Hi all, just thought i'd post and share my utter frustration with my latest experience with Amazon. In brief, i purchased an item which could not be posted through my letterbox and also required signature as proof of delivery. The item was to be delivered the next day (Saturday) as confirmed upon checkout on Amazons site and then on the confirmation email, it stated Tuesday. I then called through to the actual retailer and they confirmed this is some issue at Amazons end, which i find it hard to believe as an "issue", as Amazon dont just make mistakes, its all done purposely. I continued with the purchase under the guarantee that it will be delivered by Tuesday. Tuesday came and no delivery. I called the retailer again rather than Amazon, as Amazon is slooow to respond and i need answers quick. The retailer called the courier (DHL) and they confirmed delivery for the Wednesday. We, as a family, then went away for one week as the children were off from school and upon our return, there was no proof of attempted delivery for our item. I called the retailer and they confirmed that the delivery was made, and someone had signed for it. i asked for proof of signature and the signature was clearly not mine or anyone from my household nor my neighbours. Even if it was my neighbours then the proof of attempted delivery should advise that item was left with that neighbour, but nothing. Now, Amazon have rejected my claim for refund, even though the item is showing as “one the way, but its running late” and when I choose the option Track Package, it reads – “Your package may be lost” . this is a clear case of fraud as my item is not with me and i am now out of pocket for £429. I believe the courier has signed on my behalf and i now refuse to do any further business with Amazon, but i will fight this until i get my money back. Appalling Amazon and sheer arrogance

Terrible customer services. Prime? well it does not work and the products are not quality. Received products that seem to have been used before with bits missing. When I underline the above they went mad, so not only bad quality but also an attitude problem. No no removing myself from this silly little store who has no complaint procedures in place.

Amazon created thier own order for a Fire Place for £175.00 in November. I equipped and they said it was a mistake so they canceled it. A month later they took my money our of my account without my permission and tried to deliver the item I rejected the item and closed my money back through my bank. A week later Amazon claimed the money back saying the order was genuine. My bank gave it back to them . By this time the item was already back in.thier warehouse and the personell confirmed this . So now I am 175.00 pounds down and nothing to show for it. I tried over two months to get money back but Amazon customers service and managers have done nothing and each time in broken English as they don understand a word I am saying ate continuesly saying it was claimed back so I sent a letter to them from my bank showing clearly the money was sent back to them but there still saying they don't have it. Iam 175.00 pounds missing for nothing to show for it. 5 months later and they have stole my money and I have stopped shopping with them. A fraudulent company no wonder thier worth billions how they operate !!

Driver lied about my item being delivered but it never was! Prime account, I was waiting at home for hours, all of the sudden status changed to delivered to letter box whilst I was standing outside! Nobody there! Ridiculous! On the top of that when I called customer service they treated me like I stole the parcel and tried to claim the money back!

Amazon makes customers pay for their own errors. Amazon refused to return payment of a pair of €150 boots that was returned to them using their provided return label. Because they have not "registered the return". The carrier have confirmed that the parcel was delivered and Amazon refuses to acknowledge the fact even though I, as a customer, have prooved that the parcel have indeed been delivered. Their Customer Support makes you run in circles. They're looking for dead ends to guide you into. And they have no trust in their customers. They even refuse to sign a document provided by the carrier to confirm they are the supposed recipients, and this keeps from engaging in further investigations together with the carrier. We're talking medieval-level poor customer experience. I will dissuade everyone I know from using Amazon.co.uk. And I will stop from using them myself.

Paid for Amazon prime, delivery driver lost the item. 5 days later and customer service is still “investigating” I have no product and money has been taken. They have no idea when or if O may get a replacement or a refund. Avoid!

I've spent many thousands of pounds buying products from Amazon UK but I will never buy from them again. Too many products they sell are mis-described in listings, photos and often the customer reviews are not even for the product listed. Their latest trick is to keep changing or delaying delivery dispatch and arrival times. I believe they are trying to force me to pay extra for their "Prime" service which offers faster delivery. But why should I when by their own admission half the products they sell are from market place traders and are not covered by the Prime service? They either use way too much packaging or not enough and many of their cheap far east products don't even do the job they list. There are plenty more choices online other than Amazon and I use them with no hassle or delays. Amazon are too big for their boots now and show a blatant disregard for their loyal customers.

Amazon is great until you get a problem and then their indifference and poor customer service really lets them down. I recently bought two solar lights, only one of which worked. I submitted a poor review and then got emails direct from the selling company- something Amazon says doesn’t happen. Absolutely no response to my complaint. I then ordered a specific item, fulfilled by Amazon, which I chose based on good reviews. I was sent a similar product but of a different make and supplier (though still fulfilled by Amazon) which I had to keep as I couldn’t afford the delay that a return would entail. I suspect Amazon was offloading a slow moving product but, once again, no response from Amazon to my complaint.

Had a £50 gift card. Bought stuff for my daughter with it however, instead of Amazon using the gift they took the money out of my bank which I did not have. Rang multiple times and they would not refund the money back to my bank and use the gift card that is already on the account. I have since deactivated my prime membership along with my account. It is absolutely ridiculous and the customer service is horrible!!!

In January I tried to order Nicorette spray. As I am in Thailand it was impossible to have it delivered to me so I entered a friend’s London address and mobile number for delivery. At checkout it was impossible to reject the “free” Amazon Prime membership. I entered my credit card and billing info (Canadian cardholder). The checkout was completed and I saw that Amazon had initiated a charge against my credit card because I had a nominal foreign exchange charge registered on my card. The following day I received an email requesting that I forward to Amazon’s secure web portal a screenshot of my credit card account in order to prove ownership of the account. I replied that I would never send such information to anyone. I noted that my bank has rigorous fraud protection protocols. I also asked why they didn’t request the ccv code as proof of ownership. Over the following days I received two more emails stating my shipment was delayed until I provided the information. I replied that rather than sending repeat emails they should read the response I already sent. Maybe two days later I received an email stating that my account was locked and no future transactions would be permitted. I replied that I found the company’s business model to be unacceptable and that I would never do business with them again. I further demanded that they refrain from billing me for their bullsh$# Prime (non) service forced upon me at checkout. So never received the product, nor any further communication. Today I checked my bank account and Amazon has billed me for their Prime Service. Unbelievable!!! What a dishonest company....would not send my order because could not verify the validity of my credit card, but no problem charging me for their Prime Service 1 day delivery. What a bad joke!

So I have been using amazon for the past two years and I have never left a review as I just couldn’t be bothered. For once, I wrote a review as I actually liked the product but then later receiving a message on amazon saying that I won’t be able to post any more reviews as I was violating against the policies. I called them a few times later receiving an e mail saying that I ever the had a relationship with some seller, or I was getting free or discounted stuff and that’s the reason I was posting a good review and also my account had been banned from writing a reiview ever since. What really pisses me off is that there is always a botton there where you can choose to leave a review but when I do, I get a ban. After called them 10 times and speaking to 5 different managers, about a month after the issue. What I got told on the phone was basically, ‘we will not provide you with anymore information, we will not prove anything to you and the decision is final, happy or not, deal with with it’ how bad does it sound? All I asked was, if they are ‘determined’ I was violating against their 3 policies like I have said above, prove it to me that I actually know the seller or I was getting free stuff? But no, I don’t get any and I have to deal with it. The very last manager that I spoke to had a terrible attitude and they don’t treat you like customers.
