“Actual complete liars. Stated attempted collection today after I was told to leave a sign on the door with info for the safe place for collection.
I did this and it literally could not be missed. Come home and still sitting there.
I have security footage during the time DHL stated attempt and not a single person come down my drive to front door.
Appalling behaviour.”
“DANGER DANGER DANGER
If you see a good review they wrote it..... Amazon should be banned from working with them.... there should be some sort of Class Action Suit....
This is a Knowingly Willingly Premeditated Scam.....They give you tracking numbers that don't even exist.... I'm curious as to why the Better Business Bureau hasn't shut this place down.... the reviews say it all”
“Took a half day unpaid to be home to get the package delivered after I booked the window... still no package way passed the working day and the window I booked. I'm really happy I spent my time unpaid for a delivery that wasn't necessary at all since it's still not here.”
“Three separate items from three separate sellers the same outcome from using this shower of s***e.
I haven’t got the time or energy to highlight all the problems but if you read the other reviews you’ll get the gist.
From now on I will check first to see who is using DHL and make sure I buy elsewhere.”
“AVOID!!!
Do not use it !!
I was waiting for delivery ( Christmas present ) , on the 23th I check the tracking and what a surprise - it appears that I refused the delivery and it was sent back to the sender!!!
WHAT A LIE !!!
I never got any parcel to refuse it. I think because it was 23th of December , the driver got lazy and didn't and it was just easier to send it back than to deliver as I am living in the middle of nowhere.
AVOID ! AVOID ! AVOID!”
“Ordered a small part,(battery cable from Rock Auto), paid extra to have the part by the 31st of December. The part has been shipped from N.Y, to Ohio to Los Angeles Ca. back to Ohio and according to tracking info on its way to Tulsa Ok.(I live near Oklahoma City). I still do not have the part. I would give this company 0 stars if possible!!!!”
“The absolute worst company I have ever dealt with in 38 years of business. They don't know where my package is or when it will be delivered. I paid almost 2,000 to ship from England.
The managers and executives are hiding from their customers and letting the hourly employees listen to our complaints on how bad they have managed the company.
The only thing I can think of to wake them up is to actually council their employees to quit taking the grief and start making the big wigs manage the company better.
So far I have talked to 2 of them explaining that they have no future in a company that is the worst in the nation.
Yes it is that bad”
“This company is the worst - even worse than Hermes - they offer delivery slots, confirm these as agreed and then completely ignore. I requested a particular date and time and useless DHL chose to deliver 2 days earlier (of course I wasn't home). Despite my tracking still showing my delivery slot for 'end of today', having contacted DHL customer service, I am told it will be at least another 5 days. All Customer Service do is apologise, say the understand and say there is nothing they can do....wheew....AVOID THIS COMPANY - THEY REALLY ARE THE WORST!!!”
“Useless courier. The only way to circumnavigate their ridiculous 'delivery attempted; recipient not home', when you wait the whole day with eyes on the drive, is to assign the delivery to a local collection locker. Even then you will receive a few days of the above 'not home' message, suggesting even the system they use is useless and takes a few days to update?!? DHL is a lost cause and everyone who has ever been burdened with them realise this.”
“DHL Parcel UK is possibly the worst courier service provider in the UK. Would 100% not recommend.
Every other courier can be easily contacted for questions or if anything goes wrong.. but try getting in touch with DHL and only frustration will await you. We had a parcel sent for next-day delivery on the 17th of December. The only update on the tracking information is from the 18th of December: "Your parcel is delayed and will be delivered on the next working day".
2 weeks later and still nothing. Even worse - try contacting them over the phone just to hear a robot repeat the same sentence and then hang up on you. No opportunity to speak to a real person or raise an complaint. DHL must only make profit from people who give up trying to contact them. If you're feeling adventurous, you can always try their alternative methods of contact - Facebook/Twitter - but forget the estimated 4 hours response time as we've waited over 48 hours.
It should honestly be illegal for a company to be so non-contactable especially given that it's supposed to be "next-day delivery", but god-forbid if something goes wrong (which happens often) you cannot contact them for 4 more days.
Their customer service is non-existent. Just use Hermes or Royal Mail or literally any other provider which has real people you can contact when problems arise and save yourself the headache down the road.”
“They never deliver the parcel. Just leave a card even when I am home waiting for delivery. This time no card, no call. On 29 Dec 2020 the tracking said out for delivery. By the end of the day Status was updated to Ready for collection as requested. I didn't request that. Now cannot reach the customer services as its all automated reboots on the phone. I guess, got to waste the time to pickup myself. They take full money but never deliver.”
“I sent out my parcel more than 2 weeks ago, to Kenya, Waybill number 8718486173. It was a small free Christmas gift, like I have sent thousands of times with TNT or FedEx. However, more than 2 weeks later, the DHL Kenyan office has taken more than £100 from me, and one corrupt fellow called Ochieno continues to contact the recipient with more demands for money. Last week it was ‘customs fees’. This week it is ‘storage fees’ of more than £30 for a parcel of less than 200gms. I have never written reviews before, but I thought I should WARN any unsuspecting customers who may not know how DHL is complicit in Kenyan corruption. What is disgusting is that I have contacted DHL many times about this but nothing has happened yet. One Kathy Wileman from their UK office even promised to get back to me, but nothing still. I guess that is how this company makes money from its African branches: by delaying delivery of parcels so they can demand ransom from its victims. PLEASE AVOID DHL FOR ALL SERVICES TO AFRICA. DISGUSTED CUSTOMER.”
