As a self-published author, but with a background in marketing and PR, I thought I would have a smooth ride when it came to launching and marketing my work. Although my knowledge has helped, I've still made mistakes and the amount of help, support and imparted knowledge that has come my way from Books go Social has proved invaluable. The community and service is growing, and there are growing pains, but having access to a group of international writers means that even in the wee hours of the night, somebody is there to respond to a query or post. With access to nearly 400,000 twitter users, trackable data, social media promotion, blog endorsement and access to the thoughts and ideas of nearly 2,000 other independent authors, I would encourage anyone to join the community. It is certainly the most interactive one I have come across so far.
