“I have been dealing with Nancy pomfret Nancy Pomfret atDC law …
I have been dealing with DC law for the sale of a house, they have made the whole process a nightmare, there is never any answer from calls , it is virtually impossible to speak to your so called solicitor, they answer their so called office phone or personal phone, never answer emails.I did not choose this company myself, that was done my other family members but if I or they had read the reviews on here obviously we wouldn’t have used them. I would strongly advise not to use
Updated now how do I leave case number as can’t find option
Have updated with all information asked for in reply , I’m now waiting for DCLaw to respond again.”
“Do not use this company. We are supposed to complete on our purchase today and have still not received the contract. We have removals booked and I cannot get hold of anybody by phone or email to let me know what is happening. I will be homeless tonight.”
“I used dc law to sell a house and it went through with no problem, Well done Nancy Pomfret, so when I needed to use them again I was surprised that the experience was totally different. I have NEVER experienced such a level of incompetence, it took six weeks from the sale agreement to even manage to make contact, as that was the fault of Purple Bricks not even sending them the details of the sale. Since then I have had a contract to sign which did not even have anywhere to sign it as it was missing from the form, made at least 20 phone calls and got through a total of nil times, threatened to raise an official complaint which prompted a grovelling call the next day, agreed a way ahead and it has not been followed, still cant get through.
If you get a good case handler it is ok, but if not then it is a nightmare. The company are a complete joke, if you use them then you are asking for a bad experience. Unfortunately the star rating does not let you put negative ratings.”
“Don't know how correctly certified copy of power of attorney letter looks like and takes over 20 weeks to find out.
Nobody answers the phone when you ring them and they don't answer to your emails. When they are on holiday you won't even get out of office notification”
“1 star is 1 to many!
AVOID!!!! We were told we had to use them as part of purple bricks agreement, so I wouldn’t use them either!
Lily Irvine has no communication or organising skills what do ever. Never returns calls, answers emails and requests information she has already had!
I have read DC Law are rubbish employers and do not support staff, if this is the case I do feel sorry for staff however your integrity is yours!”
“AWFUL Company, I've been trying to get hold of them for a simple enquiry now for days and many, many phone calls but have failed to get through even once!”
“Diabolical, cowboy company. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. After nearly 5 months of absolutely no movement with our sale, and no one answering the phone we have instructed new solicitors. If the lack of communication and progress wasn't bad enough, when you finally do get through, the attitude on the other end is disgraceful. Unprofessional, untrained and miserable employees. Why didn't I read the 6 pages of 1 star reviews first?!”
“I am an estate agent and we were asked to use DC Law as a panel solicitors. They (and their sister companies) are appalling. There is no communication, no progression, no replies to emails. You can never get through by telephone either. If you want to leave a message an automated answer comes through telling you they're 'busy' and 'goodbye'. Despite escalating the cases and being passed from various case handlers who promise to take over and get things done, nothing changes. I am spending hours chasing sales and dealing with irate clients rather than doing my job with no results. I am the one getting the blame for recommending them. Sales are falling through because of them. In this climate mortgage offers are running out and once they do the rates change so much the transaction is no longer viable. They are affecting so many lives. Avoid at all costs. If they can't handle the case loads don't take them on. 1.5 months of no progress on a sale/purchase is unacceptable. Use a solicitor that you can speak to directly, that knows the local area, that you can go to the office if you need to and doesn't operate through a contact centre set up.”
“Avoid at all cost
Absolutely disgusting level of service
You can’t even phone them to complain
Rude solicitor
No contact
Avoid at all costs
Save your time, money and stress
Shouldn’t be allowed to operate”
“These are our buyer solicitors was due for completion on 17th of august still no end in site they are a bunch of cowboys how there aloud you trade is beyond me don’t respond to calls emails ect they love to waste peoples hard earned money. And that Tanya what a piece of dog dirt. Whoever’s using them get rid and use another firm trust me be far quicker. Purple bricks are just as bad”
“Unfortunately, my seller is using this useless company, it is not the seller's fault, they was suggested by purple brick. Me and the seller agreed that the exchange date should be 1st August, but now is already 5th September, nothing happen, the solicitor of DC Law, never answer the phone and email. I don't know what to do now. If you are going to sell/ buy a house, DON'T use this company, it is so stressful!”
“The service from this company is absolutely appalling. You can keep ringing and emailing, but one answers emails or calls. They have been convancing my house sale for 7 and a half months with no end in sight. I am really disappointed and upset”
“More like what is going wrong with DC law with all them bad review
how do you keep going
Can you send your employees on a training course how to pick up the phone when it rings”
“Really really bad service of Asma Khaliq Ramzan, she never answered the phone call and never replied email. We missed the exchange date. Very very disappointed.”
“Utterly appalling customer service. Utterly unprofessional behaviour. They never reply to phone calls or emails from their clients, from my estate agents nor other solicitors involved in the conveyancing process. It's been two weeks and not a single response. I am seriously concerned that my house sale will fail because of them. Do not touch this company with a 40 foot bargepole. Will be making a complaint to the Legal Ombudsman.”
“What a terrible experience we've had so far. No progression on either our sale or purchase for weeks and weeks now. Can't get hold of our conveyancer or anyone even slightly familiar with our case. Filed an official complaint and still getting nowhere. Escalated by Purple Bricks to the panel. Still getting nowhere. DC Law receptionist emailing the team requesting an urgent call back and looping in the director. Still getting nowhere.
Would seriously recommend Purple Bricks to think twice about associating themselves with DC Law going forwards as we've had nothing but deteriorating mental health due to lack of sleep over worrying our entire chain will collapse. Completely incompetent, frustration doesn't even cover it anymore, it is so beyond that now. We're calling and emailing numerous times a day and getting absolutely nowhere, how we will ever complete at this stage I have no idea.
Do not use DC Law.”
“Do NOT use DC law my buyers are with DC law after purple bricks reccomend them.
Take no notice of the trust pilot reviews they are obviously fake.
Never experienced anything like this I have no idea how they sleep at night. The chain is about to collapse I will be taking this to the legal ombudsman.”
