“Ordered a keyboard and mouse for instore collection, I drove 20 mins to the store and the online team had sent the wrong mouse. The guy at customer service rang the online team and put me on the phone to them. They told me to take the items home and they will send DPD to pick them up the next day (yes, I was told to send both back even though only the mouse was incorrect), and then they'd send the correct order to the store for me to collect. They refused to send the correct order to my house, so another 40 minute round journey for me because of their screw-up. The items were collected 3 days ago and I've heard nothing, I've been on web chat twice and no one has any idea when I'll hear anything, just that I could 'expect to hear within 7-14 days'. This is atrocious customer service and I will never shop at Currys again. And I will persuade other family and friends to steer clear from now on. What a joke.”
“Hands down the worst customer service I have ever experienced. It's not the fault of the people working there, it's the company. Asked to be in between 7am and 7pm for a delivery and get a text at 7pm saying it can't be delivered. Delivery rescheduled for 2 weeks later, had to pay an extra £25 to shorten the window and then couldn't even send me confirmation of the delivery window, which was needed for work purposes. Flabbergasted.”
“I ordered a laptop for my daughter.
They delivered a random printer.
I have lost hours trying via their offshored customer service team who aren’t able to solve anything they are just a service to log problems that don’t then get followed up. I wrote to the CEO and got a similar response from his office that the issue has been logged.
What a shambles, a very basic lack of controls and accuracy in their warehouse. It must be utter chaos if they can’t do the basics of inventory management.
Avoid!”
“I had a terrible experience at PC Currys Wolverhampton. I spent two hours negotiating with a staff member, Aamir, for a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. He kept lowering the upfront cost from £100 to £29, but after I went home to get my ID and bank card, he suddenly said the deal was unavailable. If the deal couldn’t be done, why waste my time? He also gave incorrect information, telling me to try Merry Hill, saying they were open until 9 PM, but they had already closed at 8 PM. This ruined my brother’s birthday plans, as I was buying the phone for him.
I even made a complaint about this awful customer service, but nothing has been done. I’m extremely disappointed and won’t be returning.”
“Delivered items to wrong house, back and forth to be told parcel is at neighbours (didn't agree to that) neighbours don't have it but 3/12/24 @ 11.19am I was told I will have a phone call at about 5.30 to discuss redelivery of my parcels, took another day off work to be told it has now been rejected and for compensation I can have £10 to spend in currys which I kindly declined! Fraud”
“Placed two orders and both were cancelled without any explanation.I would avoid buying anything from them for christmas as you never know if you gonna get it or no.Refund is taking forever. Never ever again.Waste of time.”
“All of these conspire to steal your money, and that's how they stole mine until I got in touch with TREBLESLTD/COM, which allowed me to recoup my investment and profit. They use faked returns to lure investors, and after they earn your trust, there will be a big withdrawal from your accounts that drains your funds.”
“Terrible company, dishonest and invisible when u hav a problem with the broken laptops they sell. My daughters laptop broke down after only 2 months and they didn't even have technical support to help her retrieve the important information on the laptop, let alone replace it. Con artists stay away”
“My daughters laptop broke after 2 months. Terrible customer service. They think it's OK to just send it off to be possibly repaired taking weeks in the middle of college exams. They wouldnt replace their bad faulty laptop they just want your money for bad quality old laptops that don't work”
“Bought a TV with a 5 year warranty - TV developed a fault a few years in called to book it in - Replied to say you don't have a warranty, after countless calls and emails Currys apologised and agreed I do have warranty. Finally TV gets picked up for repair- came back with a white line at the bottom- Asked to collect again to repair properly.
They returned the TV completely smashed and unusable - after 30-40 calls to the team in South Africa, speaking with approx 10 managers - no calls back - no emails.
Now said sorry we're not repairing or replacing and blaming me for the extensive damage even though I have a docket from collection with the words 'no damage found' Now said you will have to go through third party appeals and they won't do anything.
DO NOT BUY A TV FROM CURRYS.”
“I had realy bad experience with currys now they send my Egift voucher by online same day I bought some of stuff .than staff advise me why r u in rush and wait for Christmas deals so I thought she advise me nicely but actually after 2 hours somebody took my money and bought online next morning I complaind and online team said rochdale store someone collect the I phone mac book.i shocked .After some time they findout person address and other details bit still nobody resolve my problem. “After reading the previous reviews seems as tho I have also been scammed by currys.payed an arm and leg for a brand new washing machine, lads that installed it cracked it and flooded my kitchen pulling the waste pipe out .I had to text the driver to come back n fix it which iv all proof. Straight away I noticed the machine on a spin was coming across the floor , sounded like a jumbo jet the noisest machine iv ever heard in my life.gets worse with every wash.i emailed and there response was there IS a fault and contact customer service..I did , they booked me in for a repair...nobody showed on the day of the booked repair but I checked the status online and they had it down as completed. Rang again , same women. Ignorant as hell. Said no your not getting a repair not booking ring the make n model of ur machine n pay for it , I nearly passed out! ..so contacted currys through Facebook they said contacted me again through email , made a second level complaint and I asked for a copy of that complaint and they will absolutely not contact me back what so ever! People please so not purchase off this company! Scammers !...absolute dirty bags.. go anywhere else do not waste ur money with them”
“I ordered a washing machine and paid extra for delivery and installation. The technician who installed the machine was very pleasant which is more than can be said about his colleague who was rude and left packaging debris in the entrance hall. The technician assured me that there were no leaks and the machine was good to go. He gave me a very quick demo which left me to work out for myself how machine operated. I soon discovered that the technician had left a pipe loose under the sink causing a bad leak. I had to tighten this. The 1st time I used the machine it was vibrating and wobbling all over the place. I realised that it had not been stabilised during installation. I had to manually pull the machine out of situ an lift it up to adjust the legs. I have tried everything to contact Currys to complain. The phone number they give is not appropriate to make a complaint as it is all automated. The webchat is also useless as the advisors can only deal with general enquiries. However I was assured that my complaint had been recorded and would be resolved within 48 hours. Nothing has happened. Currys have not responded at all. I am absolutely disgusted with this very poor level of customer care.”
“Staff have no interest in job. I was trying to buy microwave 900 with stainless steel interior. Also a George Forman Grill .
Person at counter told me he was doing bookwork and didn't refer me to anyone.
I found assistant on floor but he showed no interest,
2nd did show what was in shop but no_ one checked the Internet to order some items that are there.
There appears to be no management there and the staff cannot be well paid or there would be some interest. No commission being paid obviously
I used to buy most electrical goods there but I had to go to DID Navan to buy microwave and George Foreman grill. Hope you can do something about Navan branch as it looks like it might be closing down if management don't change things soon.”
“The service at the Norwich branch of Curry’s was disgraceful. We asked a group of three assistants who were chatting together for help with buying a vacuum cleaner. They all walked away and one said they would be back to help but never appeared. As we left the building fed up with waiting we saw two of these assistant smoking and chatting with colleagues. Consequently Curry’s lost our business now and in the future. I definitely would not recommend Curry’s to anyone.”
“Delivered a washing machine with multiple points of damage to it.
It has taken them 2wks of web chat and emails to offer a paltry 15% off, no urgency, no consideration for the hassle, disruption, cost or depreciated value of the product. Just copy paste "customer service." Avoid this company and use your local independent suppliers.”
