We bought a tumble dryer that turned out to be faulty. Lemons happen. BUT then the problems began when we tried to return it. They scheduled a pickup in December and failed to turn up. Since then, they have not been able to arrange a pickup with us, despite numerous phone calls. It is still sitting in our front hallway. DO NOT EXPECT DECENT CUSTOMER SERVICE, despite the nice manners of the customer service reps on the phone. DO NOT USE THEM FOR LARGE ITEMS!!

Argos. Yes, Argos. What is it about this company who sell seriously overpriced products of all types? I will briefly explain. I am company XX. I have 2000 older product TV sets to dispose of as I have a new model out. With me so far? I contact Argos and do a deal with them, selling them all the older TV's at a knock down price. Argos sell them at an inflated price. Get it? Before you buy at Argos do some homework first and you will for certain find the same thing cheaper elsewhere. Always check the clear tape sealing the boxes closed as it is likely it will be a return.

I've had two cookers in seven days both faulty and had to pay the cost to get it uninstall and installed second time around not my fault. Customer service was bad put throw 4 different departments and still not resolved BEWERE!!! Of Argos if you're buying electrical items. I wish I shopped around as there are some better deals out there and I'm sure better customer service.

Exercise bike broken and engineer came out and said it could not be repaired and would be replaced. I received a voicemail from customer services asking me to call back to arrange the replacement which i did. They were rude and unhelpful and kept saying i shouldn't call them but should go to a shop and ask them to call an engineer to inspect the bike. After 3 calls and 2 hours customer services said they had organised a replacement bike that i had to pick up at a shop and the store manager knew all about this. Of course when i got to the shop the manager did not know anything about this. Moral of the story never ever shop at Argos

WARNING - if you buy Argos Value bagged vacuum cleaner, after 1 year they happily discontinue the bags so you have to buy a new vacuum from their new range which has bespoke bags which you can't use on previous models. They do not offer an exchange/gift vouchers for their product that you can no longer use. Also the Customer Service numbers on the product for Spare Parts are dead phone lines. This may also apply to other Argos Value products - AVOID Argos's Value Products.

So many times, many complaints. Fed up with the website as do not have the necessary information and it is confusing when you buy an item and sent it back as it charges you the same saying that’s is credited???constantly cut me off saying I have the wrong password and if I reset is unable to use the password that supposed to be wrong as it says could not use the same password wtf if it was wrong???? Do not have problems with any other websites. Very disappointed

Argos customer care non existent. Ordered a camera as Christmas present for granddaughter and it should have had a printer included. There was no printer with the order and no email on the website to contact Argos. Wrote to the address on the website on 20th December and received a reply some 2 weeks later. The letter stated that I should have received a printer and to advise how I wished to take delivery. Again no contact details so rang the customer sales team to explain situation and request help. They could not transfer my call due to a problem, refused to pass message to the person concerned and suggested I rang back. I rang the following day and was again refused any help other than that old lie someone will ring you back. Waited a day or so and no call so wrote again. A week later still no reply so wrote addressing letter to customer complaints. A few days later received a letter again requesting how I would like printer delivered but this time given a phone number. Rang the number and received a feeble apology and a promise to deliver the printer. It has now arrived following 3 phone calls , 3 letters and over 4 weeks after it should have arrived.

I bought a laptop from Argos Bishopbriggs on 15th January 2018, took it home, set it up and used it for around 20 minutes. The pc kept freezing and wouldn't load properly. The next day, I returned to Argos Bishopbriggs, with the pc in its original box and receipt, asking for either a full refund as the machine is too slow and keeps freezing. I was willing to spend more money for a faster pc if they had taken the Asus L402N back. Argos Bishopbriggs refused to accept the pc was faulty as it worked adequately in their showroom and point to minute wording on their guarantee, that if the goods have been used, they will not refund or replace the pc. I mentioned that I am disabled visually impaired and the print on the guarantee was so small, there was no way I could read it. They still refused to accept the pc back. They also argued that the machine cannot be sold if it has been used. That argument is ridiculous because the computer can be reset to manufacturers settings. The Argos agent that dealt with me, I found to have a patronising and abrasive attitude. After this event, I will never buy from Argos again. Their customer service is a disgrace.

The cordless phone Panasonic with answer machine, that we bought on the 28th never worked. Went today the 5th from the Lewisham Argos branch where we purchased but the none technical knowledge employee and the manager as well, aren't refunding or exchange the phone. We're stuck now with useless employees that can not figure out a faulty device. Mentioned them, the device has been checked with our neighbours landline and didn't work as well..what can we do The employees guarantee us that the phone is working fine but phone is not. Should we complaint to Panasonic ?

The customer service at Argos is absolutely disgusting. I was promised by a member of the customer service team that they would pass my partner's mobile number onto the driver before getting a fridge freezer delivered as I would not be able to answer my phone at the time of delivery. This message was not passed on to the driver - they did not call my partner's mobile number and therefore the delivery was missed - at their fault. I asked if it could be delivered the next day. Someone called Karl said they would get back to me that evening to re-book. He never got back to me. I then rang up again the next day and they were still unwilling to resolve the situation. They gave me dates for the following week. that is not good enough - there is a reason why I chose Saturday delivery. In the end I ended up cancelling the order, which they seemed very eager for me to do. They would rather cancel the order than come up with a solution.

I ordered 3 kitchen cupboard drawers and was given a delivery date of 4th January, between 7am and 9pm. I waited in during the hours advised and did not receive the goods, as no delivery was attempted. I therefore waited in the following day as I had been advised that the delivery would arrive on the 5th. A package finally arrived and it was the wrong goods. I spoke with customer services who advised that I would have to wait in for a further day, between the hours of 7am and 9pm so that the incorrect goods could be collected. I asked if I could have a timed collection slot due to it being their error and was told that this was not possible. I explained that I would be back at work on Monday, and as this was Friday I would not be able to wait in for them to collect the goods. I asked to speak to a manager (Arthur) who ran me through my options (listed below) and said that he would phone me back within a hour....which did not happen. I was left with three options: 1) take a days annual leave and wait in for up to 14 hours (7am-9pm) 2) make a 40 mile round trip to return the goods to one of their stores 3) Leave the goods on my door step at my risk. A timed slot would have resolved this issue and would have meant that Argos had a slightly frustrated customer rather than a very annoyed/angry customer, however it appears that a timed slot was too much for Argos to organise. When will Argos learn that keeping customers coming back to their stores is the key to success and that you win customers over by resolving issues? Sorry Argos this is not good enough...there are plenty of places to shop and I can assure you I will be one customer (and family) which does not return to your stores...

I bought a vacuum cleaner in Argos but they messed up with the delivery. They texted saying that the delivery was on its way but it never arrived to my house. After more than 20 phone calls, they said that the vacuum cleaner was delivered to my address and that the delivery receipt was signed ... (that is impossible because I was at home that day)They told me that there was nothing else they could do for me and invited me to contact my bank in case I wanted to cancel the payment. Thank you Argos!!! your customer service is outstanding
