I began submitting a claim with AirAdvisor, until I found out they would take 120 euros from my compensation for the privilege. I then stopped filling out the information and moved to the Wizz Air app to try and make my claim directly, whereupon I was informed that the claim had already been filed. I contacted AirAdvisor to say I was taking the claim forward myself and was told, although I hadn't completed the claim, I had agreed to enough of their Ts&Cs for them to action it. Despite protestation, they refused to withdraw their action. No apologies or explanation, just a blanket 'you agreed, we're doing this'. Frustrating, but at least it would save me some work (or so I thought), albeit for an egregious sum. A month or so later and I have been given some money. I say some, because the airline apparently has charged a 50 euro admin fee. AirAdvisor have said they are 'preparing a lawsuit against them' to get the 50 euros back, as it is illegal. This sounded like I was finally getting my money's worth, until I spoke to a friend who was on the same flight and had managed to submit his claim via WizzAir at the same time. He had been remunerated in full, no nonsense about admin fees and no third party charge. Don't use them, they don't really do anything - the admin involved in claiming directly with an airline is so minor, it's not worth such a large fee.
