I am a door dash driver and have sent in multiple complaints regarding their requirements on the app and an irate customer regarding requirement to take picture for leaving food at the door. All they do is acknowledge, but don't do anything about fixing it. So, if you request food be left at the door, then meet your driver, there is nothing to take a picture of except a portion of the customer's property. This picture ONLY goes to the customer's app... not on my phone.
For customers... that $5 fee you pay to door dash for getting your food delivered does not all go to the driver. We get $3 per delivery as D.D. rarely offers "promos" where we get any more than that UNLESS a tip is given, whether in app or cash. Believe me, we GREATLY appreciate cash tips!!! We get to decline or accept an order and when the trip pays $3 and you don't tip cash we are basically delivering for free, which is sad and quite disappointing. D.D. won't change or increase their pay, so we rely on tips... just like the waitress had you gone out to eat.