“I’ve had loads of parcels sent via dhl without any issue but the one parcel I’ve had that has gone missing and I have msged them and they cannot get back to me to sort it out I am now out of pocket!!! “Awful service
Awful service. I have been informed yesterday that my parcel is going to be delivered. I have not been given any time slot at all. No parcel was delivered yesterday or today. So twice I have wasted my day waiting for this delivery and now it will be delivered too late. What an unreliable service! Not giving people a time slot in modern days even Hermes and Yodel have better service.”
“delivered three parcels at collection point one week before xmas.
tried all week to track this shipment and on xmas eve went back to shop to find parcels still on floor waiting to be collected.
I will never use these fifth rate delivery service again.
given we are tier 4 we cannot deliver until restrictions lifted.
I strongly advise anyone to never use DHL.
you have been warned.”
“Useless unhelpful do not use lost tracking, 2 weeks now they have lost not just 1 box but 11 at the same time AVOID at all costs this has cost us over 1,000 euros refunding dissatisfied customers and damaged our reputation ! Lying cheating con merchants ! One star is far too much -10 is being generous”
“Waited all day for my iPhone, watched tracker. We were stop 64, waiting and waited. I was at work watching stop updates, Mrs was waiting at home looking out window, but after stop 51...my order disappeared off tracking! And then appeared in the warehouse after 6.30pm WTF. Fuming is not I like to feel after working all day. So I sucked it up and waited for Monday. And received iPhone, I recruited 10 people to keep a eye out for these allusive vans, cause if they can’t see the property from their driving seats...they can’t deliver.”
“DHL10433276-1470724
WARNING! DO NOT USE DHL!
Never have I ever encountered such a horrendous courier service as I have had to endure with DHL. My parcel (DHL10408721-1445074) was originally supposed to be collected on Friday 20th November from my doorstep for next day delivery to my customer. I received a text message notifying me the driver would be coming to collect between 16:09 and 17:09 on that day. However they came around 14:00 which meant they came outside of the expected timeslot and we were unable to open the door in time for them to collect.
On Saturday 21st November 10:51, I called DHL who assured me they would try again on Monday 23rd November. When I called DHL at 12:37 on Monday to enquire about a timeslot, they said they would not be sending one but a driver would be coming. I called again at 17:05 as the parcel had still not been collected and I was informed that a driver had attempted collection but no one was home. This is a blatant lie as my father was in the kitchen/living room all day which faces the front of the house and no one came to the house apart from the postman that day. Since the parcel was supposed to be delivered the next day, I wanted to solve this as soon as possible and called again at 17:45. I was advised by Jago that I could drop it off at a nearby service point on Highfield Road S41 7HS so it could still be delivered the next day but I would have to organise this via the send.dhl website as he could not do this for me. When I tried to do this, the service point he mentioned was not available so I selected the next closest one which was on Sheffield Road S41 8LL and ordered a next day delivery service from this service point (DHL10433029-147068). Unfortunately, after a quick Google search for the exact location of this service point, I found out it was permanently closed. After calling DHL again and being put on hold on numerous occasions , I was able to arrange another next day collection from another service point on Hasland Road S41 0AG (DHL10433276-1470724) and I was advised to request a refund for the previous orders (which I have still not received). When my father dropped off the parcel at this service point, the shop owner scanned it and said DHL were the worst courier service but at this stage, it was already too late for me to change.
To cut a very long story short, to this day, my parcel has still not been delivered after a month (from 20th November- 20th December) and in between I have made 20 calls to DHL regarding this, sent live messages via the website, emailed the customer service when no one was available on the livechat, sent messages via Facebook and called the service point regarding my parcel, which from my last phone conversation on Monday 14th December with DHL, has now been lost. I was told that on Tuesday 24th November, a driver had attempted collection at 12:32 but was not successful giving the reason “collection refused”. The second attempt was made again on Monday 30th November at 18:53 but “not ready” was the reason given by the driver. The third attempt was made on Friday 1st December at 12:55 and again “not ready” was the reason given. The shop owner at the service point has CCTV footage of the parcel being collected and he has contacted PayPoint who will be investigating this. He is extremely furious with DHL because it affects his business’s reputation and caused him considerable stress with previous customers who experienced something similar. He has advised me to use the other courier services which he acts as a service point for as he will no longer be receiving parcels for DHL after this nightmare.
After chasing DHL for updates, I was informed that an investigation and a search had been carried out and since the parcel could not be found, I would need to make a claim. This is still ongoing, no replies to my emails or messages and no parcel for my customer. The amount of time I have wasted on making phone calls and being put on hold (sometimes the line drops!) is unbelievable- not to mention the considerable amount of stress and frustration it has caused as well as the loss of my parcel and the impact it has on my customers. I will NEVER be using DHL again and STRONGLY ADVISE others not to do so in future!
This is the first time I have ever felt such strong compelling urge to leave a negative review like this. If 0 stars was an option I would have selected this even though the service I have experienced warrants a sub zero rating!”
