Absolutely shocking customer service. Sell faulty potentially dangerous item and rather than replace mess you around with hours long time slots from the manufacturers engineer. You do not buy brand new goods to have to put up with this! Will never be buying from them again. Still haven’t sorted faulty item!!!!

Ordered on Sunday. Delivery scheduled on Tuesday, morning slot 7am-12pm. Delivery arrived just before 12pm and they refused to deliver fridge freezer into the property as safety gate for kids on the top of the stairs was not taken off. My husband was trying to take off the gate quickly and half of the gate was off when delivery gentlemen decided to leave without leaving the new fridge freezer with the comment from one of the drivers that "Time is money!". Apparently they have 10 min slot to deliver item and to take old one.... No comment! My husband was left with half gate off hanging on two bottom screws... I arrived home ten minutes after as I went out to bring a cake for my son's 1st birthday tomorrow, not knowing that fridge freezer is not going to be delivered today and that destiny of that cake is going to be uncertain. I called them strait away to ask to try to bring fridge today as my husband took off security gate and their answer was that is not possible. I mean, I live in zone 3 in London, how far you could get in literary 10 min that you can't turn back. I would not complain if it was any other appliance, but fridge is essential specially when you have two small kids, and reason for choosing ao.com was because quick delivery. How bad judgement, how bad choice, now I see. No correct customer service, wrong drivers attitude. Apparently they will deliver tomorrow morning. Until then my dinning room and kitchen look like storage as we had to pack hallway and stairs staff away. Let us prepare for son's 1st Birthday now. So awful and disappointing from you ao.com. Will avoid you in a future in a large diameter.

Would have given 0 stars but no option for that Placed order for washing machine, tumble dryer and microwave Payment was taken delivery date given Date came nothing delivered Phoned Ao told order had been cancelled money returned to bank next day Reordered items but this time charged 5 tines the amount all in pending changes with bank Order cancelled again Now been waiting 5 days for money to go back into account In mean time orders items from CURRYS no problem items delivered Today AO. Try’d to deliver items even though cancelled!! Rang AO they can not understand why items have been delivered when they them selfs cancelled the order AO GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER TAKE A LOOK AT CURRYS EXCELLENT SERVICE UNLIKE AO AO DISGUSTING SERVICE DONT USE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE MESSED ABOUT AND CHARGED 4 or 5 TIMES FOR ITEMS

If I could give it a minus score I would. Having already paid for a TV and washing machine (£968), and someone waiting in all day for delivery, the items did not arrive. On contacting AO, I was told there was a security issue, and they could not send the items. No email/text or phone call to say anything was wrong, and no money back for 3 to 5 days (they said I would have to wait, they can't help me), (funny how quickly they actually took the money) So now I will have to wait a week before I can get anything sorted. They staff were nice, the system is S***.

My Samsung appliance didn’t arrive even though I had paid for delivery between 12 and 5 no call from ao to say delivery was not even coming although Webb site kept saying don’t worry your item is next to be delivered. This went on till 7.30 in the evening (meaning I missed an evening wedding reception) when the Webb site completely took the delivery off the internet. Couldn’t get through to their call centre and when I did was promised a call back but this never happened. In the morning tried to ring them but wasn’t able to get through until I pretended to be a new customer, very very poor service would never use again. Have no fridge now having to rely on neighbour but ironically she was going to buy exact product from ao but guess what she has changed her mind.

1st phone call the night before to say no delivery 2nd guaranteed delivery and fitting 5 days later with no show 3rd rescheduled to 2 days later and couldn't fit...and offered another item with fitting? Very disappointed for first time experience

Terrible customer service. They rescheduled the delivery booked 2 weeks in advance because their van was too big for our street - a normal street in Hackney where you can easily park 2 vans. They could not carry the washing machine with the trolley for half block and park in the main street either because it was hard to find parking! Result: rescheduled to next day, half day of work lost, having to wake up at 7am on a bank holiday weekend because the delivery window is from 7 to 12, an unapologetic operator at the phone. I still wonder why a company which delivers product in London does it with oversized vans - and again, the street was not a small at all!

Absolutely garbage service. Delivery men refused to deliver up 2 flights of stairs, even though there's plenty of room, how do they think the existing appliances got up there!? I will never use again. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Ordered a washing machine and fridge from Boots website. Booked for old appliances to be removed. AO delivery van arrived this morning and the guys refused to deliver! Reasons were that access was difficult, although we live in a bog-standard Victoria terrace and would have provided any info requested (none was). Hopeless response from delivery control centre. The men drove off having done nothing. We have now taken our old machine to the dump ourselves (amazingly got it out of the house without problems!) and have no replacement. Will avoid AO like the plague in future. Boots customer line was very polite and will get back to us about rearrangements. Meantime it's the laundrette for us.....

