Disillusioned by the lack of response and customer service. Totally disappointed in the lack of customer service from villa plus - multiple calls just ringing out after 20 minutes and no response to email apart from the standard bounce back. I have also written to Villa Plus and sent it by Special Delivery Postage, i do know that they have received it as it has been signed for. After many many great holidays spanning well over a decade and probably bordering on two decades plus the excellent previous good customer service it is really distressful to be left with such a uncooperative and negative experience. We were due to fly on the 2nd October to Menorca and had paid in full on the 1st January 2020 in good faith. To date i have not heard anything besides one phone call 2 days before the planned departure date stating that i will be refunded within 14 days, other than that nothing regarding a refund.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT TREATING THEIR CUSTOMERS FAIRLY. WE HAVE BEEN OUT OF POCKET AND HAD AN ONGOING DISPUTE WITH THEM FOR MONTHS! We booked a holiday for 4 to Cyprus on the 23rd of September for a week before the Coronavirus pandemic with Villaplus. We had expected the holiday to be cancelled under the current circumstances however, received an email stating otherwise. This email gave us an ultimatum, pay the outstanding balance in 48 hours or our holiday would be cancelled and we would loose our deposit. We had already been trying to email and phone Villaplus in regards to this holiday with no response in email and to find a recorded message when phoning which said the phone lines had been closed. I feel we were pushed into loosing our deposit as it was impossible to speak to someone at the company especially within the tight 48 hour deadline provided. Our deposit was already high and we were not in a position to lose even more money to the company by paying the remaining balance. In this tight window we tried to find out more ourselves about the tests required to go and seen you need to be showing symptoms to get tested by the NHS. We seen that you can get tested privately but at a cost of £100 upwards per person and the websites confirm the 72 hour turnaround required for holiday makers is not guaranteed so again this could have resulted in our party just loosing even more money. One member of the group has been shielding throughout the pandemic and another is pregnant and therefore travelling unnecessarily for both is a huge health risk. We have tried to explain this to Villa plus who have sent back a standard email not even acknowledging our points and basically telling us to go through our insurance. The way this pandemic has been handled by the company is appalling, they have no regard for the safety of their customers and clearly are only interested in scamming them out of their deposits or as much money as possible. Closing phone lines and ignoring customer emails until after the deposit has been lost shows this is a clear tactic being used by Villa plus to make as much money as they can from customers during these desperate times. We would have been more than happy to have even been offered a credit note for the deposit to use at a later date once things have calmed down but were given no such choice. Instead we have been bullied into a situation where their terms and conditions mean they can pocket our money. I have reported Villaplus to the Govt's Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) as behaving unfairly during this pandemic and would encourage others in a similar position to do the same.

Don't use this company - you will almost certainly lose your money or, if you're lucky, get a holiday you didn't book. They cancelled my holiday and never provided the travel documents. They don't respond to emails and now have issued a worthless, non guaranteed voucher as "goodwill" stating I cancelled it because I couldn't quarantine. That's completely untrue - I work from home and could easily have done so. There are hundreds of tales of cancelled holidays and no refunds, villas that weren't available but still charged for. I can't see Villa Plus being in business much longer with how they've treated customers including ones which have been loyal for years

Like all the others - loyal prior repeat customer Zero communication, ignored emails, no ability to contact, no options to move/change our summer holiday, lost over £1000 deposit. Covid wasn't their fault, the way they treated us was. Never, EVER again.

Shameful and deceitful company. They have used this pandemic to fleece their customers. Firstly they close down all lines of communication - phone/emails so no one can contact them to discuss holiday arrangements. Then they demand monies for villas they no longer have and package holidays when flights have been cancelled, if you dont pay up, they keep your deposit. So people pay up thinking that they will get refunded the whole amount if the holiday is cancelled but guess what, if you are villa only you will get a worthless voucher and if you are package you will have to wait 3 or 4 months (or longer) for a refund and then you have to chase them via trust pilot (their only means of communication) and threaten them with legal action. What an absolute bunch of thieves, such a corrupt business. AVOID.

I would give Zero !... theft of deposit, cancellation no discussion,no communication (everything is automated) cant speak or get hold of anyone at villa plus...utterly useless & disgraceful customer service. I will be contacting citizens advice; trading standards & which and Then going through ombudsman & small claim court ... I am not going to allow them to rip me off in this way ...it is illegal ...we have had an atol protected package holiday that has not protected us at all. Don’t accept it folks ... keep the focus on these con merchants we have to show them it’s not acceptable.... they will be out of business v soon based on the reviews ...and frankly they deserve it based on how disgracefully they have treated the customers....appalled...shame on you Villa Plus 😢

Do not book your hard earned holiday with this company, they are no more than thieves, I cancelled our booking due to covid, so they cancelled my holiday at 60% and still haven't paid me or even contacted me with regards to my refund, they only want your money and have no concern for their customers is a disgrace.

