“To whom it may concern, Head Office, CEO, please can you listen to customers and (staff) and get rid of the manager Beth Grundy please, she doesn't speak nice to people at all, never lifts a finger to assist customers or staff, always has some food in her mouth when standing around chatting about her holidays and how she doesn't have to pay for anything, while your hard working shop floor workers work and scrimp and save, also she is very scarey looking, one child nearly burst into tears because he thought she was Mrs Trunchball from Matilda and had wonky eyes š you need to do something now Lidl she is getting to many complaints, get rid of her, if she doesn't need the money, then employ someone who does!!”
“To whom at me concern
I wish to complain the way I was treated by your security company at my localā riverford road store in Glasgow
The facts are as followed
On 1 novā I was shopping in the store above When was approached by a man in a black jacket who told me he was a security guardā I asked him to show me his badge he told me did not need to show me hisā badgeā He told me He wanted to search my bag I told him to get the manager of the store The manager of the store also told him to show his badge he replied he did not need to show anybody has badge
I let the manager of the storeā See the contents in my bag which was a pair ofā Training shoes that I purchase that day
I told the manager I was going to phone their head office and complain about this security guardā Meanwhile he followed me round the store he was rude and very aggressive towards me
Your office in Scotland took the details of my complaint butā where no help at all ie not returning calls especially from belinda mackinnon who i spoke to i was send a Ā£5 gift voucherā Which doesn't even cover the taxi journey that gets me to your store Terrible way to treat a 60 disabled OAPā At the end of the day why is lidlā hiring thugs to patrol their storesā Look forward to your reply ASAPā I contacted the security company but was given the run a round by them ps only wish i could leave no stars

“For Christmas I bought a frozen prepared goose parcel with stuffing of orange and berrries.
I followed the cooking instructions but it was tough!
I also bought a quiche of chorizo and red pepper and that tasted vile.
I thought that both looked good on the packs and sounded tasty but the reality wasnāt.
I wonāt buy from Lidl again.”
“I was unfortunate enough to purchase a PFBS 12 B3 Multitool in Jan 2020 from Lidl's. A previous tool had been okay (and is actually still going) but although it has been rarely and lightly used this tool suffered a catastrophic failure of the tension cap recently causing the cap, collet and tool to fly across the workshop and cause damage. The failure of the cap also damaged the shaft that it screws onto. Both KompernaĆ and Lidl have been utterly useless and KompernaĆ seem to pretty much include any and every moving part as a "wear item" not covered by the warranty and clearly would rather be rude than deal with their warranty obligations - it was made very clear to me that unless something goes wrong in the first 6 months after purchase they are going to do nothing to help you. Lidl do nothing to help you and quite frankly the whole 3 year warranty is a complete con. The last KompernaĆ representative was without a doubt the rudest person from a retailer I have ever dealt with! The really stupid thing is that KompernaĆ and Lidl have now cost themselves way more than the replacement cost of the Ā£16.99 multitool in man-hours spent avoiding their warranty obligations. On top of that my family will no longer be shopping with them losing them a minimum of Ā£50 - Ā£100 per week and I will never buy another tool supplied by KompernaĆ. My loss stopped at Ā£16.99 the minute I chucked the crappy tool in bin - Lidl and KompernaĆ are losing every week I don't shop with them anymore .... I've shopped with Lidl for over 20 years but they will not see another penny from me!”
“I'm not going to critique the staff, or the shop in general.
If you shop in Lidl then you would know roughly know what to expect.
I wanted to let you know, DO BOT BUY THE DELUX LASAGNA --- ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING!!! GRIZZLY BITS THAT LOOK LIKE SLUGS. However, if you have company coming, and you don't like them very much. I would highly recommend it, and cook yourself a different version. Lol š”
“Charged Ā£45 for using there car park 16minutes over the 1:30mins after spending Ā£215 on a full family shop on a Monday evening. Charged by Parkingeye Ā£90 Iād not paid within 14 days or Ā£45 before.
Contact Lidl NOT OUR PROBLEM..”
“Thank you whoever does the rotas, today staff were happy that the horrible manager was off today ( Beth Grundy) we worked and laughed with customers and could breathe and that is how it should be. Please Lidl get rid of her for someone her age 50+ she has no respect for others and is always in canteen eating and please any customers reading these please tell Head Office how unhappy she is making us, thank you staff in Lidl Manchester.”
“Hello Lidl, like the reviews below, us customers will keep on complaining and stick up for the staff we will keep complaining until you get rid of that manager Beth Grundy !”
“Dear Lidl Head Office, I ā¤ļø your stores, I ā¤ļø your products, I ā¤ļø your prices, I ā¤ļø everything really and your staff are amazing and helpful and friendly, so when I heard that a manager was really getting your staff down, I thought these things happen in companies but today first hand I witnessed this person, oh my oh my oh my, yes she was absolutely horrid to staff oh my she doesn't know how to talk to people and she is loud, customers heard her, they way she snapped at people and come on Lidl you are scrapeing the barrel here, what a scary looking person, everyone thought Halloween had come early, a couple of customers made us chuckle and said she looks like Mrs Trunchball from Matilda š wouldn't disagree, come on Head Office please listen to your staff and customers and she doesn't belong in your brilliant company if anything she is bringing it down and staff told us her name and judging by the reviews she has been getting a lot of complaints ( rightly so) because you are not listening to staff, PLEASE LISTEN TO STAFF AND CUSTOMERS and the staff told us customers that the name of this manager who is bringing your company down is BETH GRUNDY.”
“Dear Lidl bosses, we cannot get through to you any other way and please customers if you read this please show big bosses, we have an area manager called Beth Grundy and she is so rude and mean to us, this weekend she was off and we was all so so happy and could breathe, please Lidl big bosses get rid of her, and thank you to nice customers, staff at Sheffield/Manchester stores.”
“As a staff member and writing on behalf of staff we 100% agree with the customers Area Manager Beth Grundy is absolutely an awful person and manager, yes she speaks down to people, yes she does swear and yes she is scary looking, for an older aged woman she should have respect for others, always in the canteen with her mouth full, come on Lidl bosses, higher up please do something about her, if she is upsetting staff and customers then do something. Thank you from Lidl Staff.”
“I bought two packs of Eden tonic water, both packs had leaking cans, some which didn't leak were only part full and some full but no fizz. About half we're okay.
Best to avoid this tonic water.”
“Agree with the customer below i did see the encounter with customer and the manager below " Beth Grundy" an older looking woman with big glasses, yes she was very rude to customer, she shouldn't be allowed to work for Lidl she wasn't even polite to staff! But on the whole apart from this manager spoiling your company, your staff are amazing, your stores are clean and tidy and your products are amazing and brilliantly priced, I would give you 5 stars but I have to give 1 because this peculiar looking manager " Beth Grundy" spoilt it and lowered the tone.”
“Was looking to speak to a manager, I saw a 40+ mature looking lady and asked are you the store manager well what came out of her mouth was shocking her eyes widened at me through her glasses and growled " No I am not I am higher up and can not help you" I ask for her name and she growled " Beth" I asked " Beth who" she barked " Beth Grundy and head office will not help you". Wow Lidl you are scraping the bottom of the barrel with this manager, surely you could do better, your stores and floor staff are brilliant but management you need to really restructure cause this lady was really scary looking and unapproachable.”
