The company would not correspond with me regarding our booking. They refused to answer any calls or emails and then said that we had cancelled and kept out deposit.i tried to contact them as our granddaughter, who suffers from Turner's syndrome, had to go into hospital and my daughter could not travel as she was in lockdown, so 6 of our party of 12 could not travel. In a very compassionate way they said get stuffed and kept our money without recourse to a voucher. This company is a joke. Read the reviews before you even think about using them.

“Like all the others - loyal prior repeat customer Zero communication, ignored emails, no ability to contact, no options to move/change our summer holiday, lost over £1000 deposit. Covid wasn't their fault, the way they treated us was.

Awful Awful Awful! Shocked and appalled, they have basically stolen our money. We live in tier 3 area amd government advice is not to travel. Our flights were cancelled due to covid but villaplus feel its OK to not offer refund, vouchers or to let us rebook. Wish I had read reviews before booking. Cant even post a review on trust pilot anymore. Unable to get hold of them before departure date and then was told its too late beyond awful scamming company.

I was a package customer - ATOL protected - holiday cancelled beginning of September - FCO guidance and also my return flight no longer operating and no available alternatives. Jet 2 immediately refunded for both flights to VP and I was verbally assured by VP that I would be issued with full refund within 14 days. Nothing happened and despite extensive emails, complaints to ABTA, CMA, Resolver and trading standards, all I had back from VP was the usual generic nonsense ' if you have been promised a refund, then you will get this - we don't know when but thank you for your patience'. Well my patience finally ran out and with no sign of any proposed date for a refund after 8 weeks I went down the section 75 route. Although the full amount was back in my credit card account almost immediately, I had to wait 35 days before claiming this back to my current account as VP could 'dispute' this - although why they would when this money was owed to me ? Well, they did nt dispute and I was finally able to claim the full amount back from my credit card last week. During this time I heard nothing from VP aside from further generic emails. So pleased I just did nt sit and wait it out for VP to pull their finger out. Section 75 definitely the way to go as at least I knew I would eventually get my money back. Having holidayed with VP on a number of previous occasions, the disdain and utter contempt they have displayed towards their customers during this pandemic makes me realise they are not a trustworthy or ethical company. Next years holidays with them are villa only - please read their terms and conditions - they are not covered by ATOL/ABTA and you will get absolutely nothing back from them if your holiday is cancelled.

Booked Villa and flights and like everyone else waiting on a refund from VP. Not answering their phones and send out generic emails claiming that they are busy with the volume of refunds, and yours will be processed in due course! This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced, I thought the customer had protection from ABTA and ATOL, not to mention the Consumers Act! This now proves these bodies have no teeth and VP is exempt from the Consumers Act, in other words the customer has now little protection. Now considering other options including Credit Card refund.

Booked villa and flights with this company phoned in December 2019 and spoke to a member of staff who took our deposits and Was very helpful. contacted by villa plus in March 2020 to pay balance of our holiday to go on September 2020. Which we did as we were advised if we did not pay balance we would lose our holiday. This is when villa plus stopped being very helpful once they received payment. We were contacted two days before we were ment to go on our holiday and had it cancelled and was told we would get a full refund. We are in November and have have not been contacted by villa plus or had any money back. You know how to keep your customers happy or maybe your company policy. I'll let you make your own minds up about this company.

I was due to go on holiday on 21st August. I need not go into detail about all the attempts at trying to speak to VP before the holiday to see if it was going ahead or not. My partner and I had to find out for ourselves whether it was or wasn’t going ahead. NOT ONCE did VP contact me. They haven’t contacted me since either regarding a refund (even though website states I’m due a refund within 14 days of departure date). I’ve now got my money back having gone through my credit car company. I will never again book with this company. I hope everyone owed money by VP are reimbursed. Then I’m sure the company will eventually go bust.

This is honestly the worst company I have ever dealt with. They lie, they think the law does not apply to them and they will do and say anything to wriggle out of refunding customers.

