“Totally sucked, waited all day and no show. Can get the same battery at Advance for a hundred dollars less. Don't waste your time like I did.”

“One star for 800-battery; 5 starts for the tech. Tech came pretty timely and did the install no problem. Probably not his fault, but he brought the wrong battery. Was not the model that I ordered (the website has incorrect information about my car). It will work OK but does not fit in the compartment properly and the lid will not close all the way. Dissappointed.”

“I ordered a DieHard Gold replacement battery from 1-800 Battery in the morning and received a call from provider Lightning Roadside, Plainview NY in about an hour. I was told someone would come between 1-3 PM to replace battery, which was fine. Sometime after 2 PM I received a follow up call to tell me the tech was in the area finishing another job and would be here shortly. The tech then called me directly to say he was on his way and would be here in ten minutes, which was around 2:30 PM. When he arrived, I noticed he brought an Oxide battery, not a DieHard and I explained that wasn't what I ordered. He contacted his office to tell them there was an issue with order so they could straighten it out. Apparently, there was some disconnect between 1-800 Battery and this provider, so it was not their fault. The tech, Joe, then left but said he would contact me later. Within a short period of time Joe called again to say he was retrieving the correct battery and would be back in 30 minutes. He arrived as promised and installed the correct battery in my car. In spite of the mix up I felt the company and Joe, the tech, did an excellent job.”

“The guy did his job but had a horrible attitude. I was nothing but nice and car issues cripple my anxiety and he really just is the not great. Had he met me with a better ‘tude I would have tipped because clearly you people aren’t paying them enough:”

“From the time I placed the order I received clear concise communication. The tech that provided the service continued with excellent communication and top notch service. Super happy I tried 1-800 battery. Pulled right up to my car changed the battery ensured my car was running correctly and I was on my way!”

“What a joke. The guy shows up with no tools. Has no idea how to replace a Porsche Boxster battery when it’s dead. Just stands there. Then the company says they are charging me $100 for showing up. On top of it he was two hours late. Not a real company. Never again.”

“We only had to wait 30 minutes for a new battery. The representative on the phone was very polite and was very helpful. The gentleman that installed the battery was very knowledgeable and very polite. I will highly recommend.”

“The battery that was sold and installed for me on 9/28/21 went out not even a year after purchase. When the technician came to replace it, he did not complete the installation. He did not connect the battery to the car, instead he simply placed the battery in the car. The next day while out running errands, the car wouldn’t start. I had to call roadside assistance for a jump which is when we discovered that the battery was never installed. When I called the company back to get assistance, I was met with horrible customer service. They didn’t not even bat and eye at my compliant. They also refused to get someone out to install the battery. The representative told me that no one would be out to reinstall the battery until the next day. When I asked to speak to a manager, he stated that they were too busy to speak with me. This is by far the worst customer service I have ever received. I will not be returning.”
