I use these for casual walking locally. They have proper spikes and are not relying on a chain or springs to provide bite into the ice.
Can be easily carried in a jacket pocket in the supplied bag. Easy to put on and take off. Effective. I feel secure on ice using these.
Am very happy with them.
I would use my full blown crampons on mountains as their fixtures are potentially more secure and rigid. But these Micro Spikes are better than I anticipated.
