I had a terrible experience. I'm busy Hollywood writer / producer who lives in San Francisco. I come to LA every two weeks for work. Usually I have back-to-back meetings, and so when I found out about Vertoe I was very excited. I was especially excited to find the Hollywood location very close to my studio co. As it was my last day in town, I wanted to drop off my suitcase to vertoe. Making a booking was super easy and the online system worked really well. I booked it a day before and ended up add a strange location in front of a place called podshare. I arrived a few minutes before the 10 a.m. that it was my check in time. Unfortunately, it was located in an alley and at that time it was blindingly hot with no shade. I stood outside the door and wanted to at least go in so I could get out of the Sun or at least find out how long I had to wait. I didn't want to miss it if they open the door. There was no way to knock on the as it was made of steel and reinforced glass. And, there was no Bell. Finally, I called the company and they told me somebody would be there at 10. Somebody open the door and went inside at 10 I called out to them they ignored me. But they left the first door open. Then I tried to knock on the second door which was made on glass. But again no one heard my knock so I knocked a little bit louder. By now now it was 10:05. I've been waiting there for at least 20 minutes. And then hearing the knock finally the door was open. I felt so much relief... But much to my shock, somebody yanked the door open and started yelling at me. I was shocked and took a step back and try to explain myself. She yelled about why I was banging on the door. I tried to explain several times that I wasn't banging on the door but that there was no bail, and nor was there a way to enter. And that I really had to run to a meeting, that was happening at 10:30 and I couldn't miss the meeting. Instead of letting me explain, she started to mock me and was consistently rude to me. And then she said the manager will be here soon. The manager walked in while this girl continued to berate me. No matter what I did to try to explain myself she kept telling everyone in that weird place which was full of people by the way IDK what it was dot-dot-dot that I was in the wrong. I have never been so humiliated and treated so unprofessionally at a place of business in my life before. I tried to explain to the manager how I was treated, and instead of apologizing for the way I was treating, she double down and had a sneer on her face throughout the time she was serving me. Although she was not rude to me, she did not believe me and was constantly also berating me for being too early. The worst of it was, that No one was listening to me. I couldn't believe it. I will never ever use the Vertoe service again. Thankfully it was my first and last time. When I went to pick it up, I had a flight to catch and there was a girl sweeping the floor and I asked her several times could you please get my suitcase, she continued to sweep and ignored me until she was done and then she went and got it. That part was okay but oh my God what a non-professional place. If you guys as an app cannot afford to work with people who are professional, then you should not be in the business in the first place. There's no excuse for what happened to me. And when I call later on in the evening to make sure that the door would be open in the evening before I went to pick up my suitcase, I explain what happened, and to their credit I did get a polite apology from the person I was talking to on the phone. however there was no follow-up... hate to leave negative reviews but this was a doozy. And it really did ruin my mood for my next meeting. I run baked TV shows and Productions and work with hundreds of people. But I've never been treated this way. For shame.

This is a SCAM!!!!! i walked 10 city blocks only to discover that the location of the lockers is a Subway restaurant. I will be calling my credit card to alert them to your fraudulent activity

HI Lissette, I'm sorry you felt misinformed about our service. Our model is not locker based. Instead we partner with independent business owners who have extra storage space at their establishments. The restaurant you mentioned is one of these locations. Thank you, -Emily

It could be better if Vertoe verify these spaces. At Sunrise Market we let our luggages in a very bad smelling place, it is a deposit of the market, very dark, dirty, we saw mice as soon as somebody opened the door and also dead rats next to the door. Although the market was empty, we stayed waiting 15 minutes until some of the guys there disturbed to come at the deposit and gave us back our luggages. Extremely rude personal!

I was unable to check my bag because a photo of the ID tag was required, and I don't have a smartphone. The store owner refused to give me a refund, and was thoughtless. If more than $6 were at stake I would have filed a complaint the NY consumer protection. As I told several NY friends I thought that sort of "Who cares about you?" attitude went out with the 1970s.

I booked a locker online days in advance, and paid in full. When I got to the store, at the time I had booked for, they told me they had already rented out all lockers, and that even though I had booked and paid in advance, I was out of luck and there was nothing they could do. Complete scam.

