My first time that I rented an vehicle with Turo was with a guy name Allen which was a Rav 2016 SUV the first thing he said to me was don’t drive my truck like you’re crazy treat it as your own he didn’t speak and wasn’t friendly at all so I looked at him and didn’t say anything the only reason I took the truck bc it was a surprise rental from my daughter and son & law and didn’t want to waste their money I only had Allen’s truck for only 1 day and 13 hours bc his beam around his rim was broken an made the air to go out his tire we called roadside assistance it took them over 5 hours just for them to return it back to the owner so I communicate with Allen the whole sent him pics of every show him what everything looked like talk with Turo about all this even told them that he was harassing me calling me all time of the night I’ve even told him let’s keep this professional and that I will be talking with Turo on here out but Allen just kept on sending messages voice calling blowing up my phone then he put pics on the website talking about I damaged something under his truck then he waited 20 something days later after I rented from a couple more people and put up a another pic saying I damaged his gas tank really why are you still looking on my profile Allen why my son & law was charged over $1k just for 1 day and 13 hours Turo kept lieing to us about talking to corporate they never gave them my information they have banned me from Turo they have took Allen’s side so what was the point of me providing my proof to do they locked me out of my account the last two cars I had gave me 5 stars and I did the same I treat people and their stuff as if it was my own if I had a lawyer I would contact them regarding this Turo should be ashamed of themselves for treating me this way because the customer supposed to be right depends the situation because I have a business an in order for your customer to keep coming back you have to make them happy or pleased with what they are buying from you right is right and wrong is wrong all day long But Turo and Allen will get what’s coming to them because what goes around comes back around but I pray that god will fix this for me . But don’t I mean don’t rent from this person Allen trust and believe me I’m not the first person nor will I be the last person he has done this to. Also I show him his tire pressure he had in his tires as well as the beam being broken with knots in his tire because if I ran over something why when the roadside assistance put air in his tire it stayed in there.

Sorry does not have any concern for the welfare of their host. They will leave you high and dry. Don't do it.

My husband rented a car from host Damon , it was a 2014 Chrysler 200 . When he picked up the car everything was fine until the brakes started to make a loud noise every time my husband put on my brakes. I informed the host after returning the car and I gave the host a bad review. The host sent a invoice for 500.00. 166.00 and one for 32.98 , stating we had damage the car and cleaning fees. The host admitted to renting the car out to a guest for a whole month he didn’t check the car maintenance or anything else now he wants to say we damaged the car

Host Jason B canceled my car rental last minute when I had to be out of town for a funeral. I would never rent from Turo again. They are very unreliable. Please save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.

Turo Lost my business forever over $37. Summary: Turo does not protect the customer from shady hosts who falsely advertise, have poor business practices, and unprofessional customer service. SEATAC | Triple9 Luxury Rentals I rented a car through the Turo app for a 6/16/24 6:30pm pickup at SEATAC airport in Washington. When finding this vehicle, I filtered by "no airport pickup fee" in the Turo app. I booked a car from Triple9 Luxury rentals (https://triple9express.com/about). Upon arrival at airport, the host, Triple9 Luxury Rentals, messaged me pick up instructions to pick up car in airport parking lot 1M space 30. As they advertised free airport pickup, I assumed that is what I was getting. I assumed based on precedent set by previous Turo rental experiences, that the pickup option provided was what worked best for the host as they manage many vehicles in their inventory. I unlocked the vehicle and proceeded to the exit. Upon exiting I was charged $37 for airport parking. The car I booked was parked in the parking ramp at 3:15am that morning - 18.25 hours earlier. In the vehicle description, as acknowledged by host and Turo, the host stated that they had free airport pickup by taking a free shuttle to the nearby Hampton Hotel. At the time of pickup, they only gave me the airport parking pickup option. They did not give me the free shuttle to Hampton Hotel pick up option. As I was expecting free airport pick up, as advertised, I assumed this pickup option was free and the option that was most convenient for the host. I did we agree, to pay a $37 parking exit fee. BTW Turo, stating in a vehicle description general language such as “customer is responsible for all airport parking fees” is not a valid contract or meeting of the minds. When I brought this up the host, they refused to take any accountability. They were completely unreasonable. When I called Turo, they said that they acknowledge my situation and the facts presented but they cannot do anything and that I would have to speak to the host. Net resolution, Turo just lost my business forever! …over $37. More Fun Turo Stories… As a regular Turo user, I learned quickly that pickups and drop offs with Turo has the feeling of shady back-alley illegal transaction. At LAX for example, one hosts messaged me prior to pick up with instructions to take a free airport hotel shuttle to a nearby luxury hotel where someone would pick me up, drive me around the corner from the hotel and give me the keys to the vehicle that was parked there. In another instance, I was instructed to take a free airport parking shuttle to offsite parking. Once there I was messaged that the car was not in its space as originally texted and that someone would drive up shortly outside the parking lot so I could avoid paying the parking exit fee. In each case, all hosts (except for Tiple9) understand that competitors like rental car companies, Uber, and Lyft have free and convenient airport pickups and they are further aware that all customers want to avoid the exorbitant airport pickup fees and communicated free options accordingly - even if those free options require some flexibility and leaps of imagination. In April 2024, I booked a Turo for pickup at LAX. Once I got to the offsite parking structure and space the car should have been, the host messaged me that they canceled the booking due to “maintenance” reasons. Neither the host nor Turo offered any kind of compensation for such an inconvenience. It was up to me to book another Turo, change my plans, and Uber to another pickup location. After several painful phone calls, Turo agreed to cover the Uber ride. There is a definite need for an alternative to rental car companies, Uber, and Lyft. Turo is not it!

