I ordered the X frame industrial legs for desks I was putting together. It was suggested on the product page that threaded inserts could be used on the desk top and it was a great suggestion. The legs give a super clean look and are sturdy and durable. I went with clear coat so they are protected from rust. The X frames also allow a swivel chair to rotate between two ends without clipping your legs! With the threaded inserts and bolts they are easy to remove. I did want to get the x frames in copper, but the site didn't offer the option. Emailing in I asked if it was possible but they said no which isn't surprising as the X frames have a lot of surface area, so it's a lot to electroplate - I was going to try it at home making a copper plating solution that you could just rub/brush on, and then do the clear coat myself but didn't want to waste the money if I ruined the legs. In the end I think the legs look better in steel with the wood and I couldn't be happier.
