The same as message below. Disgusting demanding to pay final balance within 24 hrs due to text had yesterday which stated sent email. No email received and have tried emailing constantly and telephones not operational. Had even tried to reply to text but this is blocked as well. How on earth are you able to speak to a human being regarding your booking. Will never book with them again and urge others not to do so either.

I would give no stars if I could. Demanding payment of our holiday to Portugal by 5pm tonight after receiving a voicemail last night and no email. Closing their phone lines no means of communication. I wonder if they are going into administration.

They don’t return calls (pre shut down) then phones all off, emails only, they don’t reply to emails, then they have the cheek to ask you to pay for a holiday that you can’t go on. They keep your deposit when clearly they should just cancel the holiday. They are an absolute joke and I would avoid using them at all costs.

Unethical practices in relation to villa only bookings. Eventually did a u-turn after Which? and the CMA became involved, but beware, they have used some very underhand tactics with many customers including myself.

Exactly the same as the last reviewer below, Odette. We are due to have paid our final balance for a holiday in the future. We have not paid as we have asked several questions with regards to where we stood if the quarantine was still in place etc when we were due to go. We requested a further extension for our balance and clarification as to whether or not a UK quarantine being in place would be reason enough for them to give us a full refund if we were to go ahead and pay the full balance, i have had no response. I have sent in total since the beginning 10 emails, one of which was replied which was the first one I sent back in April, since then, nothing. I too have now since found my villa available for the dates we were meant to be going! Unreal! Especially as written within the first and only response I had from them in April they requested if I wasn't going to go ahead with my booking please could I let them know ASAP in order for them to send me a notification of cancellation! It would seem they have cancelled my booking anyway, so, so disappointed. Managed to have £900 out of me and potentially will receive that again if someone else books the same place. Outrageous.

Beware, we have tried to contact villa plus since May, various e mails asking them to discuss options re paying final balance travel re Covid, no replies. Today noticed on their website our villa is back up for rental on the dates we had booked the holiday! They have kept our deposit and re let our villa put as we had not paid balance without consulting us. I have reported thrm yo ABTA atop CMA and which? I tried to ring a pretend I wanted to go ok the villa 😁 but they still not answering any

Terrible customer service from Villaplus - due to fly in a package holiday with them this Friday and heard nothing - do we go to the airport don’t we - it’s shocking! Our first time booking with them and understandably the pandemic is unavoidable but the terrible communication and customer service isn’t! We are left with radio silence not knowing what to do on Friday!

The list of complaints against VP is endless just look at their FB page, as my review on Trustpilot has been removed (yes they are removing negative reviews) I will post on here hopefully people will see and realise that VP are not much more than a bunch of criminals who constantly change their T&Cs. I Will never use VP again finally after weeks of pressure and Which? magazine writing an article about them they have finally agreed to refund Villa only bookings up to the 28th June. They have constantly changed their minds regarding refunds, balance extensions etc. I would recommend that anyone with a balance to pay pushes really hard for an extension and also before paying any balance ask what the Covid arrangements are. The Mallorcan Tourist Board confirmed that when villas are available to customers the pool will be out of use. Anyone travelling with VP in the future should check Covid precautions that are beginning taken and also what the local restrictions are. The way that this company has treated people has ensured that I will never use them again. Although whether they will be operating in 2021 is debatable as they haven't paid villa owners for over 3 months as confirmed by villa owners on their FB page

Due to travel to Majorca for a villa only holiday on the 16 th of may at which time villa plus own web advice page was saying if travelling within 3 days I was due a refund this message remained until the 21st of May 2 days before I was due home Villa plus are now saying I’m not due a refund and to claim on my insurance (shameful) So many customers upset so many people will never use them again WHY DONT THEY CARE do they know something we don’t ??

