This is the 2nd tent I’ve had because it’s so good. I don’t have kids but I take care of feral cats and I use this to feed them in the rain. I’ve actually taped up the windows to stop the rain from getting in but obviously using it for a child you wouldn’t have to do that as I doubt they’d be out in the rain. I had my first tent up all year round for over a year with a few bricks inside to stop it from blowing away. It is so strong, it has buckled a few times during storms but I’ve just pushed it back out. It was even in storm Dennis which that did pop a bit of the structure through the top but I sewed it back together and it was fine. The cats love sleeping in it to shade on sunny days and hide out in on rainy days. Putting it together is easy and only takes a few minutes but you do have to sit inside it with it collapsed on your head, but it wasn’t a problem. Oh a tip, the white ended bit goes at the top and the red at the bottom. I think a child would love it as a little den, even I do! Lol wish they made them without windows and in plain colours for my purpose but I’m probably the only person buying this for cats! Lol
