Got my first £2 voucher with the Lidl Plus app, but it disappeared after only a couple of days. Emailed Lidl and they asked for a load more details, which I sent and voucher was reinstated though I didn't get any apology or explanation as to what had happened. I now had 2 x £2 vouchers and a £1 scratchcard "win" on the Ap. Bought about £50 of shopping and the App didn't work....apparently it was my network provider (please note here that Aldi have internet instore). As all three vouchers were due to run out and I was passing lidl the next day I "popped in" to spend my vouchers, picked up 4 x £1.25 bottles of beer, queued to make the purchase, explained what had happened the previous day and that I just wanted to use the vouchers before they expired. Shop assistant said "Well for a start you cant use them on alcohol" (regardless of the fact that I had done a shop the previous day and still had the receipt with me). Determined to use my £5 I then went and picked up some pet supplies, queued again at a different till and tried to activate the vouchers, which I couldn't do. "you can only use one voucher per shop" I was told "Ahah" says I, "I will split my shop and make three separate purchases". "Yes you can do that but it might be a bit complicated, so I will get someone else to help you" So the saga came to an end and I eventually managed to use my vouchers, but what kind of "Loyalty Scheme" gives you the run around like this....all for the sake of a couple of quid? It's like Lidl, don't want you to use it. Note to Lidl...If you are going to have a "Customer Loyalty" scheme then at least make sure it is not difficult to use and that the customers aren't embarrassed by your store staff when they do try to use it. I am lucky, where I live the Lidl is only a couple of hundred metres from Aldi, so I think I know where I'll be doing the bulk of my shopping from now on, and judging by the pre-Christmas footfall in each shop I am not alone in my decision.

Their website advertised Ben Bracken whisky for £16.49. It was priced at £17.49 in store when I bought it (though it has since been reduced by £1.) When I complained to Customer Service , they were not very interested and offered NO refund. Absolutely appalling "customer service".

I cooked some fish from Lidl, when we started to eat it it was very obviously rotten. I contacted customer service because it is important sub standard food is looked into. I never heard back for 10 days despite a promise of response in 48 hours. So I called, I have gastric cancer and rotten food is very dangerous for me. Customer service could see there was a complaint ref number but in 10 days it had not been acted on. Also he said “your name is not in the complaint” this was rubbish as when I looked the acknowledgement was addressed to me by name. As if this was an excuse. Lidl obviously do not take food safety seriously. And lack concern for the customer. Cheap food is not the best. With my gastric cancer I could easily have ended up in hospital if I had continued to eat the fish. But no one should be sold rotten fish. To be scuppered by Lidl rotten fish after avoiding covid for 10 months would have been disgraceful.

I used a sun £10 off £40 spend I was over but because I had a 75p coupon on my card I did not get the £10 off I was told it had gone through to find out when home it had not plus they kept the voucher so will claim it back I rang to complain but was told they could not get through to store which when I left was not busy I find that the customer service can not do anything to help so pointless and I spent well over £50 in total very disappointed! A quarter of the food was for my local food bank as my good deed for Xmas even though I have been on furlough since March and it not great time to be on short wage I want to do somthing good !! One very disappointed person !

I’m voting with my feet and shopping elsewhere. I have been a loyal customer for decades but since ‘Lidl Plus’ started I have been ‘robbed’ of at least £15 in lost coupons I have earned which would not scan at the tills. Checkout staff tell me “ it’s nothing to do with us, you’ll have to contact Lidl Plus directly yourself ‼️‼️‼️

The lidl app is a total rip. When you manage to spend over the target amount (£100 or £200) in any monthly period and receive a £2 or £10 coupon you can only redeem it at the next shop. Invariably by the time you get the voucher you have just a matter of days left to go shopping again before it becomes inactive, thereby forcing you into shopping early. This is a cynical, unfriendly and self serving product by Lidl.

