I purchased some stir fry beef strips that stated 10-15 mins. We could not even chew it, all we were left with, on the sides of our plates were chewed gristle pieces. I am absolutely disgusted and very disappointed. All that we could eat were the vegetables and sauce as it should have been a lovely beef stroganoff.

I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding persistent and unresolved issues with my recent grocery deliveries from the Stepney branch. As a paying customer and a parent of vulnerable children with special dietary needs, I have been left deeply frustrated and disappointed by the continued poor service and lack of accountability. 1. Missing Items – Order Value £139 On 28th June 2025, I received a delivery with 15 items missing, including essential goods such as bottles of water and food items I had carefully selected to cater for my children. I called the stall directly and was initially told by a gentleman that he had spoken to the delivery staff, who claimed I had received the waters. However, I only received 9 out of 10 bottles, and several other types of water were missing entirely, along with the bulk of my shopping. The only item they acknowledged was the water despite several items being reported missing. It is unclear why that was the only item referenced, and the rest of my missing goods were dismissed. This feels like a deliberate avoidance of responsibility. 2. Satursday Delayed Delivery – promiser Sunday Delivery Received but received on Monday. The delivery that was scheduled for Sunday was not received until Monday, with no prior notice or update and I wasnt home. The delivery simply turned up without warning. After the previous incident, I was understandably hesitant. I told the delivery driver, through the Ring doorbell, to leave the shopping outside, and I would deal with it which he did, placing it in a pram outside. 3. Ongoing Failures – Missed Delivery on July 5th This week again, on 5th July, I booked a delivery slot from 11:30am to 1:30pm, got up early to prepare and book slot, and as of 3pm, I am still waiting. I was told the shopping was “left in the warehouse” – a completely unacceptable explanation when I have paid for the items and secured a delivery slot in advance. 4. Impact on My Household I care for children with autism, and meal preparation has to be planned meticulously around their needs. Missing or delayed shopping causes extreme distress to my household. It is not just inconvenient – it’s harmful to my family’s well-being. These repeated failures are neglectful and unacceptable. 5. Concerns About Store Standards and Accountability Your customer service has been ineffective and unhelpful, with no clear escalation process or assurance that complaints are investigated properly. Customers deserve to know that: Complaints are logged and reviewed Staff are being held accountable Training is being provided where necessary Changes are being made to avoid repeated failings It is unclear if anything is being done behind the scenes, and from my experience, it feels like nothing changes. Staff clearly need training in product selection (e.g., sell-by dates), delivery handling, and customer care. Request for Immediate Action 1. Customer should get fast transaction to money in account when items are missing as the customer may not have the funding to shop anywhere else. 2. An investigation into why delivery was not fulfilled. 3. A written explanation to customer outlining what steps are being taken at the Stepney store to: Improve picking accuracy Prevent missed slots Address poor customer service 4. The option to select a different branch for deliveries going forward, given the continued failings at Stepney.

My advice to the manager of Iceland is to try the food his stores are selling. ESPECIALLY the pork ribs all flavours 3 for £10. Very poor quality tough, no meat just gristle. Not happy.

I visited an Iceland store in my town as I had seen something advertised online so thought I would try it. I don’t know where to start. The concrete floor is awful, looks like it hasn’t been cleaned a in very long time, the lighting is abysmal, too dark, the length of fridges make for very, very, long aisles just to get to the one you want. There was a large container of milk lying on the floor in the corner, there were bits of veg on the floor and every piece of fruit and veg for sale. was all I mean all in plastic bags. I don’t buy fruit in bags, it’s not very conducive to the fruit being fresh. The item I wanted was hidden away at the back of one of the fridges and was bashed about a bit. The place was gloomy so that I couldn’t wait to get out, awful dark and friendless place. There wasn’t one customer the whole time I was there.

The bulk of my order was missing and I was asked by the delivery person to be speaking with managers or call customer service myself in the morning as if it was my error to solve All I wanted was a refund which I had to repeat like a broken record but no, apparently I needed to solve it myself on top of not having had my delivery Horrible service

Iceland delivery, items always replacing with cheaper items when not in stock, Don’t buy any item that is fresh always only have 1or2 before its out of date, this isn’t a one time thing, 9/10 happens, once I had bacon was out of date on delivery with a yellow sticker reduced, Iceland need to look at there process and training for there pickers, it’s not there though this is what they have been trained by the duty manager,

Was expecting a delivery last night between 7-9pm, kept checking tracking then said delivered, but no show, obviously annnoyed as customer services shuts 6pm and considering deliveries can be up to 10pm I think it’s bad you can’t contact till next morning!! Saying that I spoke to Aiden at customer services 8am next day and received a text saying Ethan will be delivering before 10am which he did and both Aiden and Ethan were absolutely helpful and charming so they are definitely a good asset to the company, just hope Iceland can keep on working on their faults

I have been using Iceland for my shopping for a about 12 months and I have found them very reasonably priced, lots of choices, 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Gary was my driver who delivered my groceries today and he is very friendly and professional the only thing I would say they don’t substitute your item if it’s not available just refund you , so that can be a pain apart from that highly recommend

I have always bought the luxury range of ready meals and thought they were good quality. Recently, the quality has seriously deteriorated. Items containing meat are full of gristle and fat, especially the beef. The chicken dishes are tough and taste of nothing. I won't be shopping in the store in future.

Even though my shopping was ment to be delivered yesterday but didn't arrive till today and all the frozen item were defrosted. I am still giving 5 stars based on the fact when I finally got through to my local store at Selsdon South Croydon. I spoke to a lady who was so apologetic she explained the driver had an accident. Assured me my shopping would arrive by 12 today and it did . I called back to say that my frozen food was defrosted and straight away without any excuses arranged a new lot of frozen items to be delivered later today.

The store is great, we have had some excellent meals from Iceland with lots of choice, however the staff at the Blaydon branch Tyne and Wear are miserable and rude (not all of them ) just the older woman on the till. I had a problem with my bonus card and she told me 3 times to call customer support I am a pensioner but I do not need anyone to repeat instructions I get it first time. I will never use my card again the store or go to the till with her on it.

I'm not sure why the star reviews are so low. I've never been anything other than 100% happy with every aspect of Iceland. Good choice at great prices. Stores well stocked. Personable staff in store. Great delivery slots with the best delivery drivers I've experienced.

I had a order delivery with only few items. Could not provide meals for my children I was relying on my shopping to then be told it has to be investigating like I'm lieing! I also got given someone else's item that I never even ordered. I have been treated like a liar and very unfairly.
