Sakurako always delivers excellent quality foods with an insightful, educational cultural context. The packaging ensures even delicate sweets arrive intact in nearly all cases (in two years of boxes, only a few very thin, extremely delicate cookies have arrived broken), and no bread/pastry items have arrived mashed). The customer service is excellent, the housewares are always useful and high quality, and we love the wood block print art cards with each box that are excellent quality. We tried another popular brand of J snack box before SakuraCo, but found Sakuraco ships many more non-export local products, and is more ethical. (We found misleading and inaccurate information on the competitor website about Sakuraco - if you have a good product, you don’t need to try to mislead people about your competitor to keep their business.) My husband is Japanese, and we have Japanese food markets in our community. Yet for the number of times in the past two years he’s said, “Oh wow - I remember these!” with total joy, the price is more than worth it!