Went to Lidl Mablethorpe, no trolley cleaning station, no hand sanitizer station no one cleaning down the self service tills, empty shelves, only two checkouts working with long queues, staff trying to fill shelves blocking the aisles, no social distancing. Seems like lidl are treating the pandemic as some sort of joke. Will not be shopping there again I will travel the extra miles to Aldi

Sadly I had an issue with a product (a box with mouldy product in) I contacted Lidl and recieved a standard we'll get back to you. That was a month ago. Calling LIdl simply doesn't work as their phone line says we are experiencing high demand and cuts you off or leaves you hanging on average for 18 minutes at which point I simply hang up. I have now sent three email all of which have been ignored. My advice is don't bother calling Customer Services as they don't give you any. I'm not sure why they bother with the pretence in their adverts of caring about their customers. Once they have your money they have no interest in you. It is sad because they are a good shop. They just don't have any Customer service. Once you accept that its best to find a shop that actually helps its regular customers.

Be careful with those dodgy vouchers, I was issued a £10 off after spending over £200 in Nov only to find they took it back before the expiry date. I needed to return an item and used the card so that they were not out of pocket as the return item had been discounted with a £2 off voucher mid month, I purchased a few other items which amounted to around £7. The manager of the store assured me the £10 was safe as value of goods were below £10. I actually asked him at the check out. I had planned to use the voucher for my weekly shop (before expiry) but they decided to whip it back after the £7 spend. Having contacted customer services and waited 48 hours for written reply they have just brushed me off! So beware....messing with people's lives, just not on! Going from elation at winning to feeling very disappointed with the outcome. May consider moving my custom elsewhere.

Three purchases failed in one week, was told the battery for portable vacuum was not covered and would cost the price of the whole unit, the PIR lights were in a dangerous condition. Customer services did not even reply. On my last visit to Lidl's it was so overcrowded I left, this is how they acted in a lock down! Lidl was my favourite shop now it is a nightmare.

The new Lidl Plus coupon / discount scheme is only available to people who can afford Smart Mobile Phones! The “poorer” people who can’t afford the phones and who are in the income group that would benefit most from the scheme are eliminated from it!

The toilet at Lidl in Romford (near the high street/gym) was horrible. Dirty everywhere as if hasn't been cleaned for the whole month. Good customer service. Poor cleaness. I cant imagine the state of the kitchen where that bakary is being baked.

Lidl at first was not to bad, was able to talk to staff in swansea store, but during the last few month their store has been a pain to shop at, due to a member of staff having personal issues while I shop there, I made complaint to Lidl to how their staff treated me and now every visit can be on edge, they look, watch and talk to each other through their microphone, leting everyone know you made a complaint about one of their staff members so customer service has gone down hill when I shop there now, they are now rude towards me, but seem fine to others, this shows that they dont respect me shopping there.

been cheated and overcharged yet again. went to kelso store yesterday and bought 4 items . including some milk which was set at a reduced price. after arriving home from a 10-mile bus trip, I noticed on my receipt I had been charged full price for the milk, I normally check my receipt before leaving shops but was in a hurry for the bus. this has happened at this store before and they don seem to take the inconvenience of having to return to the store for a refund seriously enough, and put it down as a little mistake, but because they're not taking the care at the till to scan the correct bar code, id say its more like reckless carelessness, cheating and misleading customers, and against trading Standards legislation. will be keeping the unused milk that clearly shows the reduced price and the receipt as proof . im fed up of getting cheated at this store. beware and always make sure they give you a receipt and check it before you leave, or Report to Trading Standards. any overcharging is classed as misleading and against trading Standards legislation.

Bought a toaster 1st September 2019 in Lidl. On 25th August 2020 when just under a year old it was faulty and not working. It had a 3 year warranty. Have e mailed many times with no response, then when I did get a reply they wanted my receipt which I sent a copy but still heard nothing. Phoned customer service and after holding on phone for 25 mins to speak to someone they said they would send me a letter to take with toaster to the shop to get a refund. Letter never came. Have e mailed many more times but am getting nowhere. I have even sent a letter to head office by signed delivery but they have not answered. LIDL ON PRICE , LIDL ON CUSTOMER SERVICE. What more can I do to get refund! Will not be purchasing anything else from them.
