“I was not at all happy with the cleaning service that Molly Maid cleaning staff provided. It was a move out cleaning but they cleaned it all on the surface. They didn't do any deep cleaning. When I asked them to clean the house properly they said that the vacuum and the broom were not good enough to do deep cleaning. They didn't clean the kitchen cabinet, Refrigerator properly and didn't clean the doors and window blinds at all. Their attitude was also very unprofessional. As a result I had to spend 2 hours cleaning my apartment again before handing over the key to my landlord. When I addressed this to the Franchise owner he was not ready to listen to anything, He just offered me $50 didcount and told me that 3 people worked for two hours so he could not give me more discount. Actually the whole service needed to be redone (which I did),So it doesn't matter how many people worked for how many hours if they didn't do their job properly. They should not be paid. I must say it was a completely unethical service.”
“An Estimator came to my house in Boca Raton Florida and quoted me a charge of $200 to $250. The workers came and weren't asked to clean the whole house. 2 bedrooms a living room a kitchen and 1 1/2 bathroom. The said it would cost $700 to $765. I refused. They also refuse to return my $50 deposit. I am disputing that with my credit card company. Neither of the 2 maids that came speak English and it is hard to communicate with them.

“We came home to find that the cleaner had somehow managed to shut off our house freezer and we had water all over the place from the ice maker and had to throw a bunch of stuff away.
Plus a very poor attempt at cleaning and we ended up having to do the tables ourselves. We emailed them about the problem and got no response only a bill for one hundred and ninety dollars.
Not good enough. Won't use again.

“I had requested a quote from Molly maid services. I had been speaking to some guy named Jeremy for the past week texting back and forth of a good time for him to come in and check out my house to give me an estimate. Before he even arrived I had assured him that number one I have three children who are out of school right now because of school vacation. Number two I have two puppies number three I have health issues and we already are making do with what we have which is a small area and I am working overnights right now trying to make ends meet to pay the bills so I'm trying to keep up with everything me and my husband. We are doing a lot for our family trying to make sure that our children eat everyday and that's pretty much very important aside from that we had decided that we could finally ask for a third party service to come to help me with the cleaning of our home. As I previously just stated I had already told Jeremy a few times that my house a will not be this way when Molly made cleaners actually come in and b I had just assumed he just wanted to see the layout of my home so that we could get an estimate.
As soon as he got there he already had made up his mind coming in he had looked through our stuff he was very judgmental although he tried to keep the persona quiet I can see right through him that he was absolutely disgusted with what he walked into even knowing that in the beginning. I assumed Molly maids was a service that could help me a mother who is working take care of my home so that my children could have a better environment we all deserve help I don't understand why this guy was so shut down so quickly but he did not want to allow his cleaners to help me even when I didn't even get an estimate number. He was in such a rush to leave that he left me with two cleaning numbers of other people that he had only heard through through the grapevines which ended up being commercial cleaners not even residential cleaners and I'm sure at this point he's talking about my family in our house to the cleaning employees.
This experience was very raw and disrespectful and I do not recommend the service although I never got the actual cleaning the initial estimate of the guy Jeremy coming into my home and he told me that he wouldn't judge me and he completely judged me and my family. He practically ran out of our house. I do not recommend Molly maid services to anybody and I will be telling everybody that I come into contact with that ask that Molly needs is not a good service.
As a customer I am and was willing to pay money for a service that I needed help with and I was denied help. My house is not as dirty as I am being perceived as. A family lives here with children that's not right.
I asked for help!!!
I have an 11-year-old daughter I have a 7-year-old daughter and I have a 5-year-old son
That was not right!!!”
“Do not hire Molly Maid. We hired them for a move-in cleaning, and it was a complete disaster from start to finish. The cleaners showed up over an hour late, then charged us for more time than we were quoted, and did a TERRIBLE job.
After they left, the house was still visibly dirty to the naked eye. There were food particles on the floors and in the cabinets, and every surface was grimy. Simply wiping a cabinet or the floor with a clean cloth left it black with filth. We ended up having to clean the entire place ourselves after paying over $500.
When we contacted Molly Maid to address the issue, they refused to offer any reasonable solution. No refund, no return visit — nothing. Just complete dismissal.
We feel completely taken advantage of. This was a waste of time, money, and trust. Save yourself the frustration and hire literally anyone else.”
“Called Molly maid on a Friday to schedule cleaning for the following Wednesday afternoon. Found them on Google that said they service our area/ zip code
Set up the apt. Had a reminder sent on Sunday that someone would be at our home after 12 pm Wednesday. Received a call Tuesday saying unfortunately our area is not in their range and they would have to drive 1 1/2 hours to get to our home and cancelled. I called back after looking it up again and it said indeed we were in their area
She said we were still on the schedule and doesn’t know who called us but they would be here. Stated they have 2 offices and had scheduled thru the wrong office which is in Franklin co. but would fix this. She then said she would ck with the management for me to hold on to the call
Came back on the phone saying they do cover our area but it’s not on their route?????
They have an office 30 minutes away in Chattanooga so totally confused.
Never calling them again.”
“Do not use this service. They did not do the job properly and had to return to complete basic things like dusting. Matthew who seems to on board new clients is beyond rude. When I asked to discontinue any future services he argued. Then on the phone he became angry that I wouldn't reconsider he proceeded to hang up. Find a different company and save yourself the aggravation.”