Same as everyone else, Villaplus will not refund on Villa only bookings cancelled through corona virus. Will never use thus company again they are keeping my money, this company should be investigated

Shocking! Beware of this company they are basically refusing refunds for customers who have booked villas with them. Their stance 'you can't travel ...not our problem'. They are laughing all the way to the bank....for the time being anyway.

booked 2 villas this year trying to be organised and spread the cost which has clearly back fired on us. Villa plus ignore any communication for the last few weeks email never get a response and phone just hang forever only to be cut off. We had no choice but to pay for our June holiday due to fly out Saturday otherwise we would get cancellation fee and lose deposit. Yesterday received email saying villa still available but if we cannot get there I would have to cancel. What planet are they on! B Airways cancelled our flights a few weeks ago and refunded us almost immediately credit to them. So not sure why Villa Plus would think I could get to the villa. So trying to claim from insurance because this company are despicable and refusing to refund because I did not book everything through them, just the villa! Insurance company will need proof of payment and cancellation and villa plus very clever making me cancel and not them. I put the request to cancel through, as yet no surprise, I have not received the cancellation invoice. So not sure how long I am supposed to wait for this. This better be confirmation of the total invoice I paid and no cancellation fee, but I would put nothing past them, I really do not trust this company. I am due to go away with them in September, so they will be quick enough to contact me for the balance, again what happens, you dont pay it you get a cancellation charge, you pay it you have to fight for money back. There is nothing right about the way this company is treating people. As if myself and others are not going through enough financially etc right now this company feel its acceptable to take peoples well earned money and not repay when the trip cannot go ahead, This should be illegal the government should be stepping in. Shocking treatment, to me its theft! I feel so sorry for you all that are being treated so badly by this company like I am. Wish you all luck in getting your money back

In the same boat as many many others. Now due to pay the final balance on our Corfu holiday in September. We were given 2 choices, cancel and lose your deposit or pay up the balance and hope to get your money back if the holiday does not go ahead. No option to change the booking or use the deposit against a future holiday. No response whatsoever to my emails. Absolutely appalling customer service. I have lodged a complaint with the CMA which I suggest everyone else does. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! (assuming they stay in business).

We booked and fully paid for a villa-only in Spain for a week in May through Villa Plus , however received no information, despite them having our details, from them regarding the situation re the current global pandemic and how it would impact on our holiday , despite numerous emails and phone calls. Neither did we receive any address details or key access details as promised in their terms and conditions, prior to the commencement date . They are now refusing customer refunds on the basis that it wasn’t their problem that international tourists are banned from entering Spain , and UK residents are unable to travel . Refusing to engage in any correspondence. Having taken legal advice and that of CMA ,we know they are acting illegally, and will pursue the debt owed to us .AVOID THIS UNSCRUPULOUS UNETHICAL COMPANY- there are plenty of other decent operators out there who will not misappropriate your hard earned cash . Shame on you Villa Plus , shame .

We have booked with Villa over the last 4 years and always found the company extremely helpful. Unfortunately our holiday in May was cancelled I looked on the Villa Plus website and it said we were unable to contact them due to the volume of people contacting, it stated that 10 days after the departure date a refund would be given, true to word we received a full refund without any hassle and stress. Thank you Villa Plus we would definitely book with you again.

Like so many others, we booked a villa only holiday for May half term. We would have been back for 6 days now and still not had ANY contact from them. They keep changing their Ts&Cs but it looks unlikely they will give us a refund, which according to the CMA we are entitled to. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY!!!

Same as Tracy below. Booked package. Couldn’t contact me enough when taking my money but cannot get hold of anyone. I’ve written a dozen emails and had a couple of generic responses. I’ve paid a deposit (£1600) for holiday in August and said that I wanted to talk options before paying balance (£3k) as this is what they promise on their website. It clearly states request a call back which I have - 6 times. I will not now book with them for next year (Wonder if they are going bust???) and will complain to ABTA. Good luck everyone.

Due to travel to menorca on 18th May. Contacted VP that day to be told refund would be processed within 10 days only to then receive an email saying no refund. I find it disgusting I’ve had no communication at all. Booked with you for the last 5 years but no more. Already booked our next villa holiday with Jet2. We are family who travel with our son who has special needs, we save all year for this holiday, we are absolutely devastated, £2500 out of pocket and VP couldn’t care less!
