I am tired of door dash messing up my order, or not delivering it correctly and then making me feel like it's my fault. On July 12 I ordered food a total cost of $96.53.The driver was given specific instructions not yo leave the food in the lobby and to deliver it to our door. Now I understand sometimes the elevator is busy and so they Callander I am happy to accommodate coming down to meet them, but in this case he did not even buzz in,entered the building somehow and left our food on the ground in the lobby. He did not inform us of the delivery and so after being over half hour late my husband went to the lobby to see if it was left there and sure enogh found our food on the floor in the lobby. The bag had been opened and a couple.of the items had the sauces leaked out onto the food and o e was the sauces with the desert. After putting informing door dash the automated system gave me a $5 credit, but it was more than just getting a credit so I took it further and let door dash know that this is unacceptable and not the first time food has just been left there despite being told not to do so. I then received an email from door dash apologizing and it stated that I would get a refund to my original payment including the tip, plus a $10 credit to my account. I felt that was nice of them, but still wanted to take a break from using the services. Almost a month has gone by and the $10 credit was issued right away, but my refund did not come. Yesterday I contacted the support services to inquire and they basically told me that the $5 credit was the resolution. I tried to explain, but nothing so I just ended the conversation. I the replied to the email I received from door dash and it came back with a response to contact the support for further assistance. Today I tried again, oh and both times yesterday and today I sent them a screen shot of the email from door dash, but again they said the $5 credit was the resolution. They then agreed to check with a supervisor who said they could only give me $20. Now originally this was not about money it was the lack of service provided and the mishandling of the food. I did not ask for a refund at any point,they offered it to me,so now I am also upset that not only did I not get the refund,I was made to feel I needed to prove my issue and it was like I did something wrong. This is just not okay. I received a $20 credit, but feel like it was given to me to shut me up and to leave them alone. I don't write reviews often, but this time I feel it is needed. A customer should not be treated like this and if there was a mistake made then just explain it do t make the customer out to be in the wrong. Take responsibility for your actions or in this case lack there of. I hope if anything this review helps door dash to handle these situations better.
