Horrible company! Treat their sellers like garbage. They are customer focussed at the expense of their sellers. If you are not FBA they will push your items to the bottom but to be in the FBA programme you end up losing a lot of money plus they refund items that shoudnt be refunded leaving massive losses. They are constantly working against sellers so that they can have more buyers at the sellers expense. Sponsored products is another ploy to get sellers to waste massive fnds and at the end sellers find that they are working for Amazon and making massive losses at the end of the day. When you add up all the cost of selling and advertising the Amazon is actually making more than 30% of the sale price. Customers - this is why you spend more on goods purchased on Amazon, its not becauseits better quality! Honest.

Kept making attempts to place my orders for all of September 2019. Every time I’d go through all the processes, checkout and receive order confirmation emails. Almost immediately after, cancellation emails would flood in stating Amazon UK had a problem charging my card, and to contact my bank. I did. Bank checked my card (same one I have used on Amazon UK for 3 years now) and it was perfectly fine for online purchases. I even proceeded to place other online orders with it from another retailer the next day and the orders were dispatched. Card was charged just fine. I tried other troubleshooting options like deleting my card and saving its details again, checking my security and profile details, etc. and all are perfectly in order. Funny thing is, items not dispatched by Amazon but other sellers under those bulk orders were charged and dispatched just fine. Only Amazon ‘sold and dispatched’ items kept being cancelled using this flimsy ‘couldn’t charge your card’ reason. Contacted their customer service all week beginning 30th Sept to date (6th Oct). Three customer service associate chats and endless follow ups later have yielded nothing regarding why my orders keep being cancelled. One time I got an email response! Hallelujah! From ‘account verification’, but they only gave feedback on one (1) out of the 4 cancelled orders I had complained about all week totalling thousands of pounds saying they had to cancel it because they couldn’t verify ‘some of my information and if I so wish, I may re-order the items.’ Naturally I emailed back as this is the only workable response I’ve have received from Amazon.UK customer service throughout this whole ordeal. Asking what this information they couldn’t verify is as my card is working just fine for orders even on their platform that aren’t sold and dispatched by them; had worked excellently for orders on other online sites; my bank had confirmed is authorised for all kinds of purchases; and that I’ve used this card for years on their platform, including this year, with no issue. And what’s worse, this time they had cancelled 4 orders and charged my card even though they allege they couldn’t charge it and that was the basis for cancellation! Now it was an information verification issue? Alas! So what info is this they cannot verify yet they are emailing me through the address on my profile and have been chatting with me all week? And two, if I attempt to re-order like they have so graciously suggested I do (as if that’s not what I’ve been doing all month?), will I go through this headache all over again? Is this authentication problem now resolved on their backend because the problem is obviously their platform and not my card or details?! Their customer support seems hardly empowered to assist in anything as I keep getting apologies for ‘all the inconvenience they have caused me’ and being referred to some amorphous “relevant team that will get back to me in 24-48 hrs” and which does not, and has not, unless I keep pushing, and on the one attempt they did, only gave me scanty unhelpful auto-generated information! What is most irksome is I needed these items and some of them are now out of stock or no longer available with no promise of being re-stocked by the various vendors anytime in the foreseeable future. I have been an ardent user and fan of Amazon UK since 2014 and always waxed lyrical about their amazing and efficient service. Clearly it is only amazing until you need to contact them with a real issue! I have used Amazon US only just in August this year for several other purchases and also not had an issue. Why Amazon UK doesn’t seem to value its customers in this way puzzles me. Especially since I’m making purchases worth thousands of pounds. These are not small ticket items to warrant this level of indifference. I do not foresee a future engagement with this platform ever again after this kind of pointless frustration. It even smirks of incompetence or plain disdain for a customer. Shame!

Shocking, confusing, incorrect, poor service, Ordered 4 of the same item for next day delivery. Order was placed in 1 x transaction. Have received 4 confirmation emails, 4 it's been despatched emails and 4 it's out for delivery emails. No delivery. Contacted amazon. 'There's been a problem. It will be delivered by tomorrow'. Wasn't delivered. Received 2 emails saying it's been damaged check to see if you've been refunded. Does that mean 2 items are damaged and 2 not? I can't check if I've been refunded as they are on a credit card and the statement comes monthly? Still haven't received the 2 that haven't been damaged. Farce from beginning to end. Note these are sets of tiles and 2 sets are no good as I need 4? Just received 2 more emails asking if I would like to buy again! Couldn't make it up.

I have been with Amazon for years! Always promoted them and said how good they were. However when a push came to a shove, Amazon left me hi and dry on customer service, whilst I can see they tried I still feel goodwill would have overtaken. I am set in my ways being in business myself and with that service I will not deal with them again or ever recommend them to friends, family or the thousands of members we have on our books. You were a total let down this time Amazon, for the sake of a few quid?????? (PS, I am not a moaner, look at all my reviews they are mainly positive and honest).

