Hi my colleague contacted you on the 27th of September 2021, informing you we could not obtain the current issue and the sub would naturally begin with the next available issue. This will be the Dec 21 issue, which is due roughly the 29.10.2021. If you do not want to wait for this issue, please let me know and I can get your sub cancelled and a refund applied 'ellie.purvis@uniquemagazines.co.uk'. Hi, I am so sorry to hear this and upon checking, we have not had an issue of this in some time. I know during Covid, a lot of publisher's placed their magazines on hold or suspended them, untill life resumed. Some also stopped providing to wholesalers. I have sent an enquiry to suppliers, to see if they know why we have not had an issue in a while and when we may be due one! Magazine ordered a month ago for my daughter, she has not to date received anything. There is nothing to review - disappointed!

Hi, Thanks for the review and sorry to hear this. So we had limited supply of issue 07 on this occasion meaning any new subs placed after the 9th of September, would naturally kick in with issue 08. We included this info on our site, so customers can clearly see the information when placing their sub. Please see this copied from site below; https://www.uniquemagazines.co.uk/Daphnes-Diary-Magazine-Subscription-p355211 'Please note issue 07 2021 is already sold out and all new subscriptions purchased after 9th September 2021 will begin with issue 08 which is due in November. Please call us if you have any questions'. (taken from our site description). Since you placed this on the 20th of September, it is due to begin with issue 08 which is due roughly the 16th of November 2021. Really hope this is ok and we apologise for the wait on this occasion. From here, they are released around every 6 weeks and so they will be regular from the first edition. Hope this is ok and thanks for the review. Thanks, Ellie :)

Hi James sorry to hear this. I spoke with you this morning via email where you explained you had accidently ordered the next issue No 93, which is due the 4th of November 2021. This will go 1st class on this date for you, taking no more than 6 working days to arrive! We can then discuss a subscription, as I know you were interested in taking one out possibly. In regards to our pricing, this is worked out using the cover price of the magazine, the weight to determine postage prices, the packaging and compensations. We also pay to get this from a supplier and the costs must be measured, to make all ends meet! I am glad we sorted this earlier and if you need anything else feel free to let me know. Thanks- Ellie😁

Hi Lynn, This is a publisher order and so they can take a maximum of 4-6 weeks to begin, which is stated on our policy. I have called publisher's and they have informed me your sub is due to begin with the December 2021 issue, which has the on sale date of the 29th of October 2021! Hi, Sorry to hear this. We dispatched your single issue via air mail on the 24th of September 2021. With magazine deliveries to France via air mail, please allow the maximum of 30 days for them to arrive. This takes us to roughly the 24th of October 2021. Please do allow this maximum and if it does not arrive, let me know straight away. My personal email is; ellie.purvis@uniquemagazines.co.uk. We can then get an issue resent or another one sent in replacement. We could also offer a credit or refund if you would prefer! Hope this makes sense and apologies for any inconvenience. A COMPLETE SHAMBLES... Of my last ten orders two have arrived damaged. With six of them payment has been blocked by something called SagePay. Sadly Unique Magazines are indeed unique but for all the wrong reasons. On a positive note the company do have a big selection of magazines but Newsstand are so much better.

Hi Paul, thank you for your review. I apologise that you have had so much trouble with setting up orders then some being received damaged. Our payment system is SagePay and unfortunately it is out of control whether the payments go through on here - there can be a number of reasons why SagePay rejected your card - our apologies. Regarding the damaged editions - our distribution team is aware and we are currently looking at better packaging materials and methods. We also apologise for the inconvenience caused due to this. I normally order direct from lovattes for my crossword books and their postage is free so I won't be ordering from you again as you are £10 dearer

Hi, Thanks for the feedback! This may be cheaper through Lovatts direct, as they are publishers and actually create the magazine and send it from their printers. We must pay to get this from a supplier, work out the price based on average cover price of the magazine, weight, packaging and postage. We will also compensate wherever possible and ensure you get all issues paid for! You may find this often, that it is cheaper through publisher's but unfortunately, this will almost always be the case. Apologies for any inconvenience! Kind Regards, Ellie😊!

