“I ordered from my regular Indian restaurant, driver delivered food to me in hand at my front door (smelling of alcohol)!!, order was wrong, I told rider, he blamed restaurant and said would come back with correct order. The rider called me after few minutes (approx 11pm) demanding a tip if I wanted my food!! Found it strange, I called restaurant and they said rider is coming back with correct food and will question rider for why he’s drinking on duty and also wrong demanding a tip! was up waiting till 1.30 am and nothing and no food, I then noticed that on the ap the rider took a pic of the wrong order at my front door and falsely claimed he delivered my order using a wrong account as picture on Ap was a female and rider was a male! Uber customer service is very shockingly poor! I spent nearly £50, and received nothing and not even a refund I have now cancelled my £60 Uber one membership! Feel I’ve been scammed and will Not Trust using UBER EATS again. I wonder what the driver does with the food he doesn’t deliver! Date of experience: 04 May 2024”

“Uber eats is a rip off. I paid for the yearly membership and wish that didn’t. They can’t seem to get drivers and when they do, the orders are wrong. It’s ridiculous. For the amount of money you spend, you’d think they’d treat their customers better.”

“My husband and I have ordered with Uber eats for sometime now but almost every time we order either we are missing an item ! , the order is wrong , or it’s delivered to the wrong house so what started out to be helpful and convenient for families in fact is costly and is never correct plus on top of having to get credits or refunds the driver still gets the tip for delivering incorrect food or delivering it another house it’s crazy ! It’s cheaper and just easier to go get your items or food yourself .”

“I placed an order yesterday through Uber Eats South Africa. First time using them always use Mr D. My order number #2A56D. Food was never delivered. I called there offices and left a complaint via the app. Got a response today, no refund applicable. Driver said he called me. I called the security at my gate and they said driver didn't know who to ask for. Check my app order for details. I left everything there. This is unacceptable. I will never ever use them again!!!!”

“I would give a zero if this were an option. So, I ordered food for my husband and I a few days ago and forgot to order something. I couldn't figure out how to add an item on, so I cancelled the order within 5 minutes planning on reordering with all the correct items. Uber eats charged me for the canceled order of $40 so I called customer service and they hung up on me. I plan on disputing this with it bank, but will never order from them again. They just cost themselves a lifetime customer.”

“Rather than adjust the price they just double charge your card and you have to wait a week for this “hold” to release your funds. Freaking ridiculous! Out 300$! Till then.”

“Just know this about Ubereats before you sign up: Ordered from two different restaurants with two different drivers and both lunches were delivered somewhere with pictures of two random places other than my door! Couldn't reach drivers. Customer service by CHAT was annoyingly long but got a refund for the first missing lunch. When the second lunch didn't come the customer service CHAT guy responded that because the driver claimed he delivered it I wasn't entitled to a refund. I reminded them to check their computer for the previous failed order for which i had been issued a full refund. The ended up imediately offering an "Ubereats full exchange" which I accepted. During these multiple CHATS I had requested to speak with a supervisor many times which was ignored or redirected. Finally I was told a supervisor would call me and they ended the chat. I then found a phone number for Ubereats (which they do not make available to the public at all on their website) and customer service was incredible slow and rude and had very heard to understand accents. I was cut off or hung up on LITERALLY seven times! So basically I now have even more complaints for a Superviser who is "supposed to be calling me within 24 to 48 hrs" ... we'll see. And I had bought the Ubereats membership only days before all this! ....CANCELLED!”

“Dont be uber eat driver,they are stealing your tips,i completed my delivery but they didnt pay my tips(3 times) When you call them or chat with them they just constantly redirects to another department never ending .... Never solve the problem....”

“I ordered from the house chicken 55. Eliminate on 55th and hall step through Uber Eats. And I feel like they brought me a bag of s*** Several items was missing what I paid for I didn't get. Then when I went on the Uber app try. To fix it, they gave me $5 back but it's okay.I'm done ordering it Uber Eats if I don't go pick up the food myself.I don't want it too much money to the restaurant and over to get a bag you unhappy with”

“I wish i could give 0 stars. We ordered our meal tonight.(£35!) It arrived stone cold then to add insult to injury they snatched another £35 from our account. So we were £70 out of pocket and cold food we can’t eat! They’ve since refunded us £28 (why?!) but still waiting for the other £35…… Watch This Space!!!!!”

“Don't use this app. They charge you even if the delivery never arrived. I order almost 52 worth of a product they say they deliver it but I was waiting out side at the door and never arrived. You can't call them. I left a message on their app they answered a day after say they can't do anything about it. This company it's nothing but a scum this happened to me multiple time I don't know why I used them again”

“Uber Eats is a scam, aside from charging you an arm and a leg in taxes and fees they up the price of food on their app. I recently called Uber eats and was told the price you see is the price you pay.. well I won’t be paying you a damn dime. Aside from that bs you never get discounts either anyone using Uber eats should just switch to DoorDash at least they have the right pricing for the merchandise sold. Screw Uber eats y’all suck”

“I suggest Doordash because ubereats takes people money like 4 times in a row its been terrible ice cream from dairy queen ice cream was all at the bottom of the bag so much it ripped a hole in the bottom I report I wanted a refund send pictures and everything oh we can't give you a refund then order McDonald's family meal missing 10 piece nugget and no fries at all oh its none refundable order taco bell my slushy drink like half full I'm done with them completely Goodluck”

“I would give it zero stars if possible. Uber Eats will charge you for the price of an order, even if you cancel the order 5 seconds after placing it, which is what happened to me. I placed an order from my house but immediately after placing it, I realized that the app had my job location as my delivery address so I canceled the order. Uber Eats app falsely claimed that the restaurant had already begun the order, which was impossible, so I was charged for the cancelation.”