******* BE CAREFUL ******* Never had this kind of experience before! WILL NEVR BOOK WITH VILLA PLUS AGAIN! YOU should be ashamed. What kind of business are you trying to run here when you take peoples money without asking! Do not give any details to this company as they will take your money and not return it then promise to refund but 4 months later still no refund and they have turned off the phones. Then saying they r proud they didnt furlough anyone! well where are your staff bcos they aren't answering phones thats for sure!

Nothing but thieves! Uneducated in their responses by email to me and just no help what so ever despite me being a key worker during all of this! So hurt and upset and all I wanted was time. Never book with you again and will tell everyone the same! They change your villa last minute without contacting you and telling you and then I find the same villa for my weeks being sold online! Villa Owners have had enough of this and by the looks of all the comments so have all your other customers! Disgrace

Please don’t give this company your deposit. Like many of their customers we are still waiting for a refund 9 weeks after they cancelled out holiday. Read as many reviews as you can find ,ignoring the blatant plants. They are impossible to contact and if you still feel like booking just try ringing them . Then go elsewhere. We had four holidays booked this year. 2 with villa plus one with tui one with riviera. Riviera superb, tui slow but paid us back. Villa plus are appalling and no refund

4 weeks ago by mutual agreement our holiday to Portugal was cancelled as the original villa we booked wasn’t available and the alternative offered wasn’t suitable! Promised a refund within 7 days! Then told would be 2 weeks after original departure date! Now 3 weeks since departure and still no refund!! Email goes ignored phone lines don’t get answered if you date post a negative review on trustpilot they report you!!!

Disappointing, week before we were booked, refunds were issued 2 weeks after booked dates but for our 2 weeks in early August, only credit notes offered against exactly the same style booking valid for 3 years, in this environment who wants their money tied up like this through no fault of their own. Poor customer Service (No reply on emails, phones closed), for the 'Largest Villa Company in the UK' to not offer all customers the same reimbursement is extremely poor.

DO NOT BOOK WITH VILLA PLUS!!! Discracefull how they have acted through covid. Deliberately uncontactable, closed phone lines and not answered emails. Then we were told we breached our contract. After taking legal action Villa Plus backed down and returned our deposit in full. We have used Villa Plus for years now but will NEVER again!! Hopefully they will not survive this as a company by how they have treated their customers.

Was badly let down with Villa plus.Three days before we were due to fly they informed us the villa owner had friends staying so the villa we booked in May 2019 for 13 family members flights and car hire booked. They then told me 24 hours before we were due to fly that they had no suitable villa available. Total disgrace, total lack of empathy would never use villa plus again after the heart ache they have caused. This had nothing to do with covid 19. The airbridge was in place and the flights were on.

After continually trying to phone, email and then recorded delivery letter, asking to defer our August package to next year due to vulnerable members of our group, nothing. We had paid monies in full and found out that others who booked through a third party, Miles Morgan with VP, were able to defer to 2021. We’ll never use VP again.

Please don’t book with this company. We paid a deposit for holiday to portugal in January. We received an email last Friday saying we had to pay our balance or we would incur fees so we paid as the letter stated we are able to go on holiday. We never received our documents so I checked easy jet and our flight was cancelled. It took 3 calls and a whole day on the phone with promises that someone would call me back to be told if you pay £2,000 more we can get you on another flight from Stanstead with Ryan Air. We now have no holiday which we was due to go in 3 days. Don’t use this company they will just take your money

Awful company. After I phoned them back in March they said specifically my money was safe. I asked for this in writing so they sent me personal emails saying very clearly I would get my money back as a refund, not some pathetic voucher with a million pathetic rules attached to it, should the FCO advise against travel. I allowed them to keep my money based on these emails. And now they have moved the goalposts with no warning. No chance for me to alter my position and just lose my deposit. Truly pathetic. My family have used villaplus atleast 30 times between us. Sort my refund out and stop this dragging on as I won’t accept this.

Be very careful when thinking about using Villa Plus. I paid £2,365.02 deposit against a package to Portugal thinking that being covered by ABTA/ATOL our deposit was secured. Because the UK government said not to travel before the balance was due it was not paid. EasyJet stopped flying so this should have been covered by ATOL. Villa Plus hasn’t even replied to a letter sent by registered post. Saga insurance have also been useless. I have now had to put this in the hands of a company specialising in obtaining refunds.

due to depart 22/8/20, its now 20/8/20 no travel documents sent. We havnt cancelled but we know we cant go as flights cancelled by airline due to restrictions. Villaplus state we may get holiday voucher as act of goodwill as or villa is available so no refund due- only thing villaplus is that we know our villa was sold on booking.com same dates as we paid for so IT IS NOT AVAILABLE and we want our money back
