Because of the recent floods in Dubai ,my flight was cancelled and resulted in me making arrival 2 days late to pick up the car I had booked and paid for thru carjet.i had notified Carjet via email of my predicament,but I did not see this as a problem as I had paid in full upfront. On arrival at 10.45 at night with my 10 year old daughter ,with all my baggage lost ,I was told there was no car for me as they only kept the car for 24 hours. They were in no way apologetic to the situation they had put me in,and told me they had no other car and suggested using one of the nearby car rental companies in Dublin airport.left with no alternative I ended up using sixt and had to pay almost 3 times the amount I had paid for the car I should have been getting.since then communication has been nearly non existent.except for a voucher to use in the next 12 months in Europe.not much good as I live in Sydney.i have given up on getting any sort of refund.
But hopefully this might stop someone else getting ripped of from a flyby night company with no integrity.
