Busterbox advert appeared on Facebook advertising a free bed and 50% off first box meaning I paid £12.50. Received box today, the bed is simply a cushion/mat, we received 2 soft toys (similar can be picked up in b&m for a couple of quid and 2 packets of busterbox unbranded treats and 1 packet of denzel treats). The photos on Facebook looked like you got a lot of items in the medium box I selected on a 6 mth subscription but upon receipt this obviously was not the case. I promptly went onto my account to cancel subscription immediately which it processed and then states subscription will be cancelled upon completion of 6 billing cycles. It's absolutely ridiculous and surely goes against UK Trading Standards along with the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008, the Consumer Protection Act 1987, the Price Marking Order 2004 and the Consumer Rights Act 2015. I will be contacting my bank to ask them not to release further funds and advised busterbox I don't wish to receive further boxes. I am still within the first 14 days of any contract with Busterbox so don't think they have a legal leg to stand on. Please be very wary taking out a subscription with them. The boxes are really not worth the money and their cancellation policy is extremely unclear. States you can cancel at any time but they still want to collect £24.99 per month from you.
