“Well I never. This is not poets corner it is a review site. Another fake one. The trolley rolled from aisle to aisle? What sort of aldi store do you work in? Is the floor that uneven? Obviously, as you would not say so. PLEASE folks, keep it to genuine reviews and not vivid imaginations.”
“A mum came in from pouring rain
Her shopping trolly soggy.
She had to make her money spread.
Her mood was low and groggy.
The trolley rolled from aisle to aisle.
The items they were many.
By checkout time, her smile sublime.
She'd saved a pretty penny.
Her Aldi store had cheered her up.
The savings ultra snappy
For date night wine and healthy food
And Baby's comfy nappy.”
“Three more put up reviews. I refer to the last three. If staff are going to do this do at least write them to look like they are authentic. We all know what a nasty company this is, and yes, you may find one or two staff who stand out for kindness. This however does not make for a good overall experience. Has everyone forgotten how this company treat the elderly and less able at the checkouts? have you ever seen an elderly lady frightened to go into her local aldi (small "a" deliberate)? Why? Because she was afraid what would happen to her at the checkout. How do I now? Because I stopped and asked her what was wrong as she looked so worried. What a disgrace. This was at the DOVER store in KENT.”
“We were prevented to have bags until the guy finished scanning all of our shopping. He whispered to us that they were trained to do so and say to costumers to pack their shopping on the side after paying, but he took his headset off of his head before saying this. This happened at aldi at marton road, Middlesbrough.”
“Great service at Aldi Whitstable lovely manager Courtney who i have known since his first day on till always happy ,friendly, and very polite good customer service. Credit to this store. Well done Whitstable.l”
“You cant better aldi for great quality and price can't stand the moaners, go back to tesco and the other over priced stores, super market snobbery, thats all it is, let them pay the price inflated prices elswhere j”
“Great shopping trip today at my Spennymoor branch with a lovely cashier called Anita to help me. Nice friendly store with loads of willing staff...brilliant, thank you.”
“Well that one flies in the face of all the others stating just how dreadful their delivery service is. We know who to believe don't we. My guess is that Lidl stay away from home delivery for one very good reason.....no comebacks from angry customers who wait in for non or late delivery, which Aldi are famous for.”
“Excellent value for money and you can purchase online, unlike Lidl! The delivery is free over £20 spent and is always prompt. Food is good value and usually excellent quality. Wish there was a branch closer to me and I would be using it a great deal more.”
“I first discovered Aldi about 2010, when I moved to Llandrindod Wells. They had super products, which sometimes disappeared, only to reappear at M&S at 3 times the price. They obviously had some really brilliant buyers.
Then 2 or 3 years ago, it felt like the accountants took over, and since then the quality of the goods has gone down and down.
I love the Llandod shop and the staff are brilliant, but the range is shrinking and I am slowly buying more and more of my groceries from their competitors - pity really. I was their greatest advocate - I used to recommend them to everyone. But alas, they seem to me no longer the great value they once were.”
“I am now an Aldi convert from tesco the goods on offer are superb the freshness of the produce is astounding, nicely set out store with easily accesible shelving lots to choose from very quick till exit would i go back to tesco........no way.
Couple of things aldi could do......a self checkout or maybe a quick till exit for people with hand baskets as sometimes you get behind a few people with carts full.
Shame aldi dont do petrol as they could clean up.”
“I think the last review was a put up job personally. If it was really this good where are all the other reviews regarding it. Aldi have more negative reviews than any other supermarket. "Super" is one thing it is not.”
“I live in the LE3 district and have easy access to several Aldi stores but my favourite Aldi is the Leicester Aldi Woodgate.
It's a clean and safe store with everything I needed for my weekly shop
The store is well organised with good visual display of stocks and within easy reach.
The shelves are always well replenished with fresh quality produce.
The staff are so hard working - Lax, Leanne, Reuben, Carole, Donna and several other staff whom I am sorry to say I do not know their names.
The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and their action and behaviour has made a great deal of difference to the store. Their excellent approach to customer, excellent communication skills as well as their problem solving skills have an excellent positive impact on customers needing some assistance.
The store manager should also be credited for the good selection of quality-mix of staff who have definitely make my shopping at Leicester Woodgate Aldi MY FAVOURITE ALDI!
Well done”
“Aldi and Yodel... bad combination
Missed delivery of wine (10 bottles) so was asked to collect from Yodel depot ... went to collect to be told all bottles smashed.
Rang Aldi ... no problem with reorder ... arranged free Saturday delivery due to inconvenience caused . Arranged for delivery to parents as I wasn’t around at weekend. .... no wine delivered .... still waiting.
Called Sunday ... where is the wine ... no problem I was told .. it’s on the van for Monday (tracking will update overnight). Monday morning ... no update in tracking so called customer services ... where is the wine? No problem I was told ... it’s on the van for delivery today. Great! Made arrangements to have neighbours sign for parcel. Lunch time ... checked tracking ... indicated wine was not on van so rang customer services.
Received an apology this time .... wine not on the van no reason why I should have been told anything other.
By this time patience was running out ... asked to speak with a mgr ... was told I would be added to a ‘call list’ for a call later today!
So now .... still waiting for wine ... and still waiting for a manager to call.
What a load o£&@£.... Aldi ... you just lost a wine customer!!”
