I opened the case and elevated it per Etsy rules, but Etsy just closed the case. Period. There is no phone number or email to reach customer service.”
“Ordered an item for £300 late November with the promise of dispatch within a few days. Xmas came and went with multiple emails sent to the seller but had no reply’s. Had to by another Xmas gift and still out of pocket for the £300 now in early jan. I have escalated my complaint to Etsy for mediation and they’ve not bothered to respond either a week later. No matter how cheap it is DO NOT USE THIS WEBSITE - TERRIBLE!!!!”

I am not sure how the hell they got 5 stars the products I received were way over priced and the advertise picture of the products seems to be photoshoped as the products received did not look same as what is advertised. “I was a seller. Etsy customers lie about products received and Etsy forces the refund then the buyer has no obligation to return the item. If you try to get help, etsy will give you the run around. If I didn't know how damaging it is to sellers, I would go buy a lot of stuff and then lie and say the seller sent the wrong item, get a refund and never return the item. What's even worse they closed my dispute on their website before the dispute on PayPal was over and prevented me from pursuing this matter any further. On my emails they would just reply "how sorry they are, but can offer me a 50$ voucher on my next purchase". So all together they ripped me of for 200$ but offered me 50 back. What a nerv. I try to make my prices reasonable for people because the unemployment rate is at an all time high and unlike most things on etsy, I wanted to make the prices affordable to everyone but still make a good profit. I bought a music box for my now ex back in Christmas. the craft of the box was good but there are whole in the lid that the merchant could of filled with wood putty. the sound quality was garbage, they used a sound card like the ones in birthday cards not the metal cylinder. I emailed her for a refund and she replied no refunds sorry. The item was expensive to and for the quality it's pretty crappy.”

When I got the music box the craft was good but there were holes in the lid that they could of filled with wood putty but left them, that's hack work right there. The music device that they put in there wasn't what you usually see in a music box no metal cylinder. It was just a crappy sound card that she save it on to. The same thing you find in those birthday cards that make music. I emailed her and she said sorry no refunds even though her page said refunds.”