They turned a simple fault on a new dishwasher turned into a saga. I spent hours, if not days, trying to explain what was wrong with photos and explanations. I don't think I have ever encountered a company so wrapped up on procedure, which then turns out to be so ineffective. They appear to genuinely believe they are doing a good job. So bad they make Currys look good.

Terrible service. This company do not own their problems. After selling us an unearthed dangerous oven blowing out our main house fuse on a Sunday leaving us without electricity. Then taking a week to sort out only supplying us with ANOTHER faulty replacement leaving us without an oven for two weeks. A total of 6 half days taking time off work and waiting in for engineers pickups and delivery’s. They have NO quality control and is always your responsibility to chase them up even after numerous complaints and being left without an oven for two weeks. We eventually cancelled our or order as didn’t want to risk receiving another danderous oven or take time off work to wait in on another week day delivery....after facing 2 weeks stress without an oven, two children to feed we reordered a oven with Currys. We have had to do this NOT with the refunded money as that of course takes 3-5 day to appear back in your account even though I paid with paypal and will be receiving the refund to (the instantant transfer service!) We have received a fast next Sunday delivery and better service with Currys. I will never use this company again and would seriously recommend steering clear.

AO Price Match Is a misleading marketing campaign. AO would not match the price of another company because they could not verify the delivery date online!! AO online states "-The product must be in stock with the competitor and available for delivery within 10 days". I verified the item as in stock at the alternative supplier, and I phoned the company that offered the price and they verified delivery in 3 days time. I met all criteria required by AO, but they refused to price match. It does not state in their price match promise that they have to verify this online, I had to call them to price match, why can they not call to verify.

I bought a cooker off them which doesn't work the hobs work but the grill and oven don't after ringing them and being put through to different people got put through to the manufacturer who wanted to charge me £90 to come out and look at it as apparently as I put it in myself the warranty is null and void so was put through to the insurance company who said as I put it in myself the insurance was worthless even if it worked and broke down say six months from now I could never claim on it so I asked for a refund to be told they now class it as second hand and would keep 45% of the money I paid for it which I managed to get knocked down to 20% it doesn't say that on there website that they charge you if you want a refund if the item isn't working it says they give a full refund if your not happy with the item it doesn't say they only give you about half of what you paid for it feel totally ripped off .

Our cooker is less than two weeks old. A screw came lose securing one of the potentiometers controlling the induction hob, causing the control to wobble. Hotpoint told us we have to employ an electrician to diagnose this fault before they'll take action. AO just refer us back to Hotpoint. A youtube vid told me how to remove the front panel. I've retrieved the screw and replaced it myself, but I shouldn't rearlly have had to d that .... or organise an electrician. Dreadful service. Never buying from AO again or having another Hotpoint product.

I ordered washing machine and fridge from ao.com from the moment a placed my order and paid for it the phone call started about selling insurance and extra services from ao witch I never agreed to have this terrible experience and violation of mine privacy that was just a start of things that went wrong with ao. I started receiving text messages concerning mine delivery date and time. First message was that the delivery will be made around 8 am that was send to me around 11pm witch for me is lacking of good manners. Good taste and professionals services indicates that all phone calls concerning business should be made before 10pm. Second message send concerning delivery was stating time of delivery around 9am. On the day of actual delivery I received phone call at 7.20am informing me that delivery will be made in 10 minutes witch was not acceptable for me because is new property and I can not get to it in 10 minutes in rush hours traffic. Not to mentions very rude driver lacking basics manners. All experience shopping with ao was one of the worst I ever experienced. I would not recommend you use the company if you looking for smooth process. I already started informing family and friends about terrible experienced I received I would never use them again. Price is not everything sometimes is worth paying extra for polite professional service. I decided to cancel my order and to take my business elsewhere...

No service back up . Bread maker 4 months old that doesn’t work anymore and when you ring AO com they tell you that you have to speak to the manufacturere and organise yourself a pick up delivery and return it to Panasonic for repair. My consumer rights I thought was replace or refund . You can keep the repaired machine. 😡

I have purchased a washing machine which went wrong on two occasions. Took nearly a week to sort anything with their customer service team and constant repeat of what went wrong. Very poor communication , and after having my order placed 3 months before suddenly their security team decided to cancel my order after my complain. Would not recommend AO , very hard to get anything sorted if you have a problem.
