About Virgin Experience Days:

Virgin Experience Days was launched in March 2001 under the name of Virgin Experience. Originally offering experiences to corporate clients as a way of incentivising staff and customers, the company rapidly expanded to bring the Virgin values of quality, innovation, value for money and fun to the consumer experience gift market.
The summer of 2003 was a real milestone for Virgin Experience. In our continual quest to bring the best experiences and unrivalled service, we joined forces with Acorne Sports. Founded in 1988, Acorne Sports is the original experience company and it’s their stamp of approval that confirms our pedigree and ability to deliver unforgettable experiences. Acorne ’s unrivalled reputation, knowledge and relationship with all of the featured centres made them the perfect partners for Virgin Experience, a company dedicated to making sure customers have the very best time. By teaming up, we are able to challenge the way every experience is provided and offer once-in-a-lifetime gifts backed up by friendly service staff with first-hand knowledge.

Long waiting time. Unprofessional make-up and stylist. no snacks and refreshments as advertised. Unprofessional photographer. Lots of lies told re waiting time, then told you were being given a discount for the waiting time, but you weren´t as they removed two of the photo´s in the package, and removed the two free photo´s you were supposed to get with the original offer. Struggled to find 10 professional photo´s. I have done these photo shoots twice before and took my daughter as a special birthday treat for both her and myself, so we felt we had to buy some photo´s, but feel it was a waste of day and £250.00. Virgin should not associate with this company, I only used them because it was a Virgin Experience, but it was the worst ever experience. The entire thing was rushed and very un professional. Please remove your name from this and stop other people from having such a bad experience

This wasn't a very organised event. The cars and the drivers were lovely and I enjoyed that part of it. The spectators couldn't see me drive so couldn't really take pictures. There was no refreshments provided so coffee was extra and for that amount of money you would have thought refreshments would have been provided. We had to pay extra for the Saturday because they were booked up and we also had to pay an extra £40 for insurance otherwise there was a £5000 excess. Total rip off!

Virgin Sales rep gave me incorrect information about the duration of a flight I was interested in purchasing for my son. She told me on TWO separate occasions that my son would have 60 mins behind the controls. She even confirmed this in writing by email. My son actually only received 30 mins - exactly half of what they promised BEFORE I paid my money. I raised this with them and they refused to refund or provide another voucher, simply apologising 'for the confusion'. They then blocked me on Twitter. What a joke of a company. Avoid them at all costs. I'm doing a chargeback to get my money back from them. Absolute disgrace with incompetent staff.

Well for a start the 'lovely Virgin experience day' my Daughter purchased for my mothers day present ran out after 5 months, now I admit this was an oversight by myself, as having used another Experience company in the past, who give you at least a year, I amused this was the case with Virgin. I contacted customer service only to be told that not only was my booked experience out of date but also they no longer offered that particular venue and now I was to be charged a further £10 to re-new for a different venue that I didn't really want to go to. I asked for a refund but was refused (14 day refund policy regardless of your circumstances) and was told my Daughter was told about the short time span to use the voucher when she booked - SHE WAS NOT- I politely apologized for overlooking the expiry date and told them it was due to a very turbulent time with 2 family bereavements and the only 'kind gesture' offered was a half price re renewal fee of £5!!! what an insult- my daughter bought this present in good faith and paid a lot of money for it, and as virgin are a multi millionaire corporate company I feel its a bit poor that you could not even offer a free re-renewal!! appalling service and shame on you Mr Branson no wonder you own an Island!! of course you do! and we the public have paid for it!!! - ENJOY!!!! I totally accept that because of the expiry date and the venue no longer being offered by Virgin experiences, there was nothing that could be done, but I feel the customer service solution in this instant was unacceptable. Needless to say my daughter or I wont be using your company again- very disappointed.

I brought a voucher for a helicopter tour. We saved this until the summer so the views would be good. On the first booking. It was cancelled due to weather and I totally understood. The second booking was cancelled with no reason given and the next available date it November. So a very high chance of this being cancelled again and if it isn't limited views. I asked if I could get a refund and after 2 weeks I was told no. So I asked for an extension on the voucher as it is only valid for 12 months. Again I was told no. I am now having to book in the winter and fully expect it to be cancelled again and have another wasted day off. I would suggest you stay away unless you want several wasted weekends So

Children bought me kewgardens visit together with afternoon tea at the Richmond Gate hotel for my 60th birthday The afternoon tea was of such poor quality and was served to us in a dark sitting room where we were on our own. I was so disappointed I left. The quality of the food may be down to the hotel but the fact that you are putting this with a Visit to Kewgardens over half an hour away is totally unacceptable especially as the reviews for the afternoon tea are bad. There is no way the price for the afternoon tea can be justified. Other local establishments were offering a superior product for less than the Richmong Gate were charging. So disappointed.

