“Tried to sell tickets for a game that was rescheduled to a date I could not make it to. Spent two days on with customer service trying to repost them. They could never fix the problem and said sorry that’s all we can do. Then when I asked to speak to someone else to resolve this issue they told me to write a letter to their legal team. No email address, phone number….they only accept mail. Terrible service will never purchase anything from them again.”
“You keep emailing me asking for pictures and a review with no option to unsubscribe, acting as if *I* STILL owe *you* something additional after those service fees you charged. Our business transaction has concluded.”
“StubHub is horrible about refunding your money if an event is cancelled. They sell their tickets to Ticketmaster so it's best to just purchase your tickets from Ticketmaster to cut the middle man. I have been trying to get my my back for weeks and have filed a complaint with BBB.”
“Horrible company. Selling tickets that aren't on sale with no way to confirm if they are real and no way to get money back. No way to contact the seller and horrible customer service.”
“If I could give ZERO STARS I would. I had no idea that StubHub ONLY resells other people's tickets. We paid over $600 for friends (from out of town) to see a concert with us. The site kept telling me the location had not released the tickets yet. Then the day of the concert, it told me they would not be released until 4pm. At 6pm we still didn't have tickets. I called support and they told me they had to send me an email with options because the ticket owners never released the tickets. The email options were to find another set of seats, but the concert was sold out, so our only option was to get a refund. WTH!? How can you spend that kind of money and not get your seats? If you don't have the tickets don't sell them! I will NEVER EVER USE STUBHUB AGAIN. It is a lie and a scam!”
“How can they sell your tickets without even sending confirmation of your listing and the price you requested?and to tell you,you have to go in after you listed your tickets and ensure you uncheck the dynamic pricing feature…pretty sad..”
“I’m writing to express my extreme disappointment and frustration regarding my recent experience with your platform.
After purchasing tickets through StubHub, I retrieved them via email, accepted them, and used the platform to share one ticket with my guest. They received the email but when clicking the provided link, no ticket was available. I sent screenshots clearly showing what my guest received and the error displayed, proving the failure was on StubHub’s system.
Despite this, your team told me, “there’s nothing we can do” and refused to issue a refund. When I requested to speak with a supervisor, I was told due to high call volume, that wasn’t possible. I was effectively left with no solution, no accountability from your side, and out over $400 while missing the concert entirely.
This is unacceptable. I paid in good faith, followed the process, and provided proof when it failed”
“Absolutely unacceptable experience – ruined a special night
I spent $1,600 on two club-level tickets through StubHub to see the Lakers play the Magic—a gift for my son’s 14th birthday. The seller never released the tickets. I then spent 40 minutes on the phone with customer service, desperately trying to resolve the issue while missing the entire first quarter of the game.
Their solution? A pair of “comfortable” replacement seats, which, while technically closer to the court, were in the middle of the section—a location I would never choose. We were wedged in among strangers, with no aisle access or privacy, which completely defeated the purpose of paying premium prices for a curated experience.
To top it all off, they offered a $25 coupon as compensation. That’s not even 2% of what I paid. It was an insult—especially considering the time lost, the frustration endured, and most importantly, the fact that a milestone birthday gift for my son was thoroughly ruined.
StubHub showed zero regard for customer experience, and absolutely no meaningful accountability. I will never use them again, and I’d strongly urge anyone considering it to think twice.”
“This company is a joke. Worst customer service, no one speaks English. I am so angry I don't even have the patience for a detailed review, but suffice it to say after 12 days, numerous chats, and daily calls of up to 1 hour with a non native speaker who clearly didn't understand my issue, the problem is not resolved. I can't stand this company. It's everything wrong with corporations today.”
“Did not get my tickets before the event started. When I got tickets 1.5 hours after the event started. They were not an upgrade as promised.
Customer service is almost impossible to reach and when you do reach them, you wish you hadn't. Awfull!”
“The site is horrible and very hard to use. There is NO customer service. The site is slow and non-responsive. Buying and selling tickets is nearly impossible. If you buy tickets as a guest you are unable to sell your tickets which they do not tell you up front. Use MLB or ticketmaster but be ready for some super high fees. The fees are nearly 50% of the ticket price.”
“You have to report problems when they happen. I got tickets to a show and paid extra for parking. The parking ticket did not work. So I tried and emailed them to try and figure it out, mind you this is right before the show. I'm not gonna pause my attendance to get this figured out. I figured I could just do it the next day since they will see that I didn't use it. Also i believe the seller was fake.”
“I never received my ticket. I waited my whole life to see this musical and I thought the only way I was going to see it was in Japan. They finally brought it to Los Angeles and my dreams are shattered because of stubhub. They are horrible. It was my first time ordering from them and now it's the last time cause I will never order from them ever again.”