“Cleaning was very superficial. I was so surprised to hear that she cleaned the bathrooms. I asked to vacuum the carport and it was not done properly. I asked to clean bathtrooms again however I felt bad as person was old and could say she was exhausted. I won’t call again! Very bad first time experience. Tried attaching photo but got message “could not upload your files. Try later”. I see no difference before and after. Assessor told my home is clean and she recommended $235 for first cleaning. Now I feel I could have cleaned instead of spending this $235 and having bad experience. Highly disappointed!!!”
“I normally don’t leave reviews, but I feel obligated to share my experience to help others make an informed decision.
I recently hired Molly Maid for a standard home cleaning. Everything seemed fine until I noticed something deeply concerning. I keep emergency cash stored in a container in my closet — a private area that was not supposed to be accessed during cleaning.
On Sunday, I personally counted $300 in that container, bundled in rubber bands with the date written on it. On Monday, Molly Maid came to clean. On Tuesday, my wife checked the container and noticed there was only $100 inside.
She initially thought it was her money and asked where the rest went. I explained that her separate $300 was in a different cash box, untouched. But the emergency stash I counted two days earlier was now missing $200.
The only people who had access to that part of the house were the Molly Maid cleaners. Our small children are too young to reach the shelf where the container was stored, and no one else entered the home during that time.
Yes, we called Molly Maid Services and made a formal complaint. We also filed a police report. I wish I had cameras in that room — but now I know for next time. Be careful who you let into your home.
This experience left us feeling robbed and violated. I would not use their services again, and I strongly caution others to think twice before doing so.”
“I was supposed to have a move-out detailed
cleaning at 11:00 am but that didn't happen. Two ladies who did not speak english arrived at my house at 4:45 pm. 30 minutes after their arrival a coworker brought them pizza because they had been working all day and were unable to eat. They stayed in my house until after 11pm and the baseboards were not cleaned, laundry room not cleaned, cabinets not wiped down, pantry was not swept, bathroom not swept and mopped behind toilet, trash cans not wiped down, just to mention a few things that were done and because I did not tip them they left their pizza box by my front door. This service was horrible. The spent most of the time in my bathrooms and they weren't even cleaned very well. After this experience I would never hire or recommend Molly Maids.”
“Terrible pay for employees with unrealistic time per house to do the job the poor customer has paid for
So please when as a customer you feel the need to complain please realise it's not the workers but the company who only want your money”
“Molly Maids came to my home to clean started moving things , And they didn’t clean it well and they stole several items from my home , out of my drawers , out of my storage cabinet. And they didn’t even clean my home good . I would never hire this company to clean my home again”
“I got paid for a full hour and they stayed for a lil over 30 mins. The service was rushed and barely cleaned. No one reached out to me after the service when they said they would have.”
“I ordered a Tshirt and received a sweatshirt that’s the wrong size and with different art. Not even close to what was paid. I paid $20. They offered me $9.
The order was also missing the visor I paid for.
I sent a picture from my purchase receipt of the Tshirt ordered and also of the sweatshirt received AND they claim they are the same! I’ve tried to include the pictures of both in this review but they won’t download.
Their solution is for me to pay postage to return to CHINA. Buyer beware.”
“Over charged for terrible service. Seaside Ca. $ 260. For 2 hrs. of what was supposed to be a initial deep cleaning. They did a bad job and when I showed them, the franchise owner and a first time employee, what still needed to be done they still didn't do what was requested. After letting them know of my dissatisfaction they acted like they didn't know what to do about it so I told her to forget about coming back. Now after a day to really check thier work out I'm really not happy... Just needed to vent I guess.”
“Hello! I’m writing to inform anyone considering using Molly Maid of Mt Pleasant to think twice. While the owner was pleasant on the phone and sent two girls, they left my home within moments. I had told the owner, Jennifer, that I am house training two baby puppies. She informed me that she would not subject her girls to my house.
I do NOT live in a barn & have been cleaning after each puppy accident for weeks.
I do not know what Molly Maid of Mt P does. They don’t clean glass furniture inserts, polish furniture or floors.
This is the 2nd time I’ve tried to use them to no avail. I will not do so again. Anyone considering using this company, please contact another .”
“I just had the unfortunate experience of speaking with Gina; in scheduling who openly complained about having to re-book my service AND told an untruth about giving me 3 weeks heads up notice.
Oh, I SAW the notice alright, the notice for a cleaning on the 1st of November! It has BARELY BEEN 3 WEEKS SINCE MY LAST CLEANING, MIND YOU.
I do not need to give a reason for cancelling a service because I do not find it appropriate for Molly Maid to be privy to my personal life but now I know that If I have an emergency, I am going to have to hear a complaint about how (and i quote) , "We turn down jobs for customers that have those slots reserved especially at the holidays so I need to find something to book in your place now tomorrow". Is that the standard for Molly Maid? to mention that to paying consumers. Was it necessary?
I think NOT!
As someone who works in customer service, I am human and have my complaints, but I NEVER let a client know that I feel inconvenienced by their actions. I never complain to them about having to do my JOB. Remember what her job was? SCHEDULING. That includes RE-SCHEDULING as well. I haven't had ANY issues with my regular maids, and I would normally recommend Molly Maid as far as cleaning goes but if consumers who spend their last dime trying to keep their house nice and clean are treated like THIS? I would NO LONGER RECOMMEND MOLLY MAID.
Thanks a LOT Gina.
