“Aldi's does not stand by it's food products that are delivered by delivery services. They pass the buck and tell you that the delivery service is responsible for the quality of their products because they bought the contract.
BE FOREWARNED....unless you plan on putting a claim in right away with the delivery service, you will not receive a refund for a bad food item.”
“The issue with Aldi is they are sending the goods on time, but the companies who are then to deliver the items have too much demand and not enough staff or vans to deal with deman. I've had a birthday wine parcel sitting at Yodel depot in Kilmarnock since 4th November and still no movement and its 9th November. My friends birthday was 8th and I have been online several times to Yodel via Web chat and they keep stating same information the company has overload in parcels waiting for deliveries! Appalling service”
“Ordered two items online item shipped with Hermes. Over a week later the items still hadn't arrived and as always with Hermes the status was updated every day but no actual movement. I contacted Aldi Customer Service whose basic response was that there was nothing they could do about it. So I asked about a refund they said no refund till they had item back I said I had no control over the item as it's impossible to talk to Hermes, answer was the same till they got the item back no refund. So basically if the item isn't delivered or returned you still have to pay for it. Latest, items supposedly being returned to Aldi but no refund or replacement offered only if the item physically arrives will I get my money back. What's really disappointing is the attitude of staff they really don't care and give the impression that you buy from them it's their rules and if you don't like it that's tough.”
“Generally, we have been happy with Aldi, but today we had a disgusting experience. The advertisement had turkey on sale for $0.87 a pound. When we got there, the only turkeys that were at that price were 20 pounds or heavier. Anything less was TWICE as much--about $1.70 per pound! I checked the advertisement and there was no hint that this was the case. Now, you have to treat Aldi like everybody else, not an honest store.”
“Aldi yeovil...whenever you buy milk there within 2 days it goes off,no point just going in for a couple of items the lines are too long Tesco maybe a bit more pricey but a least you know what your getting”
“i bought a shoulder of lamb on sat 30/ at £ 18.90 for a family dinner it was the worst joint of meat I,ve ever tried all fat gristle 90% went straight in the bin.as a regular customer I have learned a lesson to avoid aldi meat products. to late to return but will not buy again.”
“Got sms to collect between 12-14.00 but parcel not there. Hermes driver came and left without leaving a parcel. No.communication from Hermes no human behind telephone number as tracking number failed to proceed call. Day 3 still no communication from them. Hermes is a joke. Provide costumer with human telephone number no computer. Give people option to.colect from local depo. 72 hours for email response from you is appalling service is standard for Hermes UK. Tracking system not updated for 3 days and no parcel.”
“Pink Grapefruit
My wife and I are long term Aldi customers and generally what they sell is very good. We regularly buy their pink grapefruit but in the past months have found them to be bruised and soft and taste well past their sell buy date. This applies to more than one of their stores. I wonder if anyone else is experiencing anything similar?”
“I ordered 8 bottles of spirits online, this comes with a standard £4.95 delivery charge. A lot but I thought if I'm buying 8 bottles it's not too bad.
Without any options I was just notified that 6 of the bottles I'd ordered have been cancelled/out of stock?
So I'm receiving 2 of the 8 bottles I ordered plus that delivery charge of £4.95
Absolutely ridiculous, I wasn't offered any other option. I couldn't even find a link to cancel or complain, If this isn't resolved I'll never be going back to Aldi.”
“We returned an online order which was faulty on 7th September.
Still waiting on our refund!!
We have made many calls, had many promises and apologies.
Today we are told we need to wait another 14 days!!
Disappointed and disgusted is an understatement!!!”
“Aldi does little if anything to make life easier for those with disabilities. The Aldi closest to me has only one motorized cart. There is no one who helps you to your car so the cart can be returned for charging. I have emailed and spoken with Aldi management and nothing has changed. Will nor be going back.”
“Your coleslaw was all root end and inedible. The advocado “ripe to eat was as solid as a rock and inedible. Looked forward to my dinner and spoilt by having to spit out the food that was inedible”
“I have been trying to return a heavy large item to Aldi. Pick up has been arrange 5 times, on each occasion the carrier XDP has failed to turn up. I am at my wits end dealing with Aldi Cust Service.”
“Your prices for dry goods are very good. However, your produce stinks.
Strawberries with mold. Grapes shriveled. I just purchased asparagus. That night I opened the bag. The tips were mush. Your bananas are bruised because you put them in a big box and those in the bottom get crushed. I don’t buy your fruits and vegetables.”
“Regularly shop at the Coulsdon store. Items very competively priced and generally good value. Shoppers need to check sell by dates carefully though on perishable foodstuffs as often they are only within date for a couple of days.
Very disappointed with their soft fruit such as strawberries, raspberries, blueberries etc. Found much of it rotten so now don't purchase this from Aldi anymore.
Unlike competitors, store doesnt have an express till for people who just need to get a basket of groceries or a few items.”
“Thinking or ordering Aldi Wine on line - well don't!
You may have paid for wine but you won't get it.
You might get someone else's.
And Aldi might insist you wait in for days as they repeatedly fail to come and collect.
But you wont gert what you paid over £100 for.
The "customer services team" are officious to the point of hysterical.
And if you tell them you have a call logger that proves they did not try and call when they said, then they shout that you had better not have recorded the call (and all their gaffs) and hang up on you.
The rest of the time they promise to have resubmitted your order when they haven't.
In my expirience, Aldi are consistentantly a bad company. Out of date food on shelves, long queues, rude staff. zeros customer service.
Hardly any cheaper that other mainstream shops now yet they think they can treat people anyway they like.”
