicked on the chat on the side hoping to have some clarity before I ordered something, but they sent it to the tour company and answered it the day after, when it was already ordered. So if there was more information for clarity on this area, would make it exceptional!

for the past two years i was trying to plan an ancient greece trip... till two days ago i hadn't found a companion nor an affordable way for traveling alone on a budget so i was skeptical... but i was feeling the time had come and voilĂ  thru one of my google searches TourRadar showed up :) communication is very slow tho! TourRadar wouldn't give me any information unless i'd book the tour, but once i booked TourRadar disappeared leaving my questions unanswered till i had to insist... it seems TourRadar depends on expat explore to give most of the info, and expat explore is even slower... so far so good, but bc it's a very expensive tour i was expecting more care, i feel kinda adrift!
