I asked my Year 5/6 class what they would take away from the experience. A lot said that they would take away how excited the soldiers were to go to war and then how depressed they became. Other points that they enjoyed: • opportunities for acting • understanding how it felt to be part of the war • loved the poetry that was chosen Other children said: ''I liked how we had to do the different actions, it was very interesting'' Year 4 ''I really enjoyed the group activities, working with my friends.'' Year 3 ''Learning about what happened during WW1 and WW2 was fun to learn about'' Year 4 ''I enjoyed the part where we had to copy the actions on the war posters'' Year 4 ''I liked reading the poems and creating the freeze frames'' AML Year 3 Overall, a huge hit.
