Good question would be easier to ask what didn't go wrong I ordered a washing machine was told it would be delivered on wed 14th August between 07.00. And 13.00. it got to 14.30. I rang argos was told shouldn't have been told that time but everything was running to time and it would Definitely be there by 15.20. But no it eventually arrived at 16.30 now I had waited all day for this and had to go shopping so off I went but 2 mins later the 2 burly delivery guys had come back to my house my 15 year old daughter answered they said is your Mum there she said no so they grabbed the washing machine my daughter asked them what they were doing they said we need to redeliver it later my daughter rang my Dad and told him he got straight on phone to argos lady said she would find out what had happened and ring him back in 2 minutes 45 minutes later no reply so rang again was put through from 1 dept to another and just got fobbed off so rang again and was told putting you through to argos fraud department I was put on hold for 1 hour 20 minutes I even involved the police at this time it was not until the next day that I actually found out they had delivered someone else's item and mine was left at depot so why couldn't someone have told me this when it happened it would have saved my 15 year old daughter being so upset thinking someone had stolen my washing machine and also would have saved 3 and half hours on his mobile phone God knows how much that cost so when it was all clarified the next day the lies from argos still didn't stop as I was told by agent had been offered £35 by way of compensation but she said to me with all the money it would have cost in phone calls and the upset caused to my daughter who may I remind you is a minor at 15 years old so if I would ring after item was delivered on new delivery date of Saturday 17th August that they would sort out an appropriate compensation solution as £35 was not good enough in her opinion so when I rang again was offered £32 which quickly changed to £35 so once again more lies from argos they just keep on coming everytime you ring them

I ordered a camera from Argos. I picked up the order from a drop off at Sainsburys and took it home. The item in the box had been replaced with a cheap USB charger of similar size and weight and the box had been sealed up. I rang up Argos and they wanted nothing to do with it. Absolutely disgusting customer service and a fraudulent transaction they want to wash their hands of. Either they don't check their returns or they have thieves somewhere in the distribution system. Either way it's not great. And if something goes wrong they will do nothing to help you. Argos will never again get a penny from me. Save yourself from a similar experience.

DO NOT SHOP HERE, they clearly have thieves in their back office / supply chain (or they don't check returns) and if something goes wrong they will do nothing to help you. Argos will never again get a penny from me. Save yourself from a similar experience.

We ordered a washing machine from Argos on the 27th July for delivery on the 8th August (morning slot 8am-12), we received 2 messages the day before confirming delivery and 1 on the morning at 7am. My husband is self employed to cancelled work to stay at home for the delivery. 8am we received a text to say that you were not delivering our washing machine and a new order had been raised to deliver it on the 20th August. Why does Argos think it's acceptable to inform us that the order has been cancelled on the delivery date/time? Why does Argos think it's acceptable to leave someone without a washing machine for (almost) a whole month? My husband has lost wages as a result and I still have a mountain of washing - my elderly, ill father lives with me so I need a washing machine and it's been a struggle to manage without between 27th July to the 8th August, let alone having to wait until the 20th August. I was then given a 'new' delivery order number - why? Was it to meet a delivery target that was never going to be met? Totally dreadful service. I have cancelled the order and placed one through Curry's who are going to deliver within 48 hours - something I should have done on the 27th July. I suggest everyone does the same

Ordered fully integrated dishwasher with installation service. Asked them to put cupboard door on when finished. First thing fitter says 'we might not be able to do it (not sure if he meant just door or installation), as we're not allowed to carry cutting equipment. It's a poor service to be honest.' I thought this is not a good start and my impression was that they just couldn't be arsed. I said I have paid £80 for this service and want a good job. I left them to it and a few moments later he nonchalantly said they couldn't get it out. There had been a leak at some point which had expanded the chipboard and now the dishwasher was stuck there. Fair enough I thought, but he didn't offer any possible solutions other than get someone else out. I can't say just how frustrating it was. For 80 quid would have thought they could overcome this problem. No 'can do' attitude at all. Then he wanted me to tick an option that said service was refused and sign it. He said I had to tick a box and that he needed a signature. I wasn't very happy to do this as not really true. Felt I had to send the whole thing back.. what's the point of having a dishwasher if I can't use it? I wanted to raise a complaint about it via phone but an automated voice said this call will cost £6 so hung up. Called customer service and told them what the fitter had said. She said ' they don't carry cutting equipment because there's no reason for them to be cutting anything.' Not what the fitter said. I didn't say anything but wasn't impressed. Argos are refunding me the money which is one good thing and they do deliver when they say they are going to. Have managed to find a cheaper dishwasher from another company and an independent plumber has quoted me £80 to come and install it. Will see what he says. Overall, the attitude from the beginning was poor so didn't trust them when they said they could not do it after about 5 minutes of looking at it. Will certainly think twice about ordering from these big firms in future.