Worst experience I had with Turo being a host.., never post your car in Turo if you really care your car and also they not gonna support in terms of reimbursement nor claims they just a money ***** company who cares only charging for the trips neither on post trips supports..! The following attachement shows the responsibility of TURO to their host..! So the client has not returned the car when I asked the client didn’t respond she neither returned nor extended and see the response I got from TURO.. be aware of this fraudulent platform..!

Without a shadow of a doubt the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have worked in customer service for many years to the extent where I have run my own company. I would quite simply not use these people, they are simply appalling to deal with.

I had the worst experience using Turo. The app allows hosts to ask for positive reviews in exchange for discounts, which is unethical and misleading. After my trip, the host requested a 5-star review in exchange for a future discount. This behavior is not only dishonest but also against fair review practices. Additionally, I was charged $500 for a pre-existing scratch on a 2012 Chrysler, which is outrageous. The car was already full of scratches and not in the condition shown in the listing. Furthermore, the fuel policy is unfair. I was charged $50 for a full tank even though I returned the car with 1/4 tank, having received it with 3/4 tank. The vehicle was also not as described. The license plate was different, the color was slightly off, and the car was dirty upon pickup. There was no lockbox for the key as claimed by the host; instead, I had to leave the key on top of the back wheel in a public area, making it insecure. To make matters worse, Turo suppressed my honest review because it was written after a complaint was reported. This kind of censorship is unacceptable and undermines the transparency of the platform. Turo seems to prioritize hosts over customers, making it clear they do not care about the user experience or customer satisfaction.

I'm giving 1 star because I'm feeling generous. Other than the last time I used Turo, the owners are generally good. But God forbid you need anything from the company. They make it easy to beat you to death with fees, but if you need a person on the other line, forget about it. First, they can't even get an 800 number. Not that difficult. Second, as most businesses these days, when you do get a person, they have no clue how to help you and when they do, you can't even understand them. Because my account was "under review" but they refused to tell me why, I was unable to use Turo for a trip. That being said, I have deleted them and will be going back to the more reliable car rental agencies. They fee you to death as well, but at least I can get things done with them. Adios Turo.

My host Jamal (Greensboro, NC Red Ford Focus 2017) had the pickup location on Market Street the worst ever. I picked up the vehicle on the 21st, he had apparently rented on the 20th but did not inspect the vehicle. I returned the vehicle safe on the 24th without any scratches etc. that were not already present prior to renting. On the 25th at 5 pm Jamal decides to file a claim stating I damaged the car in multiple spots. Once Turo has a claim you are screwed and he knows this! The images he shared on the 20th showed the same damages he claimed occurred on my trip. I disputed the claim so he decides to harass me via text messages. Jamal has no idea how legally savvy I am and the connections I have. DO NOT RENT FROM JAMAL HE IS A SCAM!!!!!!!! There should be a Zero star option

I returned my car to the renter and he accepted the vehicle after visual inspection. After three weeks passed he is claiming that there were some scratches and I am responsible and claiming $605 in damage. Turo is threatening to report me to collections for this scam. I will never use Turo as it left a bad taste in my mouth. I explained it all in an email but no one cares.

Watch out for extra charges, when you book the give you one price and after you click they jack the price , I book a car for 41 and when I click except the charges the price jack to 69 , I go back and the price change again , on top of that they add trip fee , booking fee, insurance , so from 82 dollars for two days when to 169 dollars per two days

Turo seemed like a great company to work with at first. Then I get an invoice with toll fees that I never accrued. The tolls were accrued in 2 other states that I didn't go to with the vehicle. When speaking with the customer service representative, she was rude and disrespectful l. Extremely unapologetic.

Horrible experience!!! NEVER AGAIN! My Fiance booked a white mustang near the LAX airport the host name is Erika M so beware! The first time the car died on us we were supposed to be going to the early access to universal studios so we didn’t make it on time since we had to wait to get our car jumped. Last night the car died again for the second time, we were SD visiting our good friends and we called a towed and that cost a $150 for a jump. Then when we made it to LA we needed to get gas and then for the third time it died when we turned it off to but gas and got another tow truck to help us jump the car. This whole entire trip has been horrible because, and the host was not even compromising with a request with a fair reimbursement! We spent more money and time then we shouldn’t have!!!

Just Don't! This was one of the most miserable, horrible customer service experiences I have had. I booked a car with months of anticipation. The host cancelled one month before the rental. Turo did not want to honor the price in the agreement, since prices went up. I could not use another company as the price was double. It has taken me weeks to finally get them to honor it, after hours of work and requesting dispute mediation. Horrible company, horrible service. The price is right which drew me in, but never again.

Turo took $750 out of my bank account and didn’t book my car. I tried to resolve the issue with a lady and she was completely rude!!! She said I wouldn’t receive my money in the next 3 to 5 business days which completely ruined me and my families trip that we’ve been planning for MONTHS!! She hung up in my face.
