“Have a warranty issue with a toaster purchased July 2025 from Currys Liffey Valley. Notified Currys helpline on Tuesday morning 20th of January. So far all I have is a case number but no sign of any resolution. Extremely disappointing and frustrating. I will be thinking twice before I purchase from Currys again.”
“Absolutely appalling customer service. My brand-new Samsung washing machine developed a fault after less than six months. I contacted Currys on the 15th of January 2026, and after 12 days, I am still without a working machine. Responses have been robotic and unhelpful, repeatedly asking for information already provided. I have a young family, and being without a washing machine is causing significant disruption. Being told now to “call technical support” after nearly two weeks of chasing and escalating is not service; it is passing the problem back to the customer. Currys has shown no ownership or urgency. I will never buy from them again. Avoid at all costs.”
“Possibly the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced in my entire life.
Frustrating and time wasting to just mention a handful of phone calls I had to return one item.
Probably hiring English speaking representatives would help.”
“I am writing to follow up on my previous inquiry regarding the laptop I purchased in early December. Although I received a reply assuring me of a response as soon as possible, I have still not heard back as of today, January 6th.
I am extremely disappointed by this delay. While I understand that offices were closed over the holidays, the lack of communication means the laptop remains unused in its box. I have purchased many appliances from you in the past without issue, but this experience has been incredibly frustrating. I believe the quality of a company is defined by its support, and the service I have received thus far has been unacceptable”
“Update from previous review. In Aug 2025 I ordered a wireless microphone, 4 months later, 45 phone calls, the standard response of “I’m very sorry sir, this has been escalated and someone will contact you in 24-48hours with an update”. I have had ZERO updates. I keep calling, o get the standard response, rinse and repeat. The run around is so unethical. What a horrible company. No refund and no return of my product. I am left with nothing after a return of a product. Horrible. Despicable. Unethical. Criminal.”
“Lost in transit.
A laptop that should have arrived almost 3 weeks ago is lost in DPD depot in Snetterton.
It's impossible to speak to anyone who can help. The chat assistants have told me three times that it will be sorted in 24/48 hours.
I visited my local currys to try and sort it but got exactly the same answer, 24/48 hours. But guess what, when I returned after 48 hours they hadn't managed to sort it.
In desperation I ordered a second laptop for click and collect, because I needed it for Christmas.
Then I attempted to cancel the original order but can't because it shows as despatched. So now I have paid for two items and can't cancel. The complaints procedure is non existent and the chat facility is useless.
Shame on you currys, this is a total disgrace. I have been a pretty good customer over the years but I will not be returning
Edit”
“I bought a washing machine from Curry’s about two years ago, but it remained unused until recently because my old machine was still working. When I finally installed it, the machine powered on but none of the functions worked, so I was unable to use it at all.
I contacted the company to ask what could be done — whether a repair, exchange or refund was possible — but because of the time that had passed since purchase, I was told that nothing could be done. I understand there are warranty limits, but I was very disappointed that there was no support or willingness to help resolve the situation, especially considering the machine had never been used.
I expected better customer service and I now feel I paid for a product I never got to use. I would advise others to check items immediately after purchase, even if they are not needed right away.”
“ordered a phone and 2 months of wrong items delivered, returned, phone-calls, emails, then silence, incompetence and lies and nonsense - one of the most bizarre orders I've ever had to misfortune to be involved in - & just been told that the item isn't available, but they can't refund my money as the order is processed ........- Currys is an absolute sham company”
“AVOID at ALL COSTS!!!
A HUGE, VERY ANGRY, THANK YOU to Currys for your terrible delivery service and India-based customer service, and for ruining my daughter's birthday because I have no present to give her, which I paid for (and paid for next day delivery of)!!
What's more, I currently have no idea when I might hope to receive my daughter's gift because you use the notoriously incompetent DPD UK, who like to pretend they've attempted delivery (for 3 days on the trot) and then return my undelivered/unattempted-to-be-delivered parcel to the retailer!
And your India-based customer service, both online and by telephone, is beyond diabolical!
I will NEVER order from Currys EVER again and recommend this place be avoided by ALL, especially if you want to receive an item before Christmas or, if you have an issue, get to speak to someone remotely helpful that you can understand!!!
I even offered to collect my item from a store - but told this wasn't possible?!?!”
“My elderly and disabled parents made a very rare trip out to purchase a vacuum from Currys because they believed an established retailer would offer better support than buying online. Unfortunately the opposite is true.
The staff assisted and recommended a Vax cleaner, ( to elderly disabled customers) but it is too heave and awkward to use, it doesn’t have the capacity to stand unaided, it falls over even if leant against a wall, and it doesn’t pick up!! it actually repeatedly spits debris back out!! The bin part doesn’t ’click’ into place and falls off during use!! It’s completely unusable!!
Despite this, Currys refused to help because it was “over 30 days,” even though the Consumer Rights Act 2015 clearly gives customers up to six months for faults. A shop policy does not override the law.
To make matters worse, my mum is 81 and undergoing chemotherapy, yet Currys still wouldn’t make any reasonable adjustments — something they’re required to do under the Equality Act 2010.
My parents trusted Currys for better service than buying online. Instead, they’ve been left with a useless product and zero support.
I hope Currys pays attention to this, because no vulnerable customer should be treated this way — and we simply want the lawful remedy for a faulty product.”
“Ordered a phone nearly 2 months ago - wrong phone delivered twice already and at the time of typing this, the correct phone still has not been delivered - unbelievable contempt for customers - & each time the wrong phone was delivered , it was treated as a "returns situation" , as if I had ordered the wrong item and even now I don't understand why correct/paid for item has not been delivered and my emailed queries are being ignored.

