I purchased a PiHut wireless game controller to try. My robot has been controlled by a PS3 (Play Station) controller for years but since updating the Raspberry Pi OS to Bookworm I could no longer connect by Bluetooth despite many hours of Googling and trying.
I can report that, in conjunction with PiBorg's excellent Gamepad Library Diddy is now drivable again. Almost Plug & Play apart from having to remap the codes from the buttons. Strongly recommended.
