I ordered oil and an oil filter from GSF online (to service my car before its MOT) and the courier they used was DPD. When DPD tried to deliver the package I was out. A couple of days later I received a text and email saying my package was at their local Pickup Shop. I went to the Pickup Shop the following day, but they claimed no knowledge of my parcel. As I didn't have time to wait for GSF & DPD to find my lost parcel (as I needed to service my car), I had to drive 16 miles round trip to the nearest GSF store to re-purchase the same oil & oil filter. After raising a Paypal dispute on the original online purchase, GSF got back to me stating that they had photographic evidence that the package HAD been dropped off at the Pickup Shop ! So it was very annoying to find out that my package actually WAS at the Pickup Shop when I had called to collect it. Although GSF refunded my original online purchase, there was no apology forthcoming, and no compensation offered for the time, stress and cost (ie 16 miles drive to their nearest store) that their courier put me through. DPD is part of GSF's delivery process, and so GSF should take responsibility for THEIR courier's mismanagement of my order. This is the second issue I've had with GSF ... last year I ordered oil and and oil filter online from GSF to be collected from their Maidenhead branch, but when I went to collect it they'd sold MY oil (the one they'd had delivered to their store to be set aside for ME) to another customer !!! I would be very wary of using GSF again. They really need to look at their processes !
