“I have shopped with Cotton traders for years, no problems until I tried to return goods this time. Suffice to say I still have the goods and Hermes have two lots of 2.95 for NOT collecting goods. Cotton traders say not their problem. Well they choose to use Hermes as their carrier so it should be their problem. After so many years I doubt I will use them again. Customer diservice rules apparently”

“Tried to order an item on web page and got stuck on 'order and review' - tried THREE times from scratch and this happened. I then tried to order item by telephone and but they said they couldn't arrange Hermes deliveryshop option over the phone! Spent the best part of 30 minutes doing all this. Complete waste of time.”

“I ordered two pairs of jeans they were too small so sent back and charged £2:95 for the pleasure of trying something on then if I re ordered I would also be charged a fee of £3:99 for delivery. Also I now have to wait 7 to 10 days for my refund, But they took my payment quickly enough but I have to wait to be reimbursed, COTTON RIP OFF MERCHANTS I will not be back thats a certainty there are plenty of companies who appreciate your custom out there try them.”

“FAR FAR FAR TO BIG, I HAVE A BEACH POLO DRESS THE SAME LENGTH!!!!!!!! THIS IS THE SECOND TIME I HAVE HAD TO RETURN ITEMS AT MY OWN COST ONLY BECAUSE OF SIZING SAME AS YOUR OTHER CLIENTS I WILL NEVER USE YOU YOUR COMPANY AGAIN!!!!!! I ONLY NEED COLOURED POLO SHIRT COME ON GUYS GET A GRIP MORE THAN HAPPY TO TALK TO ANY OF YOUR STAFF/MANAGERS”

“Ordered 3 pairs trousers 19th March, now told might not be here until 26th March, put a man on the moon 60 years ago in less time than it takes to get 3 pairs from Altringham to Leeds!!! Never again, really poor service,”

“I ordered a pair of jeans but had to return as the jeans were too big and also made with bad quality material. They were reduced from £26 to £16 so I would have expected better quality. I not only had to pay £3.99 delivery charge but also £2.95 for returns. £6.94 in all -what a rip off! Never again will I buy from Cotton Traders.”

“excellent service and products which last for ages (years some of them :) ) thus making them very good value. The only reason I haven't given 5 stars is the excessive amount of catalogues and info sent out by post. Sometimes it is almost daily and it all comes in PLASTIC.”

“Have used C.T. for a good few years. Everything seems to be ok. Tried to cancel a order this morning (goods not yet dispatched). Order can't be a cancelled. WHY NOT. This afternoon received a email goods have been dispatched. I have to pay to send them back (from Ireland). Not happy. Don't think I will use them again.”

“Have used C.T. for a number of years now without any problems until now. Ordered a pair of jeans, 34inch waist, was sent a 32'' Phoned and was told they were out of 34'' Checked the web site and found my size was in stock Disappointed in C.T.”

“Not a good experience they charge you to return the items and they charge you when they send the items and deduct this from any refund lost 8 pounds on the £50 coat not good cotton traders you must try harder will never use you again”

“I ordered a top for my son in law. I saw that there was 20 % off and free delivery. I did not see ( in teeny writing) that this was for orders over £35. Throughout the checkout process the website showed that the discount code was applied. After paying I realised it wasn't. I rang the customer service dept straightaway at 7 pm and was told to ring back in a couple of hours , to give my order chance to come on the system. When I asked what time they closed they said 8 pm! So I rang back at 7.50 and got a message saying there were technical problems that the engineers were trying to fix and to try again another time. So, I sent an email and got an answer back saying that I needed to spend over £35. So, I sent an email asking for my money back and to cancel my order as I found their website misleading. I got another emails saying sorry, this couldn't be done and they hope I will be happy with my purchase when I get it. Phew! This has become a chore...terrible customer service . I made a mistake by not noticing the £35 rule but they do not care. Take the money and run is their philosophy. I have shopped on line but more often in their local shop. I will never buy anything from them again.”

“This company provides the worst online service I have ever used. In the last month I have made two separate orders which I had to return because the sizes were far too large. I am still awaiting the refund after 10 days. DREADFUL”

“Good service, clothes could last longer as after 10 washes tend to disintegrate especially the jeans but I use them for work. Need a high end clothes & shoes & to pay more. Would be good to buy British!”
