“Covid - 19 colleagues incompetent!
Recently went to my local asda *Glasshoughton* I politely mentioned to the GSM - that the safety Marshall wasn't wearing her mask correctly (it was under her nose) GSM incredibly said some people don't like to wear a mask over their nose! Yep gods honest truth! Few minutes later saw the same person (manager) remove his face mask to speak to another colleague approx 2 ft away! Shocking to see. I actually emailed the CEO, regarding the lack of respect to government guidelines, I got a big standard automated response! (as expected) then wait for this - went in today, the very day after asdas press release regarding their ongoing efforts to protect colleagues/customers etc prior to lockdown II. The very same safety Marshall - 3rd time in a row was NOT wearing a face covering correctly! She was rude & abrupt. Even insulted my intelligence by saying *she wasn't a safety Marshall she was wearing a safety Marshall fleece as she was cold*..! This is from FRONT OF HOUSE safety Marshall.! Shocking customer service whilst doing my shop with my 2 year old daughter I saw approx 7 maybe 8 colleagues flouting government and asda policy regarding the wearing of face coverings.. Incredibly sad and disappointed in the unprofessional manner of the store.”
“After shopping in Asda Aberdare I realized the bill was incorrect. I returned to the customer service with the bill and goods and pointed out the error, which was costing me an extra £8. The error was on the "extra special" menu, of 1 main, 1 side, 1 dessert and a bottle of wine for £10.
I was told there was no error as the tillcould not be wrong. It took me over half an hour to convince them I was right and get my money back. However the worse for me was no apology. "I m sorry for your inconvenience sir" would have made a big difference.”
“Terrible experience and unprofessional staff.
When I placed my online order all the items were available. But the same day when the delivery supposed to come, I received an email saying that most of the items I ordered were not available and there was no way to replace them with something else.
I called the costumer service and I did not receive any help. What's the point to order online if you do not have anything to sell?
I've been very disappointed and I definitely won't order with Asda anymore.”
“f there was a 0 star I would put that! For the 2nd time they have cancelled my delivery (on the day) I am extremely vulnerable and cannot go out. Customer services couldn't care less. My daughter rang them and they don't care. Next delivery date is 10 days time - do I starve til then!! I will not be using them again! I am absolutely disgusted with the attitude”
“About an order click and collect, could not check in online ,spend 10 minutes had to download an app still couldn’t check in, after another 10 good minutes, Had to speak to the lady after she check me in, was late to go work, the date before received email that there was no ktc vegetable oil. Guess what I went inside the shop and there was lots of both ktc vegetable and ktc sunflower. But they charge me the day before me collecting the order, why not making sure that all the item is there on the day. And charge only for the item that available. Why charging the full price, then email to said item unavailable. For return had to call customer service, the lady said we didn’t charge you for the item, I ask her if I could send her a screen shot of my statement to show her after she said that the refund will be in my account tomorrow. Would not order again there.”
“I ordered 5 fragile Xmas tree decorations of which was delivered in a very large box with no proper packages to protect them just a tiny strip of bubble wrap not even big enough to wrap round one Xmas tree decorations, so I had two broken woody toy story , one broken Spider-Man so disappointed, yes I called and was told sorry out of stock now and was refunded. Shame you don’t know how to pack these things properly I just can’t believe you put fragile Xmas tree decorations in a large box to roll around getting broken rediculous !! Not ordering from Asda again”
“i HAD A DELIVERY SCEDULED FOR 10-11 AM . I RECEIVED AN EMAIL SAYING THE DRIVER WOULD BE ARRIVING AT 9.36 BUT WOULD WAIT TILL THE TIME WINDOW. I SET MY ALARM FOR 9.55 AM AS i ONLY FINISHED WORK AT 4 AM. THE DRIVER DID NOT KNOCK OR RING ME HENCE NO DELIVERY AND NO FOOD. SHAME ON YOU ASDA.”
“i cancelled my order received email saying cancelled but asda took money from my account 2 days later even tho order cancelled, their customer services abroad are useless, was on the phone for over 2 hours, i am on their vulnerable list but they treat people this way now left with no money over the weekend, i cannot trust them to get anything right and will now shop elsewhere absolutely terrible service and thieves. avoid at all cost.....”
“Still waiting for the store to get back to me about my order it was due yesterday and I had a call yesterday before two o’clock yesterday and was promised a call but nothing heard and no call today yet and you can not call the store my order number is 22487900216”
“Delivery asda do not listen to complaints. The do not substitute products as required. If they do the eg. Substitute a cucumber for a lettuce.
This is my experience of asda Eastbourne. Frankly they don't give a dam or even call you back to discuss”
“I am not impressed with your customer service you called me before two o’clock today and said that there was a issue with the vans and you asked me if I could come and collect the order I told you I could not as no one can drive in our house for medical reasons,so you said you would call me back to let me know what is happening and when I am going to get my order and you have still not got in touch with me and because of your new system I can not call the store at all my store is Asda Filton I am not impressed with the customer service please call me tonight we are three vulnerable customers and I am a carer for two people In my house and my husband is high risk”
“Ignorant manager Linda who i was told by that my behaviour was intimidating when i was querying why we weren't allowed to purchase fireworks if one of us didn't present ID when I visited this store with my brother; dismissive of the query I was making behind Asdas poor policy logic. Very condescending when we left the store as she waved goodbye with an attitude problem. Male security officer with shoulder length hair and woman at kiosk also both unprofessional and obnoxious. Kiosk woman patronising us about presenting id, speaking to us like we were children, telling us "Of course you have ID(!)" and security on duty giving his input that we were wasting our breath when we asked to speak to a manager and then telling me to calm down when I told him his opinion wasn't what I asked for. Very aggressive tone and body language, acting as if he was protecting Beyoncé on her world tour! Rude unfriendly staff overall. Never returning again!!!
