When renewing your car insurance be aware that the item under 'Your vehicle details' - 'How much did you purchase your vehicle for' does not mean this but actually means: 'Estimated Current Value', which is what appears in the 'Statement of Facts' you receive AFTER paying the premium. If you enter the amount you originally paid for your vehicle then your premium will be significantly higher than necessary and you will be charged £20 to amend this.