Shocking product. My son was given an experience (go karting) and did not take it in time. There's no way to extend; he's just lost the opportunity to use it. So what happens to the money paid for this? Do Virgin just pocket it? Does the company providing the service keep it? Where's it gone? I suspect Virgin just keep it and it's tough. Nothing short of thievery, Virgin. You should be ashamed of this; the antithesis of good customer service. Never, ever again.

Shocking - They send you a piece of paper then you have to go on the internet and get another piece of paper. Then you have to use that piece of paper to book by a phone call. Also, be careful, if you lose your 2nd piece of paper you have to wait 6 months before you can ask for a new one and it will cost you £20 for them to re-print and send this piece of paper. It's 2016, I can arrange a mortgage using a mobile app and this is the hassle you have to go through to book an experience day with Virgin. An absolute con, I'd love the see the number of people that DON'T manage to book their experience due to the horrendous Virgin customer experience...

My super car day was not good. Site ran by very young people who let people pay to queue jump, no facilities except a burger van. Site only had 2 Porsches and over 40 people Queuing to ride the Porsche and this was at my allocated booking time so I had to wait almost 2 hours to drive 3 laps along a heavily congested track. The drive back on the M2 and M25 was less congested and faster in my own car, total waste of money and time off work. Never again

Deluxe theatre experience... 2 crappy dry plays available. Swapped it and waited 3 months for my new voucher, spent a FORTUNE, on the telephone, I'll report back on my new experience soon, a 2 night stay in a hotel, watch this space....

DO NOT USE, absolute rip off. No dates available for our voucher before it ran out. They then charged me a fee to "extend the voucher" but still could not guarantee there would be any dates. Now reporting this to trading standards as what they are doing is selling a product that they VERY often cannot provide (and NO refunds - just more money grabbing). JUST BUY the Experience DIRECT and don't throw your money away!!! 82% of reviews 1 star (and can we trust the UNVERIFIED 5 stars?).

My wife booked the three car experience that you will find has a lot of hidden extras and no availability when booking. I had 1 month left when I called to book but was told fully booked. I was informed that I should have booked as soon as I received my voucher(fair play my fault) but pointed out that there wasn't anything on the paperwork advising me to do so. "It's in the T's & C's that the purchaser would have received when purchasing" I was expertly backside covering told. I called Virgin and was told additional £20 to extend voucher but haggled down to £10. I tried to book as soon as my new "9 month extended" voucher arrived to be told that they were fully booked until the end of the year (this was the end of August) and they haven't been issued dates for next year yet (my problem then!). Only by selecting another car to the Porsche was I able to book this year. The booking only covers week days so £20 to upgrade to the weekend then an additional £20 for Dunsfold aerodrome then additional £40 for insurance (all tucked away in the T's & C's at time of purchase no doubt). On arrival (as instructed) 1 hour before my first time slot it was really busy and you then had to stand around with all the other poor victims and wait for your time slot (30 mins between each car )Arrived at 2pm finished at 5:45 pm, 2x laps in each car, distance Unknown 15-20 mins approx total driving. The High speed passenger lap is excellent 150 mph but you are quite restricted when drivng 60-80 mph (it was raining) but I felt a bit let down by the experience. All staff/instructors onsite really nice and helpful but you get the impression that higher management are more interested in making money by selling you addons/upgrades than you having a good time. Would I do it again ? No

Experience not as expected in the detailed information as given by Virgin Experience. I opted for an extended flying lesson. It stated that you would get at least 40mins in the air. We arrived at the venue for the allotted time. My son and I then had to wait for at least 30 minutes whilst the instructor ate their lunch in front of us! We got told they were checking over the plane. There was no information given for the extended flying lesson. Not only that I had to pay extra and then the actual flying time was certainly no longer than 25mins. All in all very diss appointed. This was ment to be a special treat which left me totally dissatisfied. I would not recommend virgin experience vouchers as feel very over priced for the service that we received.