Since Brexit I have had to pay consumes that delays delivery by days or weeks. Why could I not deal with a company based in Germany for a German magazine printed in Germany? Please transfer me to a company based in Germany to pay a subscription... Ivan Szelenyi

Hi Ivan, hope you are well. We send these via air mail and we could not get them to you any quicker unfortunately! I spoke with you yesterday and explained the situation regarding the vat and handling fees due to Brexit, which is now resolved! You may be able to purchase this in Germany, we are not publisher's so I have no knowledge as to any companies you may be able to order this through over there. We can however, cancel your order and refund you your money, so you can purchase this elsewhere. I will drop you a personal email to resolve this and apologies for any inconvenience. Hi, Really sorry to hear this. We send these magazines 1st class on a Tuesday, a day before the official on sale date of the magazine. These should be with you by the Saturday if the post are doing their bit and we could not send them any quicker. We have had a few emails from the Royal mail regarding the current situation within the post, informing us there are a shortage of staff, due to the new isolation laws regarding Covid-19. They are working super hard but unfortunately, these delays are unavoidable at times. ​I have extended your sub by one issue to compensate and I do hope this is ok. Absolute waste of money subscribing to this company. Unreliable, it took weeks at the start of subscription before the magazine arrived, now it is hit and miss when it does/if it does arrive. If I could give a zero rating I would.

Hi, Really sorry to hear this. We began the subscription on the 6th of July 2021 with issue no 27. This was the next available issue we had from when you ordered. We have sent every issue that comes in from this one and the one edition recently missed, was issue 32. We contacted all customers regarding this, as the box of magazines were damaged within transit and unusable. When we tried to obtain extra stock, we were unable to do so with it being a weekly so my apologies. I understand this one missing edition, may came as an inconvenience. If you would like a credit or a refund, please do inform me and I can get this sorted. I have dropped you a personal email to see if there is anything I can do further, to help you. I ordered and paid the latest issue of Sudoku Grand Masters on July 11th. On July 12th you told me in an email that "The FINAL issue has been dispatched..." But still today a month later it has not arrived to me. Instead, you sent me another email on Aug 2nd telling exactly the same thing "The FINAL issue has been dispatched..." When did you actually post it, before mid-July or as late as early August? When shall I have it in my hands? How can a simple mail delivery inside Europe take several weeks time? - Rgds, Risto

Hi, Hope you are well? I am so sorry to hear this and we apologise for any inconvenience. Due to new regulations regarding the Vat charges implemented from the 1st of July, there has been some changes in the mailing system. So originally, the issue would have went on the 12th of July 2021 however if we sent the issue on this date , you would have been charged vat or handling fees. We decided to hold these back, untill we recieved something called an IOSS number, to apply to labels to stop you or any other European customers for single issues, getting charged this additional VAT implemented. We were waiting this number for some time and it means from now on, any active subs or single issues will not be charged anything additional. We officially sent this issue on the 2nd of August 2021 via priority air mail and we ask if you can allow the MAXIMUM of 30 days for delivery. You will not be charged for this issue, as we kept this in order to ensure you did not. Hope this is ok and thanks for your understanding. Kind Regards, Ellie :)

Hi, I am really sorry to hear this. I can confirm this magazine is quarterly and you ordered early July. This will be why an issue has not yet been recieved, as they only release 4 issues per year. I have checked in with suppliers for you, to find out when we will be due the next edition and I will get back to your via email, no later than this time tomorrow. In this case, the fulfilment is arranged through them direct, hence why this may have not begun yet. I have checked in with publisher's and this is due to begin with the September issue, which should arrive no later than the 16th of August 2021.