Terrible customer service
Bought a washing machine in April, currys fitted it in May. Failed 2 weeks ago, tech came out on Wednesday said he'd never seen this fault and ordered a circuit board. Received a text today from currys saying that the part is not in stock and will text me in 7 days time with an update. I rang currys wanting a new washing machine as the Logic washing machine is not fit for purpose and no indication when it would be fit for purpose. I was told I had to contact logic to obtain a uplift number, I told them i purchased the washing machine from currys and paid currys not logic. After a number of minutes back and forth and telling the lady that I was caring for my sick wife and I couldn't continue to hand wash everything, she agreed to contact logic, this was at 14.57. I requested a call back which camilla agreed to do. It is now 18.34 and no call back which I didn't expect as the lady did not even ask for my telephone number. Once they have your money they don't care, please keep away from this company. In the meantime we are in limbo.”
“Avoid Currys at all costs. I bought a TV from them that developed a common fault. After showing photo and video evidence of the fault, it was confirmed it would be covered under my extended warranty for repair. Their delivery team collected it, I showed them the issue, and I even signed to confirm there was no damage when they took it away. Days later, Currys refused to repair it, suddenly claiming “damage” that was absolutely not there when it left my home. I had clear video and photo proof showing the fault with no damage, but after over two months of going in circles with their painfully slow and unhelpful customer service, they refused to fix or replace the TV. Their team even carried my TV by the screen with no protection — no wonder it came back damaged. Now I’m left with a broken TV entirely thanks to Currys. Shocking service, dishonest practice, and zero accountability. Truly the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced with any company. No reply to emails, no call backs, and constantly being told it’s being dealt with when it’s not. Never again”
“I paid £35 extra for an oven to be delivered Wednesday afternoon. After waiting it didn't turn up. After 30 mins on hold I was told it was cancelled as they can only do it on a Sunday. They admitted they cancelled and didn't tell me, they have also said I have to go back to the store to cancel. I've told them I won't be in on Sunday and they'll be wasting their time trying to deliver but she says as I bought in store I can only amend in store. I'd like to cancel due to dreadful service but not sure when I'll next visit the store”
“I bought 7 items for kitchen. I asked for them all to be installed but the girl at the counter made a mistake and only charged me for 2 items to be installed. Mistakes happen I can get over that.
Can't contact store directly, that's ok. Rang number, went through a painful auto journey to be put through to an Indian call centre that sounded like they were working in a market.
They told me I must go back to the store. I went back to the store, queued for 1h 30 mins. I paid and they told me they would email me next day as it was Sunday and they couldn't confirm installation date as I advised I couldn't wait longer than a week. If they can't do it I'll hire a handyman myself. I did not receive that email and called the number again only for them to be unable to find my order. A total of 105 mins on calls the next day repeating the same information over and over again. They find my order eventually and ask me to call another number in the UK. I called this number that didn't work, she gave me wrong number it seems. Back again to call centre repeating the whole process again and I'm writing this as I'm on hold on yet another call 22 mins and counting.
I'm not getting mad with staff as it's not their fault. Just 1 mistake at start of sale has taken hours of my time and I would recommend stay away from Currys delivery service. I don't care if you respond or not to this. I don't want to hear from you again.”
“Bought a washing machine in Currys in-store. When I got it, 30/07, there was a part missing. Emailed Currys on the day (there is no facility to contact the store directly) on the day to advise. I have sent numerous emails and phoned numerous times. The only response I get is “we will pass it on to the store and someone will contact you”, or, “I will book you in for one of the managers to ring you”. Needless to say, no one from the store has ever contacted me, and no Customer Service manager has ever phoned me. As a result, I submitted a claim for a refund and return of the item, but this request has just been ignored also.
The multi-choice questions don't have a "never responded" or a "impossible to get a refund" answer so used the most appropriate.
Not only could I never recommend Currys to someone, I would strongly recommend against them, based on the non-existent Customer Service. They are fine to deal with when nothing goes wrong, but you’re on your own if something does.”
“This is truely appalling service. The single worse customer service of any company I ever dealt with.
No reply to my email.
No answer to phone calls and your terrible automated service will not recognise my phone number.
I eventually got a phone number and your phone was off the hook. Full day wastsed trying to contact Currys.
Was promised delivery within 5-7 worrking days, which I needed as we had to replace our fridge freezer.
Currently in the process of a chargeback as I had to buy a new fridge freezer from elsewhere.”
“Paid for Currys to install washing machine. Didn't tighten washing machine water feed fully. Flooded utility room causing £1000's of damage and had audacity to call us liars and reject our claim of damage. An assessor saw the damage. Floor had only been down a few years..... why would we flood it ourselves. Don't touch them with a bargepole. Appalling doesn't come close.”
“Terrible service and Poor Delivery arrangements.
Purchased a number of items including a new desktop PC. All items except the desktop PC were delivered as arranged without issue by DHL but the desktop PC for some reason could not be delivered by TNT because "the delivery address could not be verified". The only option offered by Currys Business was to arrange collection from a one of their 'business hubs' located some 10 miles away! When I told them this was not logistically possible they told me the only option was to arrange a refund. One week on, and we are still waiting for the refund which is preventing us from purchasing the desktop PC from another retailer. Absolutely disgraceful service from what is supposed to be a reputable business to business retailer!”
“I returned a smart watch for the second time within 6 months and I asked the guy who was working “was there a problem with this particular brand and did they get many returns?”
to which he replied “ it’s a cheap watch you get what you pay for” I was stunned he said that and with other customers in earshot too !! he’s a great ambassador for Curry’s and the watch company isn’t he ? Needless to say I won’t be purchasing anything in Curry’s again.”
