Pinewood Cottage is beautiful and a wonderful welcoming holiday destination. It’s cosy and comfortable, the perfect space for relaxing as well as being perfectly located for exploring the Lakes. The nearby area is stunning, highly recommend Tarn Hows, Fell Foot, High Dam and the Hoad Monument which pays off with spectacular views at the top. A ride on Haverthwaite steam train is a must, as well as the Lakeside cruise to Windermere. The food served at the cafe at Haverthwaite is delicious too, a great spot for lunch whilst watching the steam train come in. There’s nothing better after a long day of exploring than lighting the log burner and enjoying time together in the lounge with a drink or two. We loved our stay at Pinewood Cottage and can’t wait to return!