Beware when you use Argos store card . The 2, retail n card services do not talk to each other . Consequently Argos takes no responsibility. this has resulted in for an error they made which has cost me deathly. I Will never use them again. Their complaints process does not put the customer at the heart of their decision. Robotic decision making

All the entries regarding this company's open support of lgbt have vanished. No surprise there then. That's lesbians homosexuals etc etc. There was one entry asking why Argos did not put a notice in their store windows alongside the lgbt one supporting the rest of us who are normal. I'm sure I am not the only one who will not be shopping with them because of this.

The worst service I have ever had. The staff at Hawick were rude particularly the manager. They were no name tags so it may not have been. Return procedure is a joke.

Ordered delivery for between 7-10 am. No delivery and no contact from Argos as to why. Not able to track on website so phoned given number. 20 minutes of holding and then cut off. Tried live chat and continually states mine will be answered in around 15 minutes. It would be helpful if Argus can at leat text or email to say they won’t be delivering

I have had issues with Argos and their delivery service last year a total joke. Today i had placed an order and realised i had put the wrong delivery address. I contacted Customer Services, with all my details to hand, but there is nothing they can do! This person could see my order details on her screen but could not assist. In this day and age how come!?

Online service is shocking. Took money for ordered item from two stores at the same time, one 300 miles away. Customer service help was useless. Still haven’t received my money back from one of the stores. Never , ever on line again. Live chat, forget it.

I went to purchase a Rotary Chronograph watch from Bilston branch and found it to be used, not happy. Went to Argos Bentley Bridge to purchase same watch. Took it home found it had a scratch on chrome and the screw in winder would not screw in correctly as if someone had cross threaded it. Took it back asked for a replacement they said they only had the display one left. Not happy so they said they would order one strait from the factory be here end of day. Went home had tech after only 20 mins that the watch was now in stock. Contacted customer services to varify it was a new factory one and asked how on earth it could arrive so quickly. They said they had just come in. So back to the shop again 3rd time saw the same shop assistant who scratched his head then went off and produced the replacement watch. It was covered in finger prints and not packaged very well. He assured me it was new. I said then how if you didn’t have any in stock how it materialised, was it the display one I didn’t want, he said no then asking about poorly packaged and the finger prints he said they have to be checked, I had enough by then, and reluctantly accepted it. I shall go back to Bentley bridge and if the display one has disappeared I shall have words with the management. Never will I use Argos again first and very last time

Argos customer Service Great DHL terrible! I bought a Electric cooker with installation and recycling service from Argos in store on the 31st May 2019, and was advised someone would contact me to arrange delivery. No one called me, I had to phone Argos, I was told the delivery date, I asked if the service would be included and I was told some one would call me. They didn’t. In the end I had to chance the delivery date myself due to work commitments. Only date available 14th July, with installation I spoke to a rep at DHL who advised it was all booked in. A few days before the delivery I called Argos as I had not had any confirmation of delivery, to be told that my delivery had not been booked in, bearing in mind I had paid in full for the cooker and instillation, so no one had bothered to even call me to arrange redelivery, they had not noticed that the cooker I paid for had not been booked for delivery. I complained and received a £30 good will gesture and rebooked the delivery for the 28th July, I was assured that someone would manage my case to make sure it all goes smoothly, I received a couple of txt messages to confirm, which I was happy with. So the 28th roles around and I’m happy that I’m getting the delivery and installation earlier then expected, between 12:30 and 13:30,I get a call 20mind before DHL are due and confirm the delivery. I asked if the cooker would also be installed, to be told by the driver.. no, the electrician has phoned in sick I was also told they would not be taking my old cooker away. The driver advised that they can deliver and I can just get a refund for the installation I told the driver not to deliver the cooker as I need an electrician to fit the cooker. I was very disappointed as by this point I had been waiting for my new cooker for 2 months. I phones Argos and asked to speak to a manger and was told that they wouldn’t speak to me that I needed to speak to the resolutions team by the agent, who couldn’t get through to them, I said that I would but get off the phone until I could speak to someone who could help me as the agent was unable to. As I wanted a full refund. After several attempts and being out on hold for a long time I managed to speak to someone in resolutions. They happily refunded my money but failed to mention that I would get the full amount back as I had already received the £30 goodwill. So I had to call Argos again to be told the above, I explained that the £30 was meant to be good will for the messed up delivery and that u want my full money back. Which I got but the extra £30 I will receive as a Argos gift card to be honest after the experience I have had the last thing I want is an Argos gift card. Really disappointed customer who will not be recommending you to anyone for home delivery.
