I've just received my home delivery order half hour ahead of schedule. I received the text message 10 minutes after the driver left saying they were running ahead of schedule! My housemate works night's so whenever I order online shopping I generally tend to be as quiet as possible when taking in said delivery. The driver was quite abrupt with him and really wasn't very helpful, other supermarkets offer to take the bags out of the baskets and drop them just inside the hallway. I chose not to accept substitutions as generally they can be quite poor, but I find it hard to believe that toilet roll can be out of stock! Plus other general items that I'd ordered which weren't particularly specialist! I haven't used asda home delivery for some years and now I know why, the service is generally slap dash and a little rude and abrupt. I won't be using asda again.

After submitting and paid for order online, invoice shows paid for 10 bags, as a stauch recycler, called customer service, told there's an option to click NO to bags, as default is YES, illegal in any financial transaction anyway! Then during pickup, had to key in 10 digit order number AND your FULL date of birth on an upright hugh monitor in full view of everyone else in the queue behind! should be popular to "certain" customers! Complete order is kept in several lockers and you must access lockers according to the sequence given, once doors locked, it won't open again, plus doors are annoyingly self closing. Therefore imagine, you're outside in natural elements albeit an overhead shelter, trying to keep the locker door open with your body, no table about, trying to empty your shopping into your own bag/s, take the full bag/s to your car boot then moving onto the next locker!!! If you forget the next locker number, you've got to go back to the monitor screen! On the other hand, imagine if you're waiting for someone in front of you following the above charade to empty their shopping from the various lockers as the monitor screen can only process ONE customer at a time! As others in the queue is waiting, all watching you perform your charade, you wouldn't dare checking your shopping items to your invoice during pick up, so on returning home, on checking, realised one egg broken, one tube of vitamin C missing and instead of haddock, I was given white fish! Yes, the monitor did provide you the option to return unwanted, presumably substituted items, but as you're not able to check during pick up, that option is nullified. So I called customer service again, admit she was cordial and agreed to refund all concerned items, however I was told that my account will now be "checked from time to time" ????? Whats this all about? I was again told, there is an option to click NO to substitution, as again default is YES, which again is illegal in a transaction which is paid for in advance anyway. On both these options (carrier bags and substitution) I failed to notice both these options during check out. Overall a good idea for those who like me despise shopping thus the two stars, but certainly needs improving e.g. why not a PIN instead of having to key in a 10 digit order number AND date of birth for each pick up as it would be easier to remember and speeds up the queue at the monitor. Otherwise, it would definately be a deterrent for the matured, badly sighted and the vain plus the holdup in the queue waiting to access the monitor defeats of the benefits as it's now a Click and Memory keyboard test, juggling door whilst empty contents AND navigate between car and locker feat ..

Ordered George curtains, 1st lot went missing, made a 12 ml wasted trip, to be told lost in transit. Difficult time with hard to comprehend customer service staff. Ordered again, this time arrived after a few days. Collected from Asda Queensferry waited 10 mins at unmanned desk. Have since read a few reviews, oh dear!!!

They didn't it was a in-store purchase today, the lady at the check out scanned a doll I was buying, so she scanned it and she says to me ya do know this is £7.50 don't you? I found that highly embarrassing there was other people behind me making comment saying that was rude. I have had several complaints about the store and the staff in it and all a get is sorry email.

Ordered food shopping to be delivered the following day due to being signed off work for a week due to a bad bad and having a 5 year old to feed. They called me the morning of the delivery to tell me that two delivery drivers had called In sick so I would have to go and pick up the shopping myself. Upon me explaining that I could not collect (hence the reason for doing it online in the first place) I was told that the order could be cancelled and done again or I would have to contact customer services to rectify the problem and possibly have it delivered in a few days time! Slight redemption from Asda as when I called the manager he offered a gift voucher although my partner has to go out of area at 9pm after work to get our food shopping. Not happy.

Bought Extra special chicken with leeks and pancetta as part of £10 meal deal. Pathetic portions, half a small chicken breast each. Know there's no real profit in it for Asda here but REALLY! Don't bother offering the deal at all if you can't provide an adult portion. Been shopping at ASDA for many years but prices rising a lot. Lidl and Aldi close by....