Would never use this service again! The service sent me to a storage site called Venice Convenience (was misspelled on the window). The guy at the store checked me in but had no list of incoming clients so he wrote my confirmation number on a post-it and told me to leave the bag on the floor in front of the counter. He did not move to tag it with the Vertoe id strap at all. I took the bag and put it behind the counter, and left, feeling very anxious. When I came back he passed me the bag which was sitting on the top of a refrigerated case with no tag. There were other bags up there as well as untagged roller bags in the rows of the store. My bag and contents were ok but in no way did I get the peace of mind I was looking for in this service.

I booked a luggage store at the Dead Layers Pub in Chicago. When I saw the dirty, untidy basement room where I was supposed to store my luggage, I was shocked. Also, the room was unlocked and right next to the toilets so everyone could go in and help themselves. I was very angry and took my luggage with me and looked for another trustworthy place. The anger and this USD 13.90 I could have saved.

Extremely disappointed in your service. Website said 5.5 miles from Grand Ole Opry and when we booked found out is was 12 miles away. When we got Caesar's pizza to store my 2 bags there was no room in the secure closet. Very nice to book but consider when a place is overbooked. We had no choice but to leave our luggage in an unsupervised area that anyone could have walked away with. I would like a full refund for the 2 bags i paid for. Very disappointed and stressful time.

Very upsetting! We had to leave our bags in the hallway of The pizza restaurant unlocked. We should have been warned!! This was not honest! I would like a refund as I was completely misled!

I was extremely disappointed in your service. The bag storage in Nashville was double the distance than what you put on your site. When we arrived at Caesar’s pizzeria there was no available locked space for storage and we had to leave our bags in an open an hallway of the restaurant where customers walk through. We had no other options for storage but did not feel that our bags were secure. We booked and paid for a secure locked storage spot in advance and did not receive that service. I would like to get a refund for my reservation. I would not recommend your company to anybody.

My first experience of Vertoe was very disappointing, entrusting my valuable possessions to a small convenience store stock room was both frightening and the staff very unhelpful despite obviously signing up to be a vertoe provider, this is not a service I will be using again.

The site does not work properly I was in San Francisco they scheduled my bags to be stored somewhere in Colorado, moreover did not return my money back!!! You can not trust this site.

Hello, I'm sorry for your experience using the website. We believe the search for the landmark you were looking for also has a similarly named location in Denver. We are working on optimizing searches on our website, so special cases like this don't happen again. As for the note about not returning the money, we allow for user to cancel their reservation themselves on our website or app up to 1 hour prior to their dropoff time. I searched for a drop spot near me, the website said there was one 0.2 miles from my location. After paying I was directed to a location 15 minutes away by subway. No chance to cancel. Was charged yet had to carry my luggage all day. Total waste of time and money.

Not a good experience. We booked to leave our bags for two hours (13.00-15.00) in Honolulu. After we made the booking, and paid for it, we went to the drop-off point. The lady there told us that she could only take our bags for one hour because she needed to leave at 14.00. This is despite the website saying the drop-off location was open until 17.00 that day. Terrible service, no apology or explanation. Will not be using again and recommending others avoid Vertoe too due to its unreliability.

The person handling our luggage allowed us to retrieve the pieces without controlling the numbers. We felt that the fact that we got our luggage was simple luggage. I would try to ensure the shop owners actually put the safety mechanisms into practice, because the idea is very good and this type of practices could kill it.

The seller in the store did not know the application and providing the ID number did nothing. He wasn't helpful, quite the opposite. He promised to show the confirmation of the transfer from the bank account.

A very argumentative man at the location where I dropped the bags off was not satisfied with the confirmation text I received from your company. Even the name Vertoe was on it. He wanted to see the email as well. He called me rude and asked where I come from! I worried the entire time I was at the theater that everything would be missing from my bag. Nothing was missing.

I purchased a spot for my luggage from 11am-5pm. The store where I was supposed to drop my luggage didn't open until almost 12pm because the owner didn't feel like opening on time. He never asked to see my confirmation email, nor did he have secure luggage tags to place on my suitcases. In the end, I left the store a little after 12pm and didn't feel too safe leaving my luggage there so I came back at 3pm instead of 5pm. I would never use this service again especially since they weren't even able to reimburse me for the 1 hour waiting outside the store to open.

My experience was terrible, i thought i selected one location on the app and couldn’t tell that it changed selections before I paid. I wasted my money on the wrong location and didn’t use it. Terrible app.