Also, manager Linda quick to make out as if we were intimidating when she herself was behaving rude and playing very tactful games rather than resolving the problem at hand! Shocking behaviour and poorly trained staff.”
“MY BIKE STOLEN at OLD KENT ROAD ASDA! Never expect this happen to me. I chained my bike at the parking area and 30 minutes later the chain cut off my bike gone. There’s no CCTV at the parking area, all video surveillance only for thieve and steals in store (you can imagine it’s the poorest area in London). And the security guys don’t look after parking area at all. I left my bike exactly where ASAD recommends me,but the duty manager contemptuously told me it’s my own risk. SHAME! Real respectful and trustworthy businesses like Waitrose suffers in this great country while ASDA expanding its business and don’t care about the society at all. Totally BAD SHOPS DRIVE OUT GOOD SHOPS.”
“Went in to Asda perrybarr rude staff security man Asian with a beard just standing around chatting to a small Asian girl I asked them for help but she rudely told me that she was speaking and couldn’t help me and that u had to wait to be served at the customer service desk she really needs to learn customer skills if they want to flirt they should do it in there own time not in work time will not be shopping in store again Untill the issue is sorted you”
“Placed an order to be delivered on October 3rd, which I then cancelled, the order was delivered anyway which I refused, I immediately called, as Asda had taken the money out of my account, I was reassured a refund would be processed. I called again on the 7th as I still had not received my refund, again I was assured that this will now be processed as It was not requested previously, I was told I would receive a confirmation e-mail and refunded within 4-5 days. On the 16th still nothing, called again only to be told the same thing. I called 4 times on the 23rd as I kept being told the system was down and again reassured that this has now been escalated. Asda have now had my money for 3 weeks, it is the worst customer service I have ever received I dread calling them, as they say that they will action Something But actually don’t, they just seem to want to get you off the phone. When I asked to speak with a manager I was transferred to payroll who could not help me, does anyone have any suggestions of where I go from here please.”
“Awful, 75% of the order missing but only informed when it is too late to cancel. Not refunded for days so can’t even do an do the shop in store. Ridiculous system, never have any of these issues when ordering from another supermarket.”
“Well I have been going to Asda in Ashton Manchester every Thursday now so far this year and so far in the last few months and in the last 3 weeks recently I’ve been treated absolutely atrociously. Not only that but I cannot even complain about it because there are conveniently no ways to get in touch! Tried calling the number but it tells me to contact them on the website. I go on the website and it tells me to ring their number! It’s a joke!
Anyway
Here’s what happened specifically. The last story is the worst one of all.
A women cut in front of me in a queue. I let it go but the woman started an argument with me. When staff came they refused to let me have my groceries because they sided with the woman over me even though she was at fault.
I got a pizza slice from the cafe and it was instantly cold because the woman serving me left it out in the cold air whilst continuing to serve me and I was having problems with my fathers credit card to pay. When I asked for a new one or for it to be heated up she actively blamed me for why it went cold. She said it’s because I kept walking away and back again. That was because I had to go get another card in order to pay and you left it out whilst I did so moron!
Then when another woman called Jane came with the rest of our food she openly chastised me for not saying please and thank you as if I were a child! It spoiled my day.
Too many kids screaming and banging the booths in the cafe.
But these were mild in comparison to the final offence. All of this happened 3 Thursdays in a row that I went there.
Today I was there to pick up my very important inhaler from the chemist which i has ran out of and could barely breathe.
One of the chemist staff named Tim mason had taken a dislike to me months ago and it was because of this that the entire staff refused to serve me and told me I had to go get it from somewhere else. So I went mad because now I’d have to spend more money on a taxi and inconvenience myself to go all the way across town to the next nearest pharmacy in concord way when they could’ve just handed me the darn bag right there and then! As you can imagine I was furious! I did write a letter of complaint but have nowhere to post it. Abysmal service.
As you can imagine I shall not be stepping foot nor spending another dime in that terrible store”
“Today I did a click and collect at the Asda store at Horwich Bolton. I feel that I must express my concern at the service I received as I did this due to the fact that I am in my 70s and as i am vulnerable, i am being extremely careful with shopping during Covid 19. My slot was between 4 and 5 and I arrived at 4.05. I was told to wait in the doorway which would have been fine had my order been available to take to my car. However, it wasn't and I waited 15 minutes during which time a flow of people walked past me putting me in a very precarious position. I would have had less contact had I shopped in store. This completely defeated the object of doing click and collect. Surely it would make more sense to have dedicated parking spots close to the store entrance so that staff can bring it out to your car. This would avoid unnecessary contact with both staff and the general public. When I expressed my concern I was told that only 1 customer at a time could be dealt with. Fair enough, I was in no hurry but don't put me at risk by making me stand where every customer exiting the store has to pass me! Its a free service I know but on this occasion I really should have shopped in store so that I could avoid all customers who were in my vicinity. I would rename this 'service click, wait and collect.' It needs revamping drastically as it is currently not as described and I for 1 will not be using it again.”
“Non existent customer service. Cancelled online order but couldn’t be bothered telling us. We phoned them but they said order would come later(it didn’t) Phoned next day and was told we’d get an email to reschedule (we didn’t). Find out eventually that Asda cancelled the order without even contacting us despite them being aware I’m on the vulnerable list.”