After using them for over 15 years they have shown their true colours during this pandemic. We booked a villa and it came to paying the balance we tried non stop to contact them to change the booking to next year they just turned their phones off and refused to answer emails so we lost a large deposit. Will never use them again.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT TREATING THEIR CUSTOMERS FAIRLY. WE HAVE BEEN OUT OF POCKET AND HAD AN ONGOING DISPUTE WITH THEM FOR MONTHS! Despite emails we have not received our refund within 14 days of departure!! Frustrating and causing lots of stress fighting for our refund!!

Disillusioned by the lack of response and customer service. Totally disappointed in the lack of customer service from villa plus - multiple calls just ringing out after 20 minutes and no response to email apart from the standard bounce back. I have also written to Villa Plus and sent it by Special Delivery Postage, i do know that they have received it as it has been signed for. After many many great holidays spanning well over a decade and probably bordering on two decades plus the excellent previous good customer service it is really distressful to be left with such a uncooperative and negative experience. We were due to fly on the 2nd October to Menorca and had paid in full on the 1st January 2020 in good faith. To date i have not heard anything besides one phone call 2 days before the planned departure date stating that i will be refunded within 14 days, other than that nothing regarding a refund.

We booked a holiday for 4 to Cyprus on the 23rd of September for a week before the Coronavirus pandemic with Villaplus. We had expected the holiday to be cancelled under the current circumstances however, received an email stating otherwise. This email gave us an ultimatum, pay the outstanding balance in 48 hours or our holiday would be cancelled and we would loose our deposit. We had already been trying to email and phone Villaplus in regards to this holiday with no response in email and to find a recorded message when phoning which said the phone lines had been closed. I feel we were pushed into loosing our deposit as it was impossible to speak to someone at the company especially within the tight 48 hour deadline provided. Our deposit was already high and we were not in a position to lose even more money to the company by paying the remaining balance. In this tight window we tried to find out more ourselves about the tests required to go and seen you need to be showing symptoms to get tested by the NHS. We seen that you can get tested privately but at a cost of £100 upwards per person and the websites confirm the 72 hour turnaround required for holiday makers is not guaranteed so again this could have resulted in our party just loosing even more money. One member of the group has been shielding throughout the pandemic and another is pregnant and therefore travelling unnecessarily for both is a huge health risk. We have tried to explain this to Villa plus who have sent back a standard email not even acknowledging our points and basically telling us to go through our insurance. The way this pandemic has been handled by the company is appalling, they have no regard for the safety of their customers and clearly are only interested in scamming them out of their deposits or as much money as possible. Closing phone lines and ignoring customer emails until after the deposit has been lost shows this is a clear tactic being used by Villa plus to make as much money as they can from customers during these desperate times. We would have been more than happy to have even been offered a credit note for the deposit to use at a later date once things have calmed down but were given no such choice. Instead we have been bullied into a situation where their terms and conditions mean they can pocket our money. I have reported Villaplus to the Govt's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) as behaving unfairly during this pandemic and would encourage others in a similar position to do the same.

Don't use this company - you will almost certainly lose your money or, if you're lucky, get a holiday you didn't book. They cancelled my holiday and never provided the travel documents. They don't respond to emails and now have issued a worthless, non guaranteed voucher as "goodwill" stating I cancelled it because I couldn't quarantine. That's completely untrue - I work from home and could easily have done so. There are hundreds of tales of cancelled holidays and no refunds, villas that weren't available but still charged for. I can't see Villa Plus being in business much longer with how they've treated customers including ones which have been loyal for years

Shameful and deceitful company. They have used this pandemic to fleece their customers. Firstly they close down all lines of communication - phone/emails so no one can contact them to discuss holiday arrangements. Then they demand monies for villas they no longer have and package holidays when flights have been cancelled, if you dont pay up, they keep your deposit. So people pay up thinking that they will get refunded the whole amount if the holiday is cancelled but guess what, if you are villa only you will get a worthless voucher and if you are package you will have to wait 3 or 4 months (or longer) for a refund and then you have to chase them via trust pilot (their only means of communication) and threaten them with legal action. What an absolute bunch of thieves, such a corrupt business. AVOID.