I love Asda it’s my go to shop however I am incredibly disappointed that the Asda in Lower Earley have changed their closing times and are now no longer open 24 hours. As a teacher I was often searching the isles at 3/4am looking for last minute supplies for my lessons. Bring back 24hrs!!!

Delivery driver was not very helpful, just standing around playing with his mobile phone while I unpacked the heavy loads. He Was not wearing an Asda uniform to show he actually works for them. He could have anyone off the street?? Don't Asda management check to make sure their staff are dressed appropriately? I used to work at Asda back in the 1990s, they were way more business like back then. They even sent you home if you aren't in uniform. How times have changed, they used to be renowned for their customer service and professionalism, not anymore it seems? such a shame

Delivery never showed up, despite text messaging to say it was on it's way. I am diabetic and housebound and rely on companies to deliver when they say they will. A family member had to go out their working day to go collect it in store. I am often disappointed with substitutions or items unavailable in my online orders from them.

Be careful with the discrepancies between tag price and actual price you pay in Asda Hallroad store in Norwich. I, several times, noted price discrepancies over the course of several months and was often refunded the difference. However, last time customer service did not even bother to pay the difference despite my receipt. It is not a very pleasant experience when you feel you have to always monitor the price you pay vs. price exhibited on the shelf.

Although i am extremely happy with shopping at Asda normally, friendly staff etc, I cannot believe that when I took a £2.00 bunch of roses to the till with my shopping, the assistant could not sell them to me as there was not a sell by date on them! I was not going to eat them! So, they were most likely going to be thrown away, what a waste.

Did and online shop yesterday around midday to be delivered today 12.30-1.30 slot, I get a text this morning 10.06am saying my order had been cancelled, I called to sort problem and had two options one click and collect from the store furthest away from me or delivery at a late slot tomorrow afternoon. If they had got in touch with me a lot sooner it could have been sorted and why when o called straight away was my time slot for today not available. Very cross to say the least. Poor customer service for someone who regularly shops in store and uses online shopping.

Asda does NOT uphold their Try Me Love me or we'll will refund and replace if not 100% happy, promise In our quest to recycle, we decided to get a salt grinder from Asda and it worked so well, few weeks later, when I was next in Asda, I got the same grinder but for pepper to make it a set. When the salt grinder was nearly empty, we got refill and tried to lift the top off the grinder. The thread on the glass jar shows the grinding mechanism is slotted on so it should just unslot but it just won't budge. We rang Asda's 0800 number and spoke to Joseph who seems to be reading from something and repeated back to us as to how to unslot the top. The grinding top would only turn so much but not enough to come off. We tried the new pepper grinder, same applies, it's top won't unslot either. Eventually Joseph advise us to bring it back to the store. At Asda Marina, Brighton, where we bought the items, the customer service lady kept repeating "what do I expect her to do about it" as I'm trying to explain the situation. Finally out of exasperation, even though we liked the item, I eventually said, since it won't unslot and we cannot refill it, we're not happy with the item so we're exercising Asda's Try Me, Love me promise i.e. to refund and replace. She went away, came back to say her team leader confirms Joseph on their 0800 helpline is wrong as these are non refillable grinders, even though its not mentioned on the label or shelf at all, but out of good faith, will agree to refund and replace the salt grinder. I asked for the refund to be donated to their charity box. But she won't refund and replace the pepper grinder! She will only refund if I return the pepper grinder as it's still unused or I keep the pepper grinder with no refund. I told her we're not keeping the pepper grinder as it's not refillable and therefore it's a sinful waste to our environment to have a throwaway grinder. We were definately NOT happy with the pepper grinder yet Asda refuses to uphold their Try Me Love Me promise, to refund and replace if not 100% happy. Finally the team leader appeared and her final suggestion is if I buy a set of refillable grinders from Asda, she will give us a pepper refill! The cheapest set of Asda grinder is £6. You do the maths plus she seems to have missed the point. Instead of wasting more time with Asda, we're shopping elsewhere.

Toilets at both Bangor and Llandudno were disgusting. The stench was awful, and makes me wonder how often they are monitored. My advise, use Toilet facilities elsewhere before you visit Adds!!