Very poor. Offered me a too good to be true price on a Waldorf KB37 Keyboard (half the retail price) stating the product was temporarily out of stock. I didn't worry as the product is widely available and is still in production. I trusted Amazon to deliver. But no, after 3 weeks they cancelled my order stating the item was unavailable and they couldn't source stock. I sent an email of complaint. I asked them if they had tried to source stock from the manufacturer but they ignored the question (I guess because I can check that too easily and being honest is no longer their policy). They also wanted to ring me. I told them no, I wanted to deal with this via email so that I had a record of what was said. They went ahead and tried to phone me anyway, despite me telling them that was not the way I wanted to communicate. Of course the phone number was unlisted, so my phone automatically sent it to voice mail. And each time I emailed them, I got the same sort of copy and pasted stock answer. The people sending the email didn't really read my complaint and have offered no solution. They will not reinstate my order even though the product is widely available, and even available on Amazon by a third party. The real reason is that they never intended to fulfil the order in the first place. For some shady reason (probably to get rid of a third party seller) they put an advert out for a low price on product they never intended to get in stock in the first place. Temporarily out of stock means just that, expecially when the product is very much in production. I've order synthesizers from other retailers that were temporarily out of stock, and my order was never cancelled. If I had to wait a while and contacted the retailer I always got a reassuring answer from a human being not a robot, and those smaller retailers fulfilled their obligation and delivered what they promised. Amazon used to have great customer service when I signed up for them in 2004, but not any more. I've sent 9 emails and I'm still no nearer getting a resolution from them. Poor and shady service with robotic customer service emails. It's also now almost impossible to find an email address for them on their website (it used to be easy to find). I had to go onto live chat to find it. This is another sign of a company that has no interest any longer in customer service.

I've been a loyal customer and prime member for years. I ordered a kayak on prime and was glad to see it was dispatched the next day for delivery in two days. It didnt arrive. Half the order was missing from the dispatch and when I checked online the delivery had been pushed back 10 days. I called Amazon who gave me a £10 voucher and promised it would be delivered within 24 hours. It still didnt arrive. I was then offered a refund that would take 7-10 days to process back. Amazon UK are now using Hermes for delivery. Don't expect any parcels to arrive on time. If you live in an Amazon delivery area you'll be fine. But out with, beware. Hermes are notorious for losing parcels and being late.

I am lost for words on how terrible amazon is. Short if it is thousands were stolen from my mothers account in 'coins', asked for a refund from Amazon, spoke to customer service almost everyday for weeks, told every time we would get a call back next day, never did. Countless emails sent detailing all fraudulent transactions only auto replies given. Mother inconsolable. Finally told by Amazon the bank would give the money back to her and it would be charged back to merchants. Bank refunded her the stolen money within a week, then the bank obviously charged it back to the merchant, as Amazon said they would, oh yes Amazon is the merchant. Her account is blocked by Amazon soon after and she receives countless emails saying she owes them money for the coins and her account will remain blocked until she pays. She emails and explains the situation over and over and over, auto email replies. You couldn't make this up. Just called Amazon to complain again, said we would hear back in 24hrs. I mean its actually laughable with this company there is no customer support. How can they not see the cycle of events, its like you start all over again every time you speak to someone...just flabbergasted at this point.

I returned a faulty triple WiFi Mesh System which was picked up by their appointed courier, Hermes. It was an Amazon Warehouse deal, possibly a previous faulty return. After a week of me not being able to track the parcel on the Hermes website, I decided to contact Amazon. In their reply they kept insisting the parcel was still in transit. After another 2 weeks Amazon contacted me to say that they only received 1 of the 3 WiFi mesh units. Amazon are refusing to refund me unless they receive the other 2 units. I have told them that I returned all 3 units in the package. Still they are refusing to process the refund insisting on receiving the other 2 units that I do not have. I was a long standing Prime customer and have now ended my Prime membership.

I purchased a Rotisserie oven from DISCOUNT IN LTD through Amazon and when i got it there were no cooking instructions inside, so i wanted to return it, being disabled i by most of my goods on line" the seller told me to take the appliance to the Post Office - it was over 11 kg very big and impossible to carry and the Post Office would not accept a parcel that big. When i told the seller they said to get my refund i would have to arrange my own courier as they would not pay for the return postage which was just under £10.00 All i can say that this is really bad customer service and i advise people not to use this company - EVER, especially disabled people. There were no problems with the couriers i just didn't want to pay for it.

They were double charging me for prime. Took me literally 5 days of them acknowledging that them taking my money made no sense, 5 days of them telling me to go talk to the american amazon after my emails were forwarded to them 3 times with no response (also its worth noting im not american) before i finally managed to get them to give me the £45 back. 5 days of persisting back and forth and them non-stop parroting a script at me to get my money back, that they acknowledged should not have been taken from me in the first place from the first email response they sent me. 5 days. And then to top it all of when i made a complaint to the manager (person called Shakir K) of these customer service people who were beyond useless he told me i should go make my complaint to the american amazon, despite the fact that im not american, dont live in america, dont have an american amazon account, and was making a complaint about the UK customer service. This was honest to god one of the most mind numbing, brain rotting, stress inducing experiences i have ever had.
