Tried to buy curtain poles from Argos. 3 packs from two different stores and all were bowed....therefore faulty. We ended up driving 30 miles and still had no luck . None in stock in any stores locally and the shop wouldnt order any in store for us to collect. We could only have home delivery at £3.95 . They wouldnt even waiver the delivery charge despite proof of receipt. I think the quality of items are shoddy and the customer service rubbish . Was just given a premium rate number to complain and the on line chat was useless. Argos is going down . Wont be sad to see it closed because people deserve better service and goods

Had so many problems with Argos since Salisbury's took over. They advertising a Samsung TV with the wrong specks saying it is voice controlled with one controller for all but it is the older model so had to return. Now taking time to refund me and the voice controlled one is out of stock everywhere. I ended up buying the same TV again but at John Lewis for £50 cheaper and comes with a full 5 year Guarantee, Argos want over a hundred pound for 3 year cover when John Lewis does 5 years with the TV. Will not be using Argos again. I told Argos about the advertising being wrong and they have done nothing as still states it is voice controlled. Previous to this after finally getting a bed for my daughter delivered 5 days late because of the snow, it was full of water because they loaded it on a lorry that had a whole in the cab which they new because they put absorbent mats on the floor but that did nothing. So having to wait another week and a half. And now have had to pay a local lad £30 to come over and put up the bed when it is delivered. They have gone downhill and will stop using them and will use the cheaper John Lewis.

Shocking customer service from ARGOS… Shocking customer service from ARGOS and comparetechnology Purchased a 12 month sim only deal with a supposed £50.00 E-Voucher and never received it. Argos refuse to accept its their problem and the 3rd party who are linked to Argos website just ignore all emails. Will never purchase anything from Argos again.

Do not read customers complaint letters, as written two in one month and have not mentioned all that I complained about! J Lyons from Correspondent Dept was more concerned about not refunding any out of pocket expenses which Argos and Expert Domestics caused. Their on-line chat do not give the correct information although they seem to leave the chat to check their information. Diabolical!!! never again Argos! you treat your customers disgracefully, no compassion, no genuine apology, no customer service where complaints are concerned.....

I have had a very bad experience with Argos, also, out of pocket by approx £74 for something which is undoubtedly up to them. I ordered a washing machine for my elderly of 82 and paid extra for the delivery, installation etc. I understood that disconnection was included but was asked by their very caring delivery co many "Expert Logistics" that the machine needed to be disconnected which meant I had to pay and travel to the Isle of Wight to disconnect the machine. This was done then the very rude and unsympathetic delivery men decided not to deliver as there were cars parked outside. This left my mother in a very distressed and tearful state! Argos were very uncaring, neither showed any compassion. on querying the disconnection side, I queried twice with Argos on-line chat who confirmed that this was included, even after mentioning what machine I was ordering. Apparently, as Correspondent Department explained later, they disconnect Integral washing machines with this service but not free standing!!!! Integral are more time consuming than free-standing. I was paying for this service to save me having to travel and pay ferry fares which are astronomical to the Island. When checking re: delivery etc it is not advisable to use their on-line chat as apparently they tell lies according to the Correspondent Department and they also use a very unintelligent delivery company who are by no means experts..................Argos you are going down hill. I have yet to inform Trading Standards. You should not tell customers these things are included when they are not. Thank you so much for this very stressful episode, I shall try to refrain from using your services again and will advise others to do the same.

Not sure why Argos insists on punishing it's customers with a really poor and absolutely shocking delivery company like YODEL but they will do well to remember that the customer makes Argos what it is today. Very dissapointed with the service and I think it's time to take my money elsewhwere.

We bought a tumble dryer that turned out to be faulty. Lemons happen. BUT then the problems began when we tried to return it. They scheduled a pickup in December and failed to turn up. Since then, they have not been able to arrange a pickup with us, despite numerous phone calls. It is still sitting in our front hallway. DO NOT EXPECT DECENT CUSTOMER SERVICE, despite the nice manners of the customer service reps on the phone. DO NOT USE THEM FOR LARGE ITEMS!!

Argos. Yes, Argos. What is it about this company who sell seriously overpriced products of all types? I will briefly explain. I am company XX. I have 2000 older product TV sets to dispose of as I have a new model out. With me so far? I contact Argos and do a deal with them, selling them all the older TV's at a knock down price. Argos sell them at an inflated price. Get it? Before you buy at Argos do some homework first and you will for certain find the same thing cheaper elsewhere. Always check the clear tape sealing the boxes closed as it is likely it will be a return.

I've had two cookers in seven days both faulty and had to pay the cost to get it uninstall and installed second time around not my fault. Customer service was bad put throw 4 different departments and still not resolved BEWERE!!! Of Argos if you're buying electrical items. I wish I shopped around as there are some better deals out there and I'm sure better customer service.

Exercise bike broken and engineer came out and said it could not be repaired and would be replaced. I received a voicemail from customer services asking me to call back to arrange the replacement which i did. They were rude and unhelpful and kept saying i shouldn't call them but should go to a shop and ask them to call an engineer to inspect the bike. After 3 calls and 2 hours customer services said they had organised a replacement bike that i had to pick up at a shop and the store manager knew all about this. Of course when i got to the shop the manager did not know anything about this. Moral of the story never ever shop at Argos

WARNING - if you buy Argos Value bagged vacuum cleaner, after 1 year they happily discontinue the bags so you have to buy a new vacuum from their new range which has bespoke bags which you can't use on previous models. They do not offer an exchange/gift vouchers for their product that you can no longer use. Also the Customer Service numbers on the product for Spare Parts are dead phone lines. This may also apply to other Argos Value products - AVOID Argos's Value Products.

Fed up with the website as do not have the necessary information and it is confusing when you buy an item and sent it back as it charges you the same saying that’s is credited???constantly cut me off saying I have the wrong password and if I reset is unable to use the password that supposed to be wrong as it says could not use the same password wtf if it was wrong???? Do not have problems with any other websites. Very disappointed

Argos customer care non existent. Ordered a camera as Christmas present for granddaughter and it should have had a printer included. There was no printer with the order and no email on the website to contact Argos. Wrote to the address on the website on 20th December and received a reply some 2 weeks later. The letter stated that I should have received a printer and to advise how I wished to take delivery. Again no contact details so rang the customer sales team to explain situation and request help. They could not transfer my call due to a problem, refused to pass message to the person concerned and suggested I rang back. I rang the following day and was again refused any help other than that old lie someone will ring you back. Waited a day or so and no call so wrote again. A week later still no reply so wrote addressing letter to customer complaints. A few days later received a letter again requesting how I would like printer delivered but this time given a phone number. Rang the number and received a feeble apology and a promise to deliver the printer. It has now arrived following 3 phone calls , 3 letters and over 4 weeks after it should have arrived.
